Antimicrobial resistance(AMR)poses a critical threat to global health and development,with environmental factors—particularly in urban areas—contributing significantly to the spread of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs).However,most research to date has been conducted at a local level,leaving significant gaps in our understanding of the global status of antibiotic resistance in urban *** address this issue,we thoroughly analyzed a total of 86,213 ARGs detected within 4,728 metagenome samples,which were collected by the Meta SUB International Consortium involving diverse urban environments in 60 cities of 27 countries,utilizing a deep-learning based *** findings demonstrated the strong geographical specificity of urban environmental resistome,and their correlation with various local socioeconomic and medical *** also identified distinctive evolutionary patterns of ARG-related biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs)across different countries,and discovered that the urban environment represents a rich source of novel *** study provides a comprehensive overview of the global urban environmental resistome,and fills a significant gap in our knowledge of large-scale urban antibiotic resistome analysis.

We have developed a comprehensive software suite for bioinformatics research of cDNAs; it is aimed at rapid characterization of the features of genes and the proteins they code. Methods implemented include the detection of translation initia- tion and termination signals, statistical analysis of codon usage, comparative study of amino acid composition, comparative modeling of the structures of product proteins, prediction of alternative splice forms, and metabolic pathway reconstruction. Role of androgen receptor in prostate cancer

The growth of prostate cancer is sensitive to androgen, and hormonal therapy has been used for treatment of ad-vanced cancer. About 80% of prostate cancers initially respond to hormonal therapy, howerver, more than half of the re-sponders gradually become resistant to this therapy. Changes in tumors from an androgen-responsive to an androgen-unre-sponsive state have been widely discussed. Since androgen action is mediated by androgen receptor (AR), abnormalitiesof AR is believed to play an important role of the loss of androgen responsiveness in prostate cancer. Aim： To show whether molecular motor dynein on a microtubule track, molecular motor myosin Va, motor recruiter myosin Va, VIIa-Rab27a/b interacting protein （MyRIP）, and vesicle receptor Rab27b on an F-actin track were present during human and monkey spermiogenesis involving intramanchette transport （IMT）. Methods： Spermiogenic cells were obtained from three men with obstructive azoospermia and normal adult cynomolgus monkey （Macacafascieularis）. Immunocytochemical detection and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） analysis of the proteins were carried out. Samples were analyzed by light microscope. Results： Using RT-PCR, we found that dynein, myosin Va, MyRIP and Rab27b were expressed in monkey testis. These proteins were localized to the manchette, as shown by immunofluorescence, particularly during human and monkey spermiogenesis. Conclusion： We speculate that during primate spermiogenesis, those proteins that compose microtubule-based and actin-based vesicle transport systems are actually present in the manchette and might possibly be involved in intramanchette transport.

Aim: To identify the metastasis suppressor genes for prostate cancer. Methods: A copy of human chromosomeswas introduced into the highly metastatic Dunning R-3327 rat prostate cancer cells by the use of microcell-mediatedchromosome transfer. Relationships between the size of human chromosomes introduced into microcell hybrid clonesand the number of lung metastases produced by the clones were analyzed to determine which part of human chromo-somes contained the metastasis suppressor gene (s) for prostate cancer. To determine portions of human chromosomesintroduced, G-banding chromosomal analysis, fluorescence in sim hybridization analysis, and polymerase chain reac-tion analysis were performed. Results: Each of microcell hybrid clones containing human chromosomes 7, 8, 10,11, 12, or 17 showed decreased ability to metastasize to the lung without any loss of tumorigenicity. This demonstratesthat these human chromosomes contain metastasis suppressor genes for prostate cancer. Spontaneous deletion of portionsof human chromosomes was observed in the human chromosome 7, 10, 11, 12, and 17 studies. In the human chromo-some 8 study, irradiated microcell-mediated chromosome transfer was performed to enrich chromosomal arm deletionsof human chromosome 8. Molecular and cytogenetic analyses of microcell hybrid clones demonstrated that metastasissuppressor genes on human chromosomes were located on 7q21-22, 7q31.2-32, 8p21-12, 10q11-22, 11p13-11.2,12p11-q13, 12q24-ter, and 17pter-q23. KAII and MKK4/SEKI were identified as metastasis suppressor genes from11p11. 2 and 17p12, respectively. Conclusion: This assay system is useful to identify metastasis suppressor gene(s) for prostate cancer.

＜正＞ Conjugated linoleic acid （CLA） and alpha - linolenic acid （n-3） have various bioactivities. such as decreasing effects on body fat contents and anti-thrombotic or anti - platelet aggregation. In addition, there is competition mechanism between n - 3 and n - 6 fatty acid, and so the n - 3/n - 6 ratio seems to be more important in *** is no report on the fatty acid composition in Aigamo ducks （Japanese crossbreed of mallards and domestic ducks）. In the present study, we established measuring method for CLA by capillary gas chromatography and found, for the first time. 9c,11t CLA in fatty acids obtained from the duck （0.41±0.04 mg/g of lipid,n=5）. but not in those from chicken. Analysis of total fatty acid composition of the duck indicated that the n - 3/n - 6 ratio of the ducks is higher than that of chicken, suggesting Aigamo duck could be a healthy food material,since the ratio would be taken seriously rather than fatty acid contents in recent nutritional science.

The amount of waste heat in a space facility became larger, because of increase in the space platform size and its power consumption. It requires development of high-performance space thermal management systems handling a large amount of waste. Boiling two-phase flow could become powerful means for this system because a boiling and condensation system is one of the most efficient modes of heat transfer due to phase change (liquid-vapor). However, gravity effects on boiling two-phase flow phenomena and the corresponding heat transfer characteristics are not clear. Therefore, we prepare the experiments of boiling two-phase flow utilizing a long-term microgravity environment onboard a Japanese Experimental Module "KIBO" in the International Space Station (ISS) as one of the JAXA official projects. In this paper, recent progress of the preparation for the project is reported.

目的四氢生物蝶呤(BH4)可以使BH4缺乏症病人的血液苯丙氨酸水平正常化,但是对苯丙酮酸尿症(PKU)病人无效。最近在新生儿PKU筛查中发现了对BH4有反应的轻度PKU患者。本研究将探讨BH4和苯丙氨酸羟化酶(PAH)基因突变在对BH4有反应的轻度PKU和轻度高苯丙酸血症(HPA)患者中的作用。方法对经新生儿PKU筛查中发现的生物蝶呤代谢正常的轻度HPA患者,进行单次(10mg/kg)、4次、1周[20 mg/(kg·d)]的BH4口服负荷试验及长期BH4治疗,评估其对BH4口服负荷试验的反应性。结果在单剂量BH4口服负荷试验中,典型PKU患者的血苯丙氨酸水平没有降低。在单剂量BH4口服负荷试验中血苯丙氨酸水平下降超过20%的患者,在4次BH4口服负荷试验中下降亦超过20%。1周BH4负荷试验确认在单剂量和4次BH4负荷试验中表现出弱反应性的病人对BH4有反应。许多患轻度PKU和轻度HPA且有R241C基因位点的病人,都对BH4治疗有反应。在无BH4反应性的典型PKU病人中未发现R241C、P407S和A373T基因突变。结论1周BH4负荷试验用于诊断BH4反应性PAH缺乏症最为有效。等位基因R241C、P407S和A373T与轻度HPA和轻度PKU病人具有H4反应性有关。BH4治疗是针对轻度HPA和轻度PKU的一种新颖、有效的药物治疗,有望代替限制苯丙氨酸饮食的方法。
