This study investigates poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) membranes as controlled release micro-matrices, which can be useful in therapeutic applications for optimizing the administration of drugs. Currently, the use of hydrogels is limited by protein size. This study investigates the delivery of PspA, a large protein of approximately 38 kD. Pneumococcal surface protein A (PspA) has been shown to provide protective immunity against pneumococcal infection and is considered as a pneumococcal vaccine. The protein release experiments demonstrated that from an initial pH 7.4, approximately 60% of PspA diffuse into a neutral environment with an initial burst and a declining rate reaching equilibrium. The results indicate that the protein was successfully incorporated and released from the membrane over time. The hydrogel and protein interaction is temporary, and the membrane system is ideal for protein drug delivery. The data confirm that the protein did not aggregate and was active after release. The protein release is promising and a step forward to develop microneedles to facilitate high molecular weight protein delivery as well as vaccine delivery.

Stratigraphic Definition and Correlation of Middle Triassic Volcaniclastic Facies in the External Dinarides： Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina

Middle Triassic volcaniclastic depositsin the External Dinarides of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are related to the rifting of the Tethyan Ocean. Three localities in the External Dinarides： Donje Pazariste, Bosansko Grahovo and Zelovo were biostratigraphically analysed in this study. The Middle Triassic carbonate deposits with volcaniclastic interlayers in Donje Pazariste were defined by means of conodonts. Rare ammonoid specimens were *** conodont and ammonoid taxa suggest these sections are of Early Illyrian to Early Fassanian Age. The section studied in Bosansko Grahovo is dominantly composed of volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks. Limestone peperites were collected for conodont analysis. Two conodont zones were defined, suggesting volcanic activity in the same, from Lower Illyrian to Fassanian, time interval. The Zelovo Section was biostratigraphically investigated by several authors. The pietra verde deposits from Zelovo are referred as late Fassanian to Early Longobardian Age. Biostratigraphic correlation from mentioned three localities imply that the magmatic activity in the External Dinarides, and formation of different volcaniclastic facies lasted from Illyrian to Longobardian, similar as in the surrounding western Tethyan territories.

Wireless sensor network(WSN)plays a vital part in real time tracking and data collection *** incorporates a set of numerous sensor nodes(SNs)commonly utilized to observe the target *** SNs operate using an inbuilt battery and it is not easier to replace or charge ***,proper utilization of available energy in the SNs is essential to prolong the lifetime of the *** this study,an effective Type-II Fuzzy Logic with Butterfly Optimization Based Route Selection(TFL-BOARS)has been developed for clustered *** TFL-BOARS technique intends to optimally select the cluster heads(CHs)and routes in the clustered ***,the TFL-BOARS technique incorporates Type-II Fuzzy Logic(T2FL)technique with distinct input parameters namely residual energy(RE),link quality(LKQ),trust level(TRL),inter-cluster distance(ICD)and node degree(NDE)to select CHs and construct ***,the butterfly optimization algorithm based route selection(BOARS)technique is derived to select optimal set of routes in the *** addition,the BOARS technique has computed afitness function using three parameters such as communication cost,distance and *** order to demonstrate the improved energy effectiveness and prolonged lifetime of the WSN,a wide-ranging simulation analysis was implemented and the experimental results reported the supremacy of the TFL-BOARS technique.

为解决大弹性负载伺服系统在低速和换向时存在的冲击和振动问题,提出一种基于负载力反馈的变论域双模糊控制算法。以拥有大弹性负载的液压伺服系统为对象,针对在最大负载处反向扭转时容易出现冲击的特点,采用负载力反馈进行补偿。同时,针对负载力随弹簧刚度和液压缸杆位移变化而变化的特点,提出变论域双层模糊控制算法。第一层模糊控制器以负载反馈作为输入,以第二层模糊控制器输出论域的伸缩因子作为输出,结合以误差反馈为输入的第二层模糊控制器,形成更加适合大弹性负载的控制方法。仿真和试验结果表明,提出的控制方法能够有效地解决伺服系统在大弹性负载下的换向冲击以及振动等问题,并且拥有良好的控制效果。

BACKGROUND Extra-intestinal manifestations in inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD)are frequent and involve virtually all ***,the clinical characteristics and course of inflammatory myopathies in IBD remain poorly described and mostly related to orbital ***,alternative therapeutic strategies in non-responder patients to corticosteroid therapy must still be *** SUMMARY A 33-year-old woman with a history of unclassified colitis presented with acute bilateral calf *** admission,her clinical and biological examinations were ***,magnetic resonance imaging showed bilateral inflammatory changes in gastrocnemius muscles suggestive of *** biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of myositis and demonstrated an inflammatory infiltrate mainly located in the perimysial compartment including lympho-plasmocytic cells with the formation of several granulomatous structures while the endomysium was relatively *** combined clinical,biological and histomyopathological findings were concordant with the diagnosis of‘gastrocnemius myalgia syndrome’(GMS),a rare disorder associated with Crohn’s disease(CD).Ileocolonoscopy confirmed CD diagnosis and systemic corticosteroids(CS)therapy was started,resulting in a rapid clinical *** CS tapering,however,she experienced a relapse of GMS together with a severe active *** was started and allowed a sustained remission of both conditions at the latest follow-up(20 mo).CONCLUSION The GMS represent a rare CD-associated inflammatory myopathy for which anti-tumour necrosis factor-αtherapy might be considered as an effective therapeutic option.

Fruit fly algorithm is a novel intelligent optimization algorithm based on foraging behavior of the real fruit flies. In order to find optimum solution for an optimization problem, fixed parameters are obtained as a result of manual test in fruit fly algorithm. In this study, it is aimed to find the optimum solution by analyzing the constant parameter concerning the direction of the algorithm instead of manual defining on initialization stage. The study shows an automated approach for finding the related parameter by utilizing grid search algorithm. According to the experimental results, it can be seen that this approach could be used as an alternative way for finding related parameter or other ones in order to achieve optimum model.
