this study demonstrates the influence of the Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio in precursor solution on the crystal structural formation,morphology,physical properties,and photocatalytic performance of a Ag_(3)PO_(4)photocatalyst that is fabricated,using a facile precipitation method,from AgNO_(3)and Na2HPO_(4)·12H_(2)*** material characterizations were carried out using x-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy(EDX),Brunauer–Emmett–teller(BEt)surface area,Fourier transform infrared(FtIR)absorption,Raman scattering,x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),UV-vis absorption,and photoluminescence(Pl).the results show that Ag_(3)PO_(4)crystallizes better when the excess PO_(4)^(3-)content increases,and the lattice parameters decrease slightly,while the crystal diameter and the particle size *** change is also observed in the Raman scattering and FtIR spectra with the increase in the vibration frequency of the[PO_(4)]*** compression of the[PO_(4)]unit was also confirmed in the XPS spectra with the shift of P 2p peaks toward higher binding *** photocatalytic results showed that the samples synthesized from excess PO_(4)^(3-)solution exhibited higher photocatalytic performance compared to the sample with a Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio of 3:1.A sample prepared from the precursor solution with a Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio of 3:1.5 was optimal for RhB decomposition under both visible light and natural sunlight,completely decomposing 10 ppm RhB after 15 minutes of xenon lamp irradiation and after 60 minutes under solar light *** is attributed to the high crystallinity,small particle size and low electron–hole recombination rate of the sample.

thermal currents obtained and mutually switched by a modified Haldane model in graphene

By using the transfer matrix method,we discover three types of current,such as the 100%spinvalley polarized current,pure spin-valley current and pure charge current,in a two-terminal graphene *** types of current can be obtained and mutually switched by modulating the parameters of the modified Haldane model(MHM).In our work,these types of current are driven by the thermal *** with this method of increasing the one-lead temperature(with a fixed temperature difference),the thermal currents can be more effectively strengthened by increasing the temperature difference(with a fixed one-lead temperature).In order to rapidly turn off these currents,we choose to enhance the intensity of the off-resonant circularly polarized light instead of canceling the temperature *** results indicate that the graphene system with the MHM has promising applications in the spin and valley caloritronics.

Floquet bands and photon-induced topological edge states of graphene nanoribbons

Floquet theorem is widely used in the light-driven systems. But many 2 D-materials models under the radiation are investigated with the high-frequency approximation, which may not be suitable for the practical experiment. In this work,we employ the non-perturbative Floquet method to strictly investigate the photo-induced topological phase transitions and edge states properties of graphene nanoribbons under the light irradiation of different frequencies(including both low and high frequencies). By analyzing the Floquet energy bands of ribbon and bulk graphene, we find the cause of the phase transitions and its relation with edge states. Besides, we also find the size effect of the graphene nanoribbon on the band gap and edge states in the presence of the light.

In this paper,we propose a combined form of the bilinear Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation and the bilinear extended(2+1)-dimensional shallow water wave equation,which is linked with a novel(2+1)-dimensional nonlinear *** model might be applied to describe the evolution of nonlinear waves in the *** the effect of a novel combination of nonlinearity and dispersion terms,two cases of lump solutions to the(2+1)-dimensional nonlinear model are derived by searching for the quadratic function solutions to the bilinear ***,the one-lump-multi-stripe solutions are constructed by the test function combining quadratic functions and multiple exponential *** one-lump-multi-soliton solutions are derived by the test function combining quadratic functions and multiple hyperbolic cosine *** behaviors of the lump solutions and mixed solutions are analyzed via numerical *** result is of importance to provide efficient expressions to model nonlinear waves and explain some interaction mechanism of nonlinear waves in physics.

Comparison of continuous homogenous azeotropic and pressure-swing distillation for a minimum azeotropic system ethyl acetate/nhexane separation

Continuous homogenous azeotropic distillation(CHAD) and pressure-swing distillation(PSD) are explored to separate a minimum-boiling azeotropic system of ethyl acetate and n-hexane. the CHAD process with acetone as the entrainer and the PSD process with the pressures of 0.1 MPa and 0.6 MPa in two columns are designed and simulated by Aspen Plus. the operating conditions of the two processes are optimized via a sequential modular approach to obtain the minimum total annual cost(tAC). the computational results show that the partially heat integrated pressure-swing distillation(HIPSD) has reduced in the energy cost and tAC by 40.79% and 35.94%, respectively, than the conventional PSD, and has more greatly reduced the energy cost and tAC by 62.61% and 49.26% respectively compared with the CHAD process. the comparison of CHAD process and partially HIPSD process illustrates that the partially HIPSD has more advantages in averting the product pollution, energy saving, and economy.

Boosting bidirectional sulfur conversion enabled by introducing boron-doped atoms and phosphorus vacancies in Ni2P for lithium-sulfur batteries

lithium-sulfur （li-S） batteries have gained great attention due to the high theoretical energy density and low cost,yet their further commercialization has been obstructed by the notorious shuttle effect and sluggish redox ***,we supply a strategy to optimize the electron structure of Ni2P by concurrently introducing B-doped atoms and P vacancies in Ni2P （Vp-B-Ni2P）,thereby enhancing the bidirectional sulfur *** study indicates that the simultaneous introduction of B-doped atoms and P vacancies in Ni2P causes the redistribution of electron around Ni atoms,bringing about the upward shift of d-band center of Ni atoms and effective d-p orbital hybridization between Ni atoms and sulfur species,thus strengthening the chemical anchoring for lithium polysulfides （liPSs） as well as expediting the bidirectional conversion kinetics of sulfur ***,theoretical calculations reveal that the incorporation of B-doped atoms and P vacancies in Ni2P selectively promotes li2S dissolution and nucleation ***,the li-S batteries with Vp-B-Ni2P-separators present outstanding rate ability of 777 m A h g-1at 5 C and high areal capacity of 8.03 mA h cm-2under E/S of 5μl mg-1and sulfur loading of 7.20 mg *** work elucidates that introducing heteroatom and vacancy in metal phosphide collaboratively regulates the electron structure to accelerate bidirectional sulfur conversion.

We focus on the localized characteristics of lump and interaction solutions to two extended Jimbo–Miwa *** on the Hirota bilinear method and the test function method,we construct the exact solutions to the extended equations including lump solutions,lump–kink solutions,and two other types of interaction solutions,by solving the underdetermined nonlinear system of algebraic equations for associated ***,analysis and graphical simulation are presented to show the dynamical characteristics of our solutions and the interaction behaviors are revealed.

It is well-known that the heat equation yt - △y = uxE in （0, t） × Ω with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions is null controllable for any t 〉 0 and any open nonempty subset E of Ω. In this note, the author studies the case that E is an arbitrary measurable set with positive measure.

Biodiversity and distribution of benthic dinoflagellates in tropical Zhongsha Islands,South China Sea

Benthic dinoflagellates have attracted increasing attention in recent years because of their toxicity and ability to form extensive harmful algal *** producing palytoxin and its analogs,Gambierdiscus producing ciguatera toxins,and Prorocentrum producing okadaic acid and dinophysis toxins,have been concerned as serious human *** explored the benthic dinoflagellate biodiversity and distribution characteristics of a series of tropical reefs in 20-40-m water depth in wet season in the Zhongsha Islands in South China Sea using morphological,phylogenetic,and cell counting *** show that benthic dinoflagellates in the islands are rich in biodiversity and 15 species from genera Amphidinium,Coolia,Ostreopsis,and Prorocentrum were identifi ed:Amphidinium carterae,***,***,***,Coolia canariensis,***,***,***,Ostreopsis ***,Prorocentrum concavum,***,***,*** fmannianum,***,and *** them,*** is reported for the first time in Chinese *** abundance of benthic dinoflagellates was relatively low at 88-4345 cells/100 cm^(2) on sediment and 10-91 cells/g on *** and Amphidinium were the dominant and subdominant genera,*** is speculated that the low abundance of benthic dinoflagellates is closely related to the scarcity of macroalgae and stronger water motion at the depth>15 m in Zhongsha *** study expanded the study in biodiversity of benthic dinoflagellates in Chinese waters,and revealed the distribution characteristics of harmful benthic microalgae in reef habitats.
