Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have been widely used in military,medical,wireless communications,aerial surveillance,*** key topic involving UAVs is pose estimation in autonomous navigation.A standard procedure for this process is to combine inertial navigation system sensor information with the global navigation satellite system(GNSS)***,some factors can interfere with the GNSS signal,such as ionospheric scintillation,jamming,or *** alternative method to avoid using the GNSS signal is to apply an image processing approach by matching UAV images with georeferenced *** a high effort is required for image edge *** a support vector regression(SVR)model is proposed to reduce this computational load and processing *** dynamic partial reconfiguration(DPR)of part of the SVR datapath is implemented to accelerate the process,reduce the area,and analyze its granularity by increasing the grain size of the reconfigurable *** show that the implementation in hardware is 68 times faster than that in *** architecture with DPR also facilitates the low power consumption of 4 mW,leading to a reduction of 57%than that without *** is also the lowest power consumption in current machine learning hardware ***,the circuitry area is 41 times *** with Gaussian kernel shows a success rate of 99.18%and minimum square error of 0.0146 for testing with the planning *** system is useful for adaptive applications where the user/designer can modify/reconfigure the hardware layout during its application,thus contributing to lower power consumption,smaller hardware area,and shorter execution time.

The increasing volume of data in the area of environmental sciences needs analysis and interpretation. Among the challenges generated by this “data deluge”, the development of efficient strategies for the knowledge discovery is an important issue. Here, statistical and tools from computational intelligence are applied to analyze large data sets from meteorology and climate sciences. Our approach allows a geographical mapping of the statistical property to be easily interpreted by meteorologists. Our data analysis comprises two main steps of knowledge extraction, applied successively in order to reduce the complexity from the original data set. The goal is to identify a much smaller subset of climatic variables that might still be able to describe or even predict the probability of occurrence of an extreme event. The first step applies a class comparison technique: p-value estimation. The second step consists of a decision tree (DT) configured from the data available and the p-value analysis. The DT is used as a predictive model, identifying the most statistically significant climate variables of the precipitation intensity. The methodology is employed to the study the climatic causes of an extreme precipitation events occurred in Alagoas and Pernambuco States (Brazil) at June/2010.

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune treatable but not curable *** are a multiplicity of medications for multiple sclerosis therapy,including a class entitled disease-modifying drugs that are mainly indicated to reduce the number and severity of disease *** all patients respond well to these therapies,and minor to severe adverse effects have been *** D,called sunshine vitamin,is being studied as a possible light at the end of the *** this review,we recapitulated the similar immunopathogenesis of multiple sclerosis and experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis,the immunomodulatory and neuroprotective potential of vitamin D and the state-of-art concerning its supplementation to multiple sclerosis ***,based on our and other groups’experimental findings,we analyzed the need to consider the relevance of the route and the different time-point administration aspects for a more rational indication of this vitamin to multiple sclerosis patients.

Flight simulators can provide a suitable alternative to real flight, mainly to increase safety through the training of crew, and evaluation data from simulator can be used to validation and certification of aircraft systems. However, it must convey some degree of realism to the user to be effective. For that reason, it is necessary to calibrate the simulator software. Calibration for flight simulation is parameter identification process. The process is formulated as an optimization problem, and it is solved by using a new approach named Multiple Particle Collision Algorithm （MPCA）. Results show a good performance for the employed approach.

ANN （artificial neural network） is a technique successfully employed in many applications on several research fields. An appropriate configuration for neural networks is a tedious task, and it often requires the knowledge of an expert on the application. In this paper, a technique for automatic configuration for two types of neural networks is presented. The multilayer perceptron and recurrent Elman are the neural networks used here. The determination of optimal parameters for the neural network is formulated as an optimization problem, solved with the use of meta-heuristic MPCA （multiple particle collision algorithm）. The self-configuring networks are applied to perform data assimilation.

Radiotherapy as monotherapy or in combination with chemotherapy, has contributed to the drop in mortality rates related to neoplasms in the last 60 years. However, irradiation may promote heart damage and involvement is very common. As a result, VHD （valvular heart disease） is one of the earliest cardiovascular events post-radiotherapy. What it concerns to valve disease induced by chemotherapeutics, there are still only few studies. However, patients treated with chemotherapy in combination with radiotherapy had twice the risk of developing the disease when compared to those treated by radiotherapy alone. The heart injury caused by radiotherapy begins with damage to the endothelium and results in fibrosis and diffuses calcification primarily of the mitral and aortic valves. The echocardiography is the tool of choice to the patient’s assessment and follow-up after exposure. Prevention is the best option to face the valve damage induced by radiation.

Cone beam computed tomography(CBCT) has often been used to determine the quality of craniofacial bone structures through the determination of mineral density, which is based on gray scales of the images obtained. However, there is no consensus regarding the accuracy of the determination of the gray scales in these exams. This study aims to provide a literature review concerning the reliability of CBCT to determine bone mineral density. The gray values obtained with CBCT show a linear relationship with the attenuation coefficients of the materials, Hounsfield Units values obtained with medical computed tomography, and density values from dual energy X-ray absorciometry. However, errors are expected when CBCT images are used to define the quality of the scanned structures be-cause these images show inconsistencies and arbitrari-ness in the gray values, particularly when related to abrupt change in the density of the object, X-ray beam hardening effect, scattered radiation, projection data discontinuity-related effect, differences between CBCTdevices, changes in the volume of the field of view(FOV), and changes in the relationships of size and position between the FOV and the object evaluated. A few methods of mathematical correction of the gray scales in CBCT have been proposed; however, they do not generate consistent values that are independent of the devices and their configurations or of the scanned objects. Thus, CBCT should not be considered the ex-amination of choice for the determination of bone and soft tissue mineral density at the current stage, par-ticularly when values obtained are to be compared to predetermined standard values. Comparisons between symmetrically positioned structures inside the FOV and in relation to the exomass of the object, as it occurs with the right and left sides of the skull, seem to be viable because the effects on the gray scale in the re-gions of interest are the same.

AIM:To investigate the contribution of bone marrow(BM) cells to hepatic ***:To establish a model of chimerism,C57Bl/6 female mice were subjected to full-body irradiation(7 Gy) resulting in BM *** mononuclear cells obtained from male transgenic mice expressing enhanced green fluorescent protein(GFP) were used for *** was confirmed by flow *** induce liver injury,chimeric animals received carbon tetrachloride(CCl4) 0.5 mL/kg intraperitoneally twice a week for 30 d(CCl4 30 d) and age-matched controls received saline(Saline 30 d).At the end of this period,animals were sacrificed for post mortem *** samples were stained with hematoxylin and eosin to observe liver architectural changes and with Sirius red for collagen quantification by morphometric analysis.α-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA) was analyzed by confocal microscopy to identify GFP+ cells with myofibroblast(MF) *** tissue,BM and peripheral blood were collected and prepared for flow cytometric analysis using specific markers for detection of hepatic stellate cells(HSCs) and precursors from the ***:Injury to the liver induced changes in the hepatic parenchymal architecture,as reflected by the presence of inflammatory infiltrate and an increase in collagen deposition(Saline 30 d = 11.10% ± 1.12% vs CCl4 30 d = 12.60% ± 0.73%,P = 0.0329).Confocal microscopy revealed increased reactivity against α-SMA in CCl4 30 d compared to Saline 30 d,but there was no co-localization with GFP+ cells,suggesting that cells from BM do not differentiate to *** flow cytometric analysis showed a significant increase of CD45+/GFP+ cells in liver tissue(Saline 30 d = 3.2% ± 2.2% vs CCl4 30 d = 5.8% ± 1.3%,P = 0.0458),suggesting that this increase was due to inflammatory cell infiltration(neutrophils and monocytes).There was also a significant increase of common myeloid progenitor cells(CD117+/CD45+) in the livers of CCl4-treated animals(Saline 3
