N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)-L-glutamate(GLDA)is an eco-friendly chelating agent that effectively extracts multivalent metal ions from waste activated sludge(WAS)flocs,which could potentially alter their ***,the effect of GLDA on the production of volatile fatty acids(VFAs)from WAS is not well ***,we demonstrate that pretreatment with GLDA at a concentration of 200 mmol per kg VSS results in a significant increase of 142%in extractable extracellular polymeric substances and enhances the total VFAs yield by 64%compared to untreated *** reveal GLDA's capability to mobilize organic-binding multivalent metal ions within sludge ***,post-pretreatment analyses showed the release of 69.1 mg L^(-1) of Ca and 109.8 mg L^(-1) of Fe ions from the flocs,leading to a more relaxed floc structure and a reduced apparent activation energy(10.6 versus 20 kJ mol1)for WAS *** dynamic simulations further demonstrate GLDA's preferential binding to Fe3þand Ca2þover Mg2þ.Our study suggests that GLDA pretreatment causes minimal disruption to reactor stability,thereby indicating the stability of microbial community *** has emerged as a viable pretreatment agent for enhancing volatile fatty acids production from waste activated sludge.

To solve the problems of excessive soil lumps,broken branches and seedlings in pods and difficulty in removing impurities in the harvested pods of peanuts in the hilly areas of southern China,which is due to the high soil viscosity and easy hardening,and to improve the soil removal effect of the peanut half-feed pod picker in hilly areas of China,this article designed a half-feed peanut-cleaning picker suitable for southern clay hilly areas and provided a detailed introduction to the overall structure,working principle,and adjustment methods of various operating *** field measurement experiments,the influencing factors and laws of soil removal performance indicators,such as the comprehensive soil removal rate and POD drop rate,were *** results showed that the comprehensive soil removal rate gradually increased with increasing soil patting frequency,soil patting amplitude,and picking roller speed,first increased and then decreased with increasing picking roller gap and gradually decreased with increasing soil patting plate gap and clamping conveyor chain *** comprehensive soil removal rate of the soil patting plate using the opposite patting method was greater than that of the swinging patting *** soil removal pod drop rate increased gradually with increasing soil patting frequency and amplitude and decreased with increasing soil patting plate gap and clamping conveyor chain *** soil removal pod drop rate of the soil patting plate using swing patting was lower than that using the opposite patting *** speed and gap of the picking roller had no effect on the soil removal pod drop *** frequency,amplitude,form,and gap of the soil patting plate had extremely significant impacts on the rate of decrease in the number of soil removal pod drop *** clamping conveyor chain speed had a significant impact,while the speed and gap of the picking roller had no significant *** influence of all factors on the comprehens

As an independent sand control unit or a common protective shell of a high-quality screen,the punching screen is the outermost sand retaining unit of the sand control pipe which is used in geothermal well or oil and gas ***,most screens only consider the influence of the internal sand retaining medium parameters in the sand control performance design while ignoring the influence of the plugging of the punching screen on the overall sand retaining performance of the *** explore the clogging mechanism of the punching screen,this paper established the clogging mechanism calculation model of a single punching screen sand control unit by using the computational fluid mechanics-discrete element method(CFD-DEM)combined *** to the combined motion of particles and fluids,the influence of the internal flow state on particle motion and accumulation was *** results showed that(1)the clogging process of the punching sand control unit is divided into three stages:initial clogging,aggravation of clogging and stability of *** the initial stage of blockage,coarse particles form a loose bridge structure,and blockage often occurs preferentially at the streamline gathering place below chamfering inside the sand control *** the stage of blockage intensification,the particle mass develops into a relatively complete sand bridge,which develops from both ends of the opening to the center of the *** the stable plugging stage,the sand deposits show a“fan shape”and form a“V-shaped”gully inside the punching slot element.(2)Under a certain reservoir particle-size distribution,The slit length and opening height have a large influence on the permeability and blockage rate,while the slit width size has little influence on the permeability and blockage *** microscopic clogging mechanism and its law of the punching screen prevention unit are proposed in this study,which has some field guidance significance for the design of punching screen

Satellite communications have attracted significant interests due to its advantages of large footprint and massive ***,the commonly used onboard beamforming is hard to achieve reliable security because of the highly correlated legitimate and wiretap downlink *** exploit the benefits of satellite-terrestrial integrated network(STIN)and a novel absorptive reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)for improving the security of satellite downlink communications(SDC)in the presence of eavesdroppers(Eves).This paper aims to maximize the achievable secrecy rate of the earth station(ES)while satisfying the signal reception constraints,harvested power threshold at the RIS,and total transmit power *** solve this nonconvex problem,we propose a penalty-function based dual decomposition scheme,which firstly transforms the original problem into a two-layer optimization ***,the outer layer and inner problems are solved by utilizing the successive convex approximation,Lagrange-dual and Rayleigh quotient methods to obtain the beamforming weight vectors and the reflective coefficient ***,simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme for enhancing the SDC security.

Low-temperature processed electron transport layer(ETL)of TiO_(2)that is widely used in planar perovskite solar cells(PSCs)has inherent low carrier mobility,resulting in insufficient photogenerated elec-tron transport and thus recombination loss at buried ***,we demonstrate an effective strategy of laser embedding of p-n homojunctions in the TiO_(2)ETL to accelerate electron transport in PSCs,through localized build-in electric fields that enables boosted electron mobility by two orders of *** embedding is found significantly helpful for not only the enhanced crystallization quality of TiO_(2)ETL,but the fabrication of perovskite films with larger-grain and the *** embedded p-n homojunction enables also the modulation of interfacial energy level between perovskite layers and ETLs,favoring for the reduced voltage deficit of *** from these merits,the formamidinium lead iodide(FAPbI_(3))PSCs employing such ETLs deliver a champion efficiency of 25.50%,along with much-improved device stability under harsh conditions,i.e.,maintain over 95%of their initial efficiency after operation at maximum power point under continuous heat and illumination for 500 h,as well as mixed-cation PSCs with a champion efficiency of 22.02%and over 3000 h of ambient storage under humidity stability of 40%.Present study offers new possibilities of regulating charge transport layers via p-n homojunction embedding for high performance optoelectronics.

Zinc-air batteries (ZABs) offer tremendous potential in various industries and daily life due to their excellent energy density,safety and ***,the practical application of ZABs has been severely hindered by challenges such as high low round-trip efficiencies and overpotential,primarily attributed to the inherent sluggish kinetics in the oxygen evolution reaction(OER) of air *** address these issues effectively and economically,heterojunction engineering accompanied by interfacial chemistry emerges as an ideal approach to designing efficient OER ***,a novel heterogeneous interfacial chemical structure,namely NiCoP/NiFe LDH (layered double hydroxide),needle-like NiCoP and NiFe LDH nanosheets were assembled from cores and shells,***,the NiCoP/NiFe LDH-based ZABs have an exceptionally long cycle life of 238 h,far superior to Pt/C+Ir/C batteries (～97 h).Theoretical calculations and experimental results demonstrate that NiCoP/NiFe LDH possesses tunable interfacial chemistry,demonstrating significant electronic,coordination,geometric and synergistic *** enhancements dramatically improve the active site density,intrinsic activity and electrochemical durability of the *** summary,this work provides a solid foundation for the development of costeffective OER electrocatalysts for electrochemical energy devices.

Zinc(Zn)-air batteries are widely used in secondary battery research owing to their high theoretical energy density,good electrochemical reversibility,stable discharge performance,and low cost of the anode active material ***,the Zn anode also leads to many challenges,including dendrite growth,deformation,and hydrogen precipitation *** this context,Zn dendrite growth has a greater impact on the cycle *** this dissertation,a dendrite growth model for a Zn-air battery was established based on electrochemical phase field theory,and the effects of the charging time,anisotropy strength,and electrolyte temperature on the morphology and growth height of Zn dendrites were studied.A series of experiments was designed with different gradient influencing factors in subsequent experiments to verify the theoretical simulations,including elevated electrolyte temperatures,flowing electrolytes,and pulsed *** simulation results show that the growth of Zn dendrites is controlled mainly by diffusion and mass transfer processes,whereas the electrolyte temperature,flow rate,and interfacial energy anisotropy intensity are the main *** experimental results show that an optimal electrolyte temperature of 343.15 K,an optimal electrolyte flow rate of 40 ml·min^(-1),and an effective pulse charging mode.

Lost circulation is a common downhole problem of drilling in geothermal and high-temperature,high-pressure(HTHP)*** circulation material(LCM)is a regular preventive and remedial measure for lost ***,conventional LCMs seem ineffective in high-temperature *** may be due to the changes in the mechanical properties of LCMs and their sealing performance under high-temperature *** understand how high temperature affects the fracture sealing performance of LCMs,we developed a coupled computational fluid dynamics-discrete element method(CFD-DEM)model to simulate the behavior of granular LCMs in *** summarized the literature on the effects of high temperature on the mechanical properties of LCMs and the rheological properties of drilling *** conducted sensitivity analyses to investigate how changing LCM slurry properties affected the fracture sealing efficiency at increasing *** results show that high temperature reduces the size,strength,and friction coefficient of LCMs as well as the drilling fluid ***,softer,and less frictional LCM particles have lower bridging probability and slower bridging *** particles tend to form dual-particle bridges rather than single-particle *** result in a deeper,tighter,but unstable sealing *** drilling fluid viscosity leads to faster and shallower sealing zones.
