Fast removal of ocular artifacts from electroencephalogram signals using spatial constraint independent component analysis based recursive least squares in brain-computer interface

Ocular artifacts cause the main interfering signals within electroencephalogram （EEG） signal measurements. An adaptive filter based on reference signals from an electrooculogram （EOG） can reduce ocular interference, but collecting EOG signals during a long-term EEG recording is inconvenient and uncomfortable for the subject. To remove ocular artifacts from EEG in brain-computer interfaces （BCIs）, a method named spatial constraint independent component analysis based recursive least squares （SCICA-RLS） is proposed. The method consists of two stages. In the first stage, independent component analysis （ICA） is used to decompose multiple EEG channels into an equal number of independent components （ICs）. Ocular ICs are identified by an automatic artifact detection method based on kurtosis. Then empirical mode decomposition （EMD） is employed to remove any cerebral activity from the identified ocular ICs to obtain exact altifact ICs. In the second stage, first, SCICA applies exact artifact ICs obtained in the first stage as a constraint to extract artifact ICs from the given EEG signal. These extracted ICs are called spatial constraint ICs （SC-ICs）. Then the RLS based adaptive filter uses SC-ICs as reference signals to reduce interference, which avoids the need for parallel EOG recordings. In addition, the proposed method has the ability of fast computation as it is not necessary for SCICA to identify all ICs like ICA. Based on the EEG data recorded from seven subjects, the new approach can lead to average classification accuracies of 3.3% and 12.6% higher than those of the standard ICA and raw EEG, respectively. In addition, the proposed method has 83.5% and 83.8% reduction in time-consumption compared with the standard ICA and ICA-RLS, respectively, which demonstrates a better and faster OA reduction.

Architecture-circuit-technology co-optimization for resistive random access memory-based computation-in-memory chips

Computation-in-memory(CIM) chips offer an energy-efficient approach to artificial intelligence computing workloads. Resistive random-access memory(RRAM)-based CIM chips have proven to be a promising solution for overcoming the von Neumann bottleneck. In this paper, we review our recent studies on the architecture-circuit-technology co-optimization of scalable CIM chips and related hardware demonstrations. To further minimize data movements between memory and computing units, architecture optimization methods have been introduced. Then, we propose a device-architecture-algorithm co-design simulator to provide guidelines for designing CIM systems. A physics-based compact RRAM model and an array-level analog computing model were embedded in the simulator. In addition, a CIM compiler was proposed to optimize the on-chip dataflow. Finally, research perspectives are proposed for future development.

Cytochrome P450 enzyme-copper phosphate hybrid materials with flower-like shape were prepared with a simple but efficient coprecipitation *** growth process of the hybrid flowers can be divided into three successive steps：coordination/nucleation,growth,and further *** concentration of enzymes in the mother liquor exerted great influence on the morphology and surface enzyme content of the *** catalytic performance in the reaction of selective oxidation of sulfide to sulfoxide was also *** hybrid flowers exhibited superior catalytic performance：satisfied thioanisole conversion and selectivity to methyl phenyl sulfoxide （both above 97%） with H2O2 as oxidant under mild reaction conditions,excellent stability and recyclability,and wide scope of *** results indicate that the hybrid materials are potentially good candidates in the industrial enzyme catalysis.

大径材人工林对保障木材供给安全、生态环境建设以及林业可持续发展具有重要意义。大径材人工林的高效培育一直是人工林研究的热点问题,然而由于我国大径材人工林研究起步较晚,大径材人工林高质量培育的关键技术有待进一步的突破、提升和集成。文中基于我国大径材人工林培育的现状,对大径材人工林培育的立地选择与调控、树种选择与遗传改良、林分结构调控、抚育管理等关键环节及其技术措施进行梳理,综述中国大径材人工林培育的理论与技术研究进展,并针对性提出未来应加强研究的关键技术,以期为我国人工林资源的高效培育提供参考。

In-situ constructed three-dimensional MoS_(2)–MoN heterostructure as the cathode of lithium–sulfur battery

Lithium-sulfur batteries are recognized as one of the most promising next-generation high-performance energy storage systems. However, obstacles like the irreversible capacity loss hinder its broad application. herein,we fabricated an interconnected three-dimensional MoS_(2)-MoN heterostructure(3D-MoS_(2)-MoN) via a facile salttemplate method, overcoming the intrinsic shortcomings such as poor conductivity and compact morphology of traditionally-synthesized transition metal sulfides(TMSs).Furthermore, excellent electrocatalysis ability and hierarchical pore structure effectively accelerate the sluggish lithium polysulfides conversions during cycling. As a result, 3D-MoS_(2)-MoN showed a high initial specific capacity of 1466 mAh·g^(-1)and excellent high-rate capability up to 4℃. A stable cycling performance with a sulfur loading of 2 mg·cm^(-2) was realized with a low decay rate of 0.069% per cycle. This work introduced a rational design route for the appliance of TMSs in the lithiumsulfur batteries.

Prevalence of osteoarthritis and association between smoking patterns and osteoarthritis in China:a cross-sectional study

Objective： The aims of this study were to estimate the prevalence of radiographic osteoarthritis （OA） and to assess the association between smoking patterns and OA prevalence in adults aged 50 years or older belonging to the Shanxi province of ***： A cross-sectional study in the rural regions of the Shanxi province was conducted among 2638 Chinese adults （aged ≥50 years）. Demographic characteristics and behavioral information were collected through epidemiological surveys. All participants with joint pain underwent plain radiographic examination and were diagnosed by a professional orthopedist. Associations between smoking patterns and the prevalence of OA were assessed using binary logistic regression ***： Among 2638 individuals （men, 50.3% and women, 49.7%; mean age, 61.5 years） included in the analysis, 49.8% had radiographic OA and 27.5% had knee OA. The prevalence of radiographic OA was higher in women than in men （P〈0.001）. After adjusting for potential confounding factors, there was a nonsignificant correlation between smoking and OA prevalence in the muttivariate model. Odds ratios （ORs） for all types of OA and knee OA were higher in active and passive smokers than in nonsmoking individuals after adjustments （OR 1.374; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.049-1.802; OR 1.440; 95% CI 1.059-1.958, respectively）.Conclusions： This study showed th at smoking may not be an independent risk factor for OA; however, there was a positive correlation between active and passive smoking and OA.

目的分析长链非编码RNA(lncRNA)人浆细胞瘤转化迁移基因1(PVT1)对呼吸道合胞病毒(RSV)感染人胚肺成纤维(heLF)细胞损伤的影响。方法本研究纳入于2020年1月一2023年5月在常州市第一人民医院确诊并住院治疗的RSV感染的哮喘患者38例和健康志愿者38名。实时定量聚合酶链反应(qRT-PCR)检测lncRNAPVT1和miR-625-5p表达情况。将heLF细胞分为NC组(未感染)、RSV组(RSV感染)、si-NC+RSV组(转染si-NC+RSV感染)、si-lncRNAPVT1+RSV组(转染si-lncRNAPVT1+RSV感染)、miR-NC+RSV组(转染miR-NC+RSV感染)、miR-625-5p+RSV组(转染miR-625-5p模拟物+RSV感染)、anti-miR-NC+si-lncRNAPVT1+RSV组(共转染anti-miR-NC与si-lncRNAPVT1+RSV感染)、anti-miR-625-5p+si-lncRNA PVT1+RSV组(共转染anti-miR-625-5p与si-lncRNAPVT1+RSV感染)。采用流式细胞仪检测细胞凋亡,免疫印迹法检测蛋白表达,酶联免疫吸附测定法检测肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)、白细胞介素(IL)-6含量。双荧光素酶报告实验分析lncRNAPVT1与miR-625-5p的靶向关系。结果RSV感染的患者血清和heLF细胞中lncRNAPVT1表达量比健康人血清或对照NC增加(均PheLF增加Bax、Cleaved-caspase-3蛋白表达量、TNF-α、IL-6含量、凋亡率(均PheLF细胞的Bax、Cleaved-caspase-3蛋白表达量、TNF-α、IL-6含量和细胞凋亡率均高于anti-miR-NC+si-lncRNAPVT1+RSV组(均PheLF细胞凋亡和炎症反应。

Facile Synthesis of Metalloporphyrins-Ba^2+Composites as Recyclable and Efficient Catalysts for Olefins Epoxidation Reactions

A facile co-precipitation method was developed to prepare the novel metalloporphyrins-Ba^2+composites with ca.3μm diameter and olive-like *** epoxidation reactions were employed to investigate their catalytic *** with the free metalloporphyrins,the composites exhibited not only the improved stability and recyclability,but also the enhanced catalytic *** catalytic behaviors could be related to the unique stnictiire of the composites,e.g.,the strong interaction between R-SO3^-and Ba^2+ions and the uniform distribution of metalloporphyrins on the catalyst surface,***,the composites showed good compatibility with a wide range of *** well-designed composites are expected to be efficient catalysts,alternative to many sophisticated-synthesized metalloporplirins-based materials,in the industrially important reactions.

Thermodynamics and density functional theory study of potassium dichromate interaction with galena

The adsorption heat and reaction rate constant of potassium dichromate on the surface of galena were studied. The results indicate that potassium dichromate tends to adsorption on the galena surface. The reaction order is only 0.08385, suggesting that the concentration of potassium dichromate has little influence on its adsorption on the galena surface. In addition, the simulation of CrO2 4- adsorption on the PbS （100） surface in the absence and presence of O2 was carried out by density functional theory （DFT）. The calculated results show that CrO2 4- species adsorb energetically at the Pb-S bond site, and the presence of O2 can enhance this adsorption.
