In this work, Undoped Zinc Oxide (ZnO) and Sndoped Zinc Oxide (ZnO:Sn) films have been deposited by sol-gel dip coating method, where the Sn/Zn atomic ratio was 3% and 5% in the solution. The effects of Sn incorporation on morphological, structural and optical properties of ZnO films were investigated. The Scanning electron Microscopy (SEM) showed that the morphological surface of the films was affected by Sn low doping. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns showed that all films have polycrystalline structures, and the doping incorporation has not lead to substantial changes in the structural characteristics of ZnO films. The crystallite size was calculated using the well-known Scherrer’s formula and found to be in the range of 23 - 40 nm. The measurements from UV-Visible Spectrophotometer (U-Vis) indicated that the highest average optical transmittance in the visible region was related to Undoped ZnO film, then the optical band gap and Urbach energy values of thin films were calculated. The X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) has demonstrated that Sn is incorporated in ZnO lattice.

Plank quantum and classical string energy relations seem to be uncorrelated. This work correlated them. The relativistic energy-momentum relation has been used together with plank and de Brogglie hypothesis to prove that the wave group velocity is equal to the particle velocity in both ordinary and curved space. The plank energy relation is shown also to be related to the classical energy relation of an oscillating string. Starting from plank energy relation for n photons and performing integration, the expression of classical string energy was obtained. This means that one can treat electromagnetic waves as a collection of continuous photons having frequencies ranging from zero to w. Conversely, starting from classical string energy relation by differentiating it with respect to angular frequency, the plank quantum energy for n photons has been found. This means that the quanta results from separation of electromagnetic waves to single isolated waves. Each wave consists of n photons or quanta.

Signature verification involves vague situations in which a signature could resemble many reference samples ormight differ because of handwriting variances. By presenting the features and similarity score of signatures from thematching algorithm as fuzzy sets and capturing the degrees of membership, non-membership, and indeterminacy,a neutrosophic engine can significantly contribute to signature verification by addressing the inherent uncertaintiesand ambiguities present in signatures. But type-1 neutrosophic logic gives these membership functions fixed values,which could not adequately capture the various degrees of uncertainty in the characteristics of signatures. Type-1neutrosophic representation is also unable to adjust to various degrees of uncertainty. The proposed work exploresthe type-2 neutrosophic logic to enable additional flexibility and granularity in handling ambiguity, indeterminacy,and uncertainty, hence improving the accuracy of signature verification systems. Because type-2 neutrosophiclogic allows the assessment of many sources of ambiguity and conflicting information, decision-making is moreflexible. These experimental results show the possible benefits of using a type-2 neutrosophic engine for signatureverification by demonstrating its superior handling of uncertainty and variability over type-1, which eventuallyresults in more accurate False Rejection Rate (FRR) and False Acceptance Rate (FAR) verification results. In acomparison analysis using a benchmark dataset of handwritten signatures, the type-2 neutrosophic similaritymeasure yields a better accuracy rate of 98% than the type-1 95%.

Safety of Lebanese Bottled Waters: VOCs Analysis and Migration Studies

Despite the worldwide increase in the consumption of PET-bottled mineral waters compared to tap waters encouraged by its microbiological and chemical safety for public health, contaminants could migrate from the plastic packaging into the water and induce adverse effects on human health. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, ortho, meta, and para-xylenes (BTEX), styrene, chlorobenzene and benzaldehyde are among the potential contaminants of bottled waters. This study aimed to assess Lebanese PET-bottled waters, in respect of VOCs contents, with comparison to polycarbonate-bottled and tap waters. Both HS-SPME-GC/FID and SPE-GC/FID were optimized and validated for VOCs determination in the waters, and their performances were compared. The HS-SPME-GC/FID was valid (Afnor NF T 90-210 (May 2009)) for all the studied molecules with limits of quantifications (LOQ) far lower the maximum contaminants levels (MCLs) set by both US-EPA and WHO. SPE-GC/FID was valid only for ethylbenzene, m/p-xylenes, o-xylene, and styrene, with poorer LOQs. HS-SPME-GC/FID was used therefore for VOCs monitoring in studied water samples showing the safety of the Lebanese bottled-water. The effects of bottles storage conditions (time, and exposure to sunlight) on VOCs migration were also studied.

The serological prevalence of foot and mouth disease virus (FMDV) among the cattle population in the North region of Cameroon was determined using elISA (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assays) serological tests for structural as well as non-structural proteins. In these cattle, FMDV RNA was identified, amplified, sequenced and the sequences were used to construct a phylogenetic tree. A sedentary cattle population randomly selected from six veterinary centres in the North region was sampled twice, six months apart. High prevalence of FMDV antibody was recorded in the first (402/466 (85.84%)) and second (358/411 (86.90%)) sampling periods. There was no significant difference (P > 0.05) in prevalence of FMDV antibody between the two sampling periods. Goudali and Peulh breeds of cattle and animals of three to five years old were the most infected with FMDV and mostly in the months of May and August. A seroprevalence of 100% (n = 14) of FMDV against serotypes A and O was observed in sera from convalescent animals in the study area. FMDV antigen detection elISA showed a prevalence of 18/37 (48.65%) for serotypes SAT1 (8.1%), SAT2 (35.1%), A (10.8%) and O (2.7%) among the clinically infected animals. There was no significant difference (P > 0.05) in prevalence of FMDV RNA between the sampling periods. A prevalence of FMDV RNA (17.5% (n = 120) and 16.7% (n = 240)) was observed among the sedentary animals that were sampled four to five months apart. FMDV RNA prevalence of 28/37 (75.6%) among clinically infected animals was also observed, thus confirming all the 12 outbreaks investigated. Sequence analysis of VP1 coding gene of the SAT2 serotype showed that it was homologous to the Libyan isolates (that caused epidemics in northern Africa in 2012) and also clustered with the serotypes isolated from both Nigeria and Sudan in 2007.

The novel coronavirus,SARS-CoV-2,which has caused millions of death globally is recognized to be unstable and recalcitrant in the environment,especially in the way it has been evolving to form new and highly transmissible *** particular concerns are human-environment interactions and the handling and reusing the environmental materials,such as effluents,sludge,or biosolids laden with the SARS-CoV-2 without adequate treatments,thereby suggesting potential transmission and health *** study assesses the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in effluents,sludge,and ***,we evaluate the environmental,ecological,and health risks of reusing these environmental materials by wastewater/sludge workers and farmers.A systematic review of literature from the Scopus database resulted in a total of 21 articles(11 for effluents,8 for sludge,and 2 for biosolids)that met the criteria for meta-analysis,which are then subdivided into 30 meta-analyzed *** prevalence of SAR-CoV-2 RNA in effluent and sludge based on random-effect models are 27.51 and 1012.25,respectively,with a 95%CI between 6.14 and 48.89 for the effluent,and 104.78 and 1019.71 for the ***,the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in the biosolids based on the fixed-effect model is 30.59,with a 95%CI between 10.10 and *** prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in environmental materials indicates the inefficiency in some of the treatment systems currently deployed to inactivate and remove the novel virus,which could be a potential health risk concern to vulnerable wastewater workers in particular,and the environmental and ecological issues for the population at *** timely review portends the associated risks in handling and reusing environmental materials without proper and adequate treatments.

Chest Ultrasound versus Chest X-Ray in Children with Lower Respiratory Tract Infections

Background: Lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs) are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among children during early childhood. Lung ultrasound is a relatively simple bedside method helping early diagnosis of these conditions. Purpose: To compare the findings of chest X-ray (CXR) and of lung ultrasound (LUS) among children with lower respiratory tract infections. Subjects and Methods: A comparative cross-sectional study that included 100 children aged 6 months to 6 years with lower respiratory tract infections and 100 healthy age- and sex-matched children (controls). Included children were recruited from Mansoura University children hospital during the period from September 2020 to June 2021. Detailed findings of chest X-ray and lung ultrasound were compared. Results: Among 100 patients with LRTIs, the diagnosis of pneumonia, bronchiolitis and bronchitis were reported in 41%, 36% and 23% of cases respectively. Lung ultrasound was more sensitive than chest X-ray for diagnosing pneumonia (97.6% for LUS vs. 92.7% for CXR) and bronchiolitis (91.7% for LUS vs. 77.8% for CXR). Conclusion: Lung ultrasound is a sensitive tool for the assessment of lower respiratory tract infections. Further steps for application and validation are recommended.

The number of blogs and other forms of opinionated online content has increased dramatically in recent *** fields,including academia and national security,place an emphasis on automated political article orientation *** articles(especially in the Arab world)are different from other articles due to their subjectivity,in which the author’s beliefs and political affiliation might have a significant influence on a political *** categories representing the main political ideologies,this problem may be thought of as a subset of the text categorization(classification).In general,the performance of machine learning models for text classification is sensitive to hyperparameter ***,the feature vector used to represent a document must capture,to some extent,the complex semantics of natural *** this end,this paper presents an intelligent system to detect political Arabic article orientation that adapts the categorical boosting(CatBoost)method combined with a multi-level feature *** features at multiple levels can enhance the model’s ability to discriminate between different classes or *** level may capture different aspects of the input data,contributing to a more comprehensive ***,a robust and efficient gradient-boosting algorithm,is utilized to effectively learn and predict the complex relationships between these features and the political orientation labels associated with the articles.A dataset of political Arabic texts collected from diverse sources,including postings and articles,is used to assess the suggested ***,reform,and revolutionary are the three subcategories of these *** results of this study demonstrate that compared to other frequently used machine learning models for text classification,the CatBoost method using multi-level features performs better with an accuracy of 98.14%.

Background: Test-retest strength reliability of the electronic Push/Pull Dynamometer (EPPD) in the measurement of the extensor and flexor muscles on a new constructed chair. The objective of the study was to assess reliability of electronic Push/Pull Dynamometer in the measurement of the knee flexion and extension at 90° and 60° on a new constructed chair. The aims of the author: To assess reliability of electronic Push/Pull Dynamometer in the measurement of the knee flexion and extension at 90° and 60° on a new constructed chair. Design: A test-retest reliability study. Subjects: One hundred healthy students male and female (mean age, 21y). Methods: Maximum isometric strength of the quadriceps and hamstring muscle groups was measured using the EPPD were recorded at 60° and 90° for 3 trials on 2 occasions. Reliability was assessed with the Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), mean and standard deviation (SD) of measurements, and smallest real differences were calculated for the maximum and for the mean and work of the 3 repetitions. Results: Mean strength ranged from 50.44 kg for knee flexion to 55.76 kg for knee extension 50.44 kg to 61.98 kg at 90° hip flexion. Test-retest reliability Intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) ranged from 0.85 to 0.99. ICCs for test-retest reliability ranged from 0.780 to 0.998. Conclusions: The results of the reliability study indicate that the EPPD in reliable dynamometer to use in determining lower limb muscle force production. It can be used to measure disease progression and to evaluate changes in knee extension and flexion strength at the individual patient level.

Water seepage erosion has been and remains one of the major engineering problems. However, most engineers will much depend on borehole data and soil test for designing and problem detection. By considering of the cost and destructive method, selection of geoelectrical prospecting would be appropriate. Therefore, two electrical geophysical surveys were carried out in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato’ Haji Mohd Nor, Gelugor, Pulau Pinang to map the presence of the unknown underground water sources (saturated zones) and its movement. With the total of seven resistivity lines parallel to each other and self potential (SP) with 5 m × 5 m gridding survey were successfully done. The resistivity result from line 1 (R1) to line 6 (R6) shows the subsurface consist of saturated zones with range between 3 m up to 10 m depth, before it reaches the R7 which is believed as the accumulation zone. Meanwhile, as for SP result it shows the water flow from higher value (north-east) towards the lower value which is mostly at the south area. In conclusion, geoelectrical survey could assist in detecting and solving engineering problems as it proven by the result from each method.
