BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is an aggressive subtype of liver cancer and is one of the most common cancers with high mortality *** lipid metabolism plays crucial roles in HCC cancer cell survival,growth,and *** evidence suggests the importance of fatty acid binding proteins(FABPs)in contribution to cancer progression and metastasis;however,how these FABPs are dysregulated in cancer cells,especially in HCC,and the roles of FABPs in cancer progression have not been well *** To understand the genetic alterations and expression of FABPs and their associated cancer hallmarks and oncogenes in contributing to cancer *** We used The Cancer Genome Atlas datasets of pan cancer and liver hepatocellular carcinoma(LIHC)as well as patient cohorts with other cancer types in this *** investigated genetic alterations of FABPs in various cancer *** expression was used to determine if FABPs are abnormally expressed in tumor tissues compared to non-tumor controls and to investigate whether their expression correlates with patient clinical outcome,enriched cancer hallmarks and oncogenes previously reported for patients with *** determined the protein levels of FABP5 and its correlated genes in two HCC cell lines and assessed the potential of FABP5 inhibition in treating HCC *** We discovered that a gene cluster including five FABP family members(FABP4,FABP5,FABP8,FABP9 and FABP12)is frequently co-amplified in ***,in fact,is the most common genetic alteration for FABPs,leading to overexpression of ***5 showed the greatest differential mRNA expression comparing tumor with non-tumor *** FABP5 expression correlates well with worse patient outcomes(P<0.05).FABP5 expression highly correlates with enrichment of G2M checkpoint(r=0.33,P=1.1e-10),TP53 signaling pathway(r=0.22,P=1.7e-5)and many genes in the gene sets such as CDK1(r=0.56,P=0),CDK4(r=0.49,P=0),and TP53(r=0

Improving the combustion efficiency of fuels is essential to reducing pollutant emissions in the iron ore sintering *** sintering bed surface steam-injection technology has attracted significant research interest for its potential advantages in low-energy consumption and low *** effect of steam injection on fuel combustion efficiency and CO emission was studied by comparing the thermodynamic response from the sintering process before and after steam *** mechanism of improving combustion efficiency was also *** results indicated that the sintering gas medium of H_(2)O-H_(2)-N_(2)-O_(2) with the blown steam improved the heat transfer conditions of fuel combustion and promoted the water gas *** optimum state of steam injection was achieved at 15 min after ignition with 0.02 m^(3) min^(-1).The CO emission reduction is 10.91% compared with the base *** combustion efficiency was 88.83%,6.15% higher than conventional sintering,and the solid fuel consumption was reduced by 1.15 kg t^(-1).It was indicated that steam injection would improve combustion efficiency and reduce solid fuel ***,the steam injection could improve the combustion kinetic conditions in the zone of unburned fuel and low oxygen partial *** was conducive to the reaction of H_(2)O with C and CO to convert the CO of reducing atmosphere to CO_(2),which in turn realized the complete combustion of fuel and CO and improved the efficiency of fuel combustion.

Hydrazine-assisted water electrolysis is a promising energy conversion technology for highly efficient hydrogen *** design of bifunctional electrocatalysts,which can simultaneously accelerate hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)/hydrazine oxidation reaction(HzOR)kinetics,is the key ***,we demonstrate the development of ultrathin P/Fe co-doped NiSe_(2) nanosheets supported on modified Ni foam(P/Fe-NiSe_(2)) synthesized through a facile electrodeposition process and subsequent heat *** on electrochemical measurements,characterizations,and density functional theory calculations,a favorable“2+2”reaction mechanism with a two-step HER process and a two-step HzOR step was fully proved and the specific effect of P doping on HzOR kinetics was investigated.P/Fe-NiSe_(2) thus yields an impressive electrocatalytic performance,delivering a high current density of 100 mA cm^(−2) with potentials of−168 and 200 mV for HER and HzOR,***,P/Fe-NiSe_(2) can work efficiently for hydrazine-assisted water electrolysis and Zn-Hydrazine(Zn-Hz)battery,making it promising for practical application.

The two-stage electrostatic precipitator is widely used to purify oil mist ***,there is limited research on the influences of relative humidity,particle deposition characteristics,and the generation of gaseous ***,this paper established a numerical model of the electrostatic oil mist purifier and applied it to a two-stage electrostatic *** the model was used to investigate the corona discharge characteristics under different relative humidity conditions in the charged zone,the particle deposition characteristics,the purification efficiency,the ozone concentration distribution,and the oil vapor concentration distribution in the collection *** results indicate that,with a constant temperature,the corona current decreases as relative humidity increase,and there is a quadratic relationship between relative humidity and *** variation in relative humidity has little impact on the purification *** maximum ozone concentration occurs near the electrode line,and its concentration is influenced by the discharge current and inlet airflow *** oil vapor concentration reaches its maximum value at the side plates,with a value of 19 ppb,while it reaches the minimum value at the collecting zone electrode plate,with a value of 2 *** temperature is the main factor affecting the volatilization of the oil film,with higher temperatures resulting in higher oil vapor.

Friction stir processing(FSP)was used to modify the microstructure and improve the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of an Mg-Al-Ca *** results demonstrated that,after FSP,the grain size of the Mg-Al-Ca alloy was decreased from 13.3 to 6.7μ***,the Al_(8)Mn_(5) phase was broken and dispersed,and its amount was *** yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the Mg-Al-Ca alloy were increased by 17.0%and 10.1%,respectively,due to the combination of fine grain,second phase,and orientation strengthening,while the elongation was slightly *** immersion and electrochemical corrosion rates in 3.5 wt%NaCl solution decreased by 18.4%and 37.5%,respectively,which contributed to grain ***,the stress corrosion cracking(SCC)resistance of the modified Mg-Al-Ca alloy decreased significantly,which was mainly due to the filiform corrosion induced by the Al_(8)Mn_(5) *** was mainly controlled by anodic dissolution,while the cathodic hydrogen evolution accelerated the SCC process.

Direct electrolysis of seawater to generate hydrogen is an attractive but challenging renewable energy storage *** design of seawater electrolysis catalysts should integrate high activity for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)/oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and enhanced physical/electrochemical stability in ***,we demonstrate the development of a Ni foam(NF)supported interfacial heterogeneous nickel phosphide/sulfide(Ni_(2)P/NiS_(2))microsphere electrocatalyst(NiPS/NF)through a facile electrodeposition and subsequent phosphorization/sulfuration *** NiS_(2)modification,a charge redistribution on the heterointerface is demonstrated and a more advantageous covalent nature of the Ni-P bond is obtained for more easily adsorption of H*and H_(2)*** NiPS/NF thus yields an impressive electrocatalytic performance in 1.0 M KOH,requiring small overpotentials of 169 and 320 mV for HER and OER to obtain a high current density of 100 m A cm^(-2),*** NiPS/NF can also work efficiently in alkaline seawater with negligible activity degradation,requiring overpotentials of only 188 and 344 mV for a current density of 100 m A cm^(-2)for HER and OER,respectively.A synergistically enhanced physical/electrochemical long-term stability NiPS/NF in saline water is also demonstrated.

Axial and torsional impact drilling technology is used to improve the drilling efficiency of hard rock formation in the deep ***,the corresponding theory is not mature,and there are few correlative research reports on the rock-breaking mechanism of axial and torsional coupled impact drilling *** the influence of the impact hammer geometry and movement on the dynamic load parameters(i.e.,wavelength,amplitude,frequency,and phase difference),a numerical model that includes a hard formation and single polycrystalline diamond compact cutter was *** Riedel-Hiermaier-Thoma model,which considers the dynamic damage and strength behavior of rocks,was adopted to analyze the rock damage under axial and torsional impact *** numerical simu-lation results were verified by the experimental *** was found that compared with conventional drilling,the penetration depths of axial,torsional,and axial-torsional coupled impact drilling increased by 31.3%,5.6%,and 34.7%,*** the wavelength and amplitude of the axial impact stress wave improved the penetration *** the bit rotation speed remained unchanged,increasing the frequency in the axial and circumferential directions had little effect on the penetration ***,as the frequency increased,the cutting surface became increasingly smooth,which reduced the occurrence of bit *** the phase difference between the axial and circumfer-ential stress waves was 25%,the penetration depth significantly *** addition,the bit vibration problem can be effectively ***,the adjustment of engineering and tool structure parameters is proposed to optimize the efficiency of the axial-torsional coupled impact drilling tool.

BACKGROUND Hoffa’s fracture is a coronal-oriented fracture of the femoral *** is rarely observed in pediatric patients that isolated coronal fracture of the medial femoral condyle accompanies an intact lateral femoral *** a few cases involving Hoffa’s fracture of the medial femoral condyle have been reported in patients with undeveloped *** a fracture cannot be observed by routine imaging examinations,thus resulting in possible misdiagnosis and further treatment *** SUMMARY A 5-year-old boy with Hoffa’s fracture of the medial femoral condyle suffered from right knee pain and severe swelling after being hit by a heavy *** patient was misdiagnosed and initially treated in a local primary healthcare *** improvement in his right knee’s extension was observed following conservative treatment for 2 *** patient was transferred to our hospital,rediagnosed using arthroscopy,and underwent open reduction and internal *** therapeutic outcome was satisfactory with the screws removed 7 mo after *** the final follow-up of 40 mo,the range of motion in the knee had *** was no varus-valgus *** Hoffa’s fracture is rarely seen in children aged 5 years,let alone in the medial condyle,and can easily be misdiagnosed due to limited physical and imaging *** Hoffa’s fracture in preschool children should be confirmed based on arthroscopic *** reduction and internal fixation should be performed to protect the articular surface and prevent long-term complications.
