A new europium(Ⅲ)complex containing(4-Methyl-2-oxo-2 H-chromen-7-yloxy)-acetic acid moiety(CMMC)was synthesized,characterized,and confirmed as antitumor agent and fluorescent *** spectroscopic measurements of Eu(Ⅲ)in the presence of CMMC were obtained in different *** results show that the strongest Eu(Ⅲ)emission bands were monitored in iso-propyl alcohol while the weakest Eu(Ⅲ)emission band was observed in *** interaction of Eu(Ⅲ)-(CMMC)2 complex with DNA was monitored using absorption and emission *** fluorescence titration measurements,the binding constants of DNA with Eu(Ⅲ)-(CMMC)_2 complex were found to be 1.04×10~5 L·mol^(-1) in Tris-HCl and 1.17×10~7 L·mol^(-1) in DMSO-Tris-HCl buffer(9∶1 V/V).Hypochromism was observed from the absorption titration experiment which indicates the intercalation of Eu(Ⅲ)-complex between the base pair of *** result further confirmed by fluorescent Ethidium bromide displacement *** fluorescence calibration curve was used for the determination of DNA with LOD of 1.2 ng in DMSO-Tris-HCl buffer(9∶1 V/V)and 5 ng in Tris-HCl *** preliminary antitumor investigation shows promising cytotoxicity against MDA-MB-231,MCF-7(mammary cancer),and PC-3(prostate carcinoma)cell lines with IC50 values of 40.63,25.42 and 30.25μmol·L^(-1),respectively.

High performance decoupled active and reactive power control for three-phase grid-tied inverters using model predictive control

Finite control set-model predictive control (FCS-MPC) is employed in this paper to control the operation of a three-phase grid-connected string inverter based on a direct PQ control scheme. The main objective is to achieve high-performance decoupled control of the active and reactive powers injected to the grid from distributed energy resources (DER).The FCS-MPC scheme instantaneously searches for and applies the optimum inverter switching state that can achieve certain goals, such as minimum deviation between reference and actual power;so that both power components (P and Q) are well controlled to their reference *** addition, an effective method to attenuate undesired cross coupling between the P and Q control loops, which occurs only during transient operation, is investigated. The proposed method is based on the variation of the weight factors of the terms of the FCS-MPC cost function, so a higher weight factor is assigned to the cost function term that is exposed to greater disturbance. Empirical formulae of optimum weight factors as functions of the reference active and reactive power signals are proposed and mathematically derived. The investigated FCS-MPC control scheme is incorporated with the LVRT function to support the grid voltage in fulfilling and accomplishing the up-to-date grid codes. The LVRT algorithm is based on a modification of the references of active and reactive powers as functions of the instantaneous grid voltage such that suitable values of P and Q are injected to the grid during voltage *** performance of the elaborated FCS-MPC PQ scheme is studied under various operating scenarios, including steady-state and transient conditions. Results demonstrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed scheme with regard to the achievement of high-performance operation and quick response of grid-tied inverters during normal and fault modes.

The Ni-Nb_(2)O_(5)nanocatalysts have been prepared by the solgel method,and the catalytic hydrodeoxygenation(HDO)performance of anisole as model compound is *** results show that Nb exists as amorphous Nb_(2)O_(5)species,which can promote Ni *** addition of Nb_(2)O_(5)increases the acidity of the ***,when the content of niobium is high,there is an inactive Nb-Ni-O mixed *** size and morphology of Ni grains in catalysts are different due to the difference of Nb/Ni molar *** Ni_(0.9)Nb_(0.1)sample has the largest surface area of 170.8 m^(2)·g^(-1)among the catalysts prepared in different Nb/Ni molar ratios,which is mainly composed of spherical nanoparticles and crack *** HDO of anisole follows the reaction route of the hydrogenation HYD *** Ni_(0.9)Nb_(0.1)catalyst displayed a higher HDO performance for anisole than Ni *** selectivity to cyclohexane over the Ni_(0.9)Nb_(0.1)sample is about 10 times that of Ni catalyst at 220℃and 3 MPa H_(2).The selectivity of cyclohexane is increased with the increase of reaction *** anisole is almost completely transformed into cyclohexane at 240℃,3 MPa H_(2)and 4 h.

Reduced Heart Rate Response during Drug-Induced Stress Is Related to the Severity of Perfusion Defect

Introduction: During the pharmacological stress test with dipyridamole, a normal hemodynamic response is slightly reduced blood pressure and raised heart rate (HR). However, sometimes the HR response is reduced. This study investigated the relationship between the HR response during the dipyridamole stress test and the severity of the perfusion defects using Thallium 201 myocardial perfusion imaging. Methods: We enrolled 50 patients undergoing dipyridamole stress at the nuclear cardiology Lab, Main University Hospital of Alexandria. Standard dipyridamole protocol (infusion over 4 min) and standard thallium 201 protocol (2 min after dipyridamole infusion) were followed. If the heart rate (HR) ratio (peak HR/rest HR) was 1.20 or less, it was considered a reduced response. Total perfusion defect (TPD), summed stress score (SSS), summed rest score (SRS), and summed difference score (SDS) for myocardial perfusion were calculated. Patients with reduced HR response and normal HR responses were compared and independent predictors of reduced HR response were determined. Results: About 56% of patients had reduced HR response;which included a high number of patients with a history of dyslipidemia and diabetes mellitus. The reduced HR response group showed lower SSS, SRS. The analysis showed that the independent predictors of reduced HR response were rest HR, SSS, and diabetes mellitus. Conclusions: Reduction in the HR response during the dipyridamole-induced stress test is related to the severity of perfusion defect, diabetes mellitus, and Dyslipidemia.

Effects of aqueous extract of Notobasis syriaca on lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation in rats

Objective: To investigate the effects of a dry aqueous extract of Notobasis syriaca(N. syriaca)on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced inflammation in rats. Methods: Rats were fed the dried extract [500 mg/(kg·d)] for three consecutive days and then were intraperitoneally injected with LPS(1 mg/kg). Two hours after LPS injection, rats were sacrificed and blood and brain regions were collected. Inflammatory mediators' levels in plasma and homogenates of brain regions were determined by ELISA. Results: Pretreatment with the N. syriaca extract resulted in significant anti-inflammatory effects(P<0.05), including: i) attenuated LPS-induced hypothermia; ii) decreased hypothalamus and hippocampus prostaglandin E_2 levels in the LPStreated rats; and, iii) reduced hypothalamus and hippocampus interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-a levels in the LPS-treated rats. Conclusions: These results suggest that N. syriaca possesses anti-inflammatory properties. Thus, it is possible that long-term consumption of this plant may result in beneficial pharmacological effects.

Leishmania donovani is one of the causative agents of visceral *** immune response against Leishmania depends on CD4^(+)T helper type 1 *** immune system is unable to combat Leishmania because the parasite can exert several immune suppressive mechanisms that facilitate escaping the immune *** of these mechanisms is the up-regulation of programmed death-1/programmed death ligand-1 pathway which causes T cells to undergo *** is strongly linked to the immune response,with some research indicating that activating autophagy reduces the immune response to some intracellular pathogens,while others indicate that activating autophagy limits the growth of intracellular *** was found to subvert the host defense mechanisms for its own persistence,such as Leishmania-induced autophagy *** was reported to activate autophagy in different studies,thus getting a dual benefit by evading the immune system and simultaneously utilizing the autophagy byproducts as *** this review,we introduced different immune evasion/suppressive mechanisms used by Leishmania,and different immunotherapies which were developed *** focused on the programmed death-1/programmed death ligand-1 pathway as well as autophagy with the potential interplay of both mechanisms.

Analyzing the ZnO and CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3) as Emitter Layer for Silicon Based Heterojunction Solar Cells

Today,it has become an important task to modify existing traditional silicon-based solar cell factory to produce high-efficiency silicon-based heterojunction solar cells,at a lower ***,the aim of this paper is to analyze CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3) and ZnO materials as an emitter layer for p-type silicon wafer-based heterojunction solar ***_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3) and ZnO can be synthesized using the cheap Sol-Gel method and can form n-type *** propose to combine these two materials since CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3) is a great light absorber and ZnO has an optimal complex refractive index which can be used as antireflection *** photoelectric parameters of n-CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3)/p-Si,n-ZnO/p-Si,and n-Si/p-Si solar cells have been studied in the range of 20–200 nm of emitter layer *** has been found that the short circuit current for CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3)/p-Si and n-ZnO/p-Si solar cells is almost the same when the emitter layer thickness is in the range of 20–100 ***,when the emitter layer thickness is greater than 100 nm,the short circuit current of CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3)/p-Si exceeds that of n-ZnO/*** optimal emitter layer thickness for n-CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3)/p-Si and n-ZnO/p-Si was found equal to 80 *** this value,the short-circuit current and the fill factor were estimated around 18.27 mA/cm^(2) and 0.77 for n-CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3)/p-Si and 18.06 mA/cm^(2) and 0.73 for n-ZnO/*** show that the efficiency of n-CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3)/p-Si and n-ZnO/p-Si solar cells with an emitter layer thickness of 80 nm are 1.314 and 1.298 times greater than efficiency of traditional n-Si/p-Si for the same *** findings will help perovskites materials to be more appealing in the PV industry and accelerate their development to become a viable alternative in the renewable energy sector.

An Investigation of ~4He+^(12)C and ~4He+^(16)O Reactions Using the Cluster Model

The α-target semimicroscopic single folding potentials have been derived by folding a composite (repul-sive and attractive) effective α-α interaction with the α-cluster distribution density in the target nuclei. The obtained potentials are considered as the real part of the nuclear optical model potentials, while the imaginary parts are phe-nomenologicaly expressed using the Woods-Saxon form. Nine sets of measured experimental data of the 4He+12C and 4 He+16O elastic rainbow scattering over the energy range 80-240 MeV are analyzed using the obtained potentials. The data are successfully reproduced using the extracted potentials. The resulted reaction cross sections are also investigated and compared with the available corresponding data.
