In general, digital images can be classified into photographs, textual and mixed documents. This taxonomy is very useful in many applications, such as archiving task. However, there are no effective methods to perform this classification automatically. In this paper, we present a method for classifying and archiving document into the following semantic classes: photographs, textual and mixed documents. Our method is based on combining low-level image features, such as mean, Standard deviation, Skewness. Both the Decision Tree and Neuronal Network Classifiers are used for classification task.

Dye effluents with low BOD/COD ratio and varied chemical structures are usually very recalcitrant to microbial degradation. Therefore, different process was used for the treatment of dye effluent. Heterogeneous photocatalyst process has been widely used as leading green technology for dye removal. The process utilizes a semiconductor photocatalyst (such as TiO2 or ZnO) and UV light to oxidize the recalcitrant organic compounds to inorganic ions, carbon dioxide and water. Photocatalytic process needs to photorectors and hydraulic parameters play an important role in mass transfer phenomenon in photocatalytic reactors. These fundamental parameters are flow rate, relative roughness and Reynolds number. This research experimentally evaluates flow rate and artificial relative roughness in order to determine the factors influencing the removal efficiency and reaction rate. For this purpose, a cascade photocatalytic reactor is constructed which consists of similar Plexiglas plates coated by various roughness. Numerical simulation usually overcomes complex reactor models which takes reasonable cost respect to experimental study. Here, OpenFOAM software is also utilized to perform a numerical study. Regime and velocity of sewage are simulated in photocatalytic flow with/without considering relative roughness.

The extraction of a desired speech signal from a noisy environment has become a challenging issue. In the recent years, the scientific community has particularly focused on multichannel techniques which are dealt with in this review. In fact, this study tries to classify these multichannel techniques into three main ones: Beamforming, Independent Component Analysis (ICA) and Time Frequency (T-F) masking. This paper also highlights their advantages and drawbacks. However these previously mentioned techniques could not afford satisfactory results. This fact leads to the idea that a combination of those techniques, which is depicted along this study, may probably provide more efficient results. Indeed, giving the fact that those approaches are still be considered as being not totally efficient, has led us to review these mentioned above in the hope that further researches will provide this domain with suitable innovations.

Estimation of conservation value of myrtle(Myrtus communis)using a contingent valuation method:a case study in a Dooreh forest area,Lorestan Province,Iran

Background： Around 2000 plant species occur naturally in Lorestan Province of which 250 species are medicinal and myrtle is one of them. Myrtle is a shrub whose leaves and fruits have medicinal value and thus, if managed and harvested properly, could produce sustained economic benefits. In recent years, however, over half of the myrtle site areas was destroyed, due to inappropriate management and excessive harvesting practices. Thus, coming up with a practical harvesting approach along with identifying those factors damaging the sites, seems to be very crucial. Methods： In our investigation, we calculated the conservation value per hectare of myrtle in the Dooreh forest area in Lorestan Province. Using the Contingent Valuation （CV） and Double Bounded Dichotomous Choice （DBDC） methods, we determined the willingness to pay （VVTP） for myrtle conservation. The VVTP was estimated with a Iogit model for which indices were obtained based on a maximum precision criterion. Results： The results showed that 86.67 per cent of people were willing to pay for the conservation of these myrtle sites. Average monthly WTP per family was calculated as $0.79. The annual conservation value in terms of WTP for the preservation of the myrtle sites in Dooreh was estimated as $102,525. Among the variables of the model presented, education had a positive impact, while the amount proposed for payment and family size had a negative impact on the WTP. Conclusions： Our estimate of the value of myrtle conservation should provide justification for policy makers and decision making bodies of natural resources to implement policies in order to conserve the natural sites of this species more effectively.

The syntheses of three mixed ligand chelate copper（II） complexes of the type [Cu（L）（acac）（H2O）]BPh4 where acac=acetyleacetonate; L=N,N-dimethyl,N′-benzylethane-1,2-diamine （L1）, N,N-dimethyl, N′-2-methylbenzylethane-1,2-diamine （L2） or N,N-dimethyl,N′-2-chlorobenzylethane-1,2-diamine （L3） are reported and characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic and molar conductance measurements. The X-ray structure of complex 1 shows that the central copper atom is placed in a distorted square pyramidal geometry made by acac and diamine chelate in the base and a H2O molecule on the apex. The prepared complexes are fairly soluble in a large number of organic solvents and show positive solvatochromism. Calculations of SMLR （stepwise multiple linear regression） method was utilized to find the best model explaining the observed solvatochromic behavior and showed that among different solvent parameters, donor number （DN） is a dominant factor responsible for the shift in the d-d absorption band of the complexes to the lower wavenumber with increasing its values. The importance of substituent effect in diamine ligand on the spectral and SMLR measurements is also discussed.

In this study,the heat transfer optimization(evaporation)and the specification of the FX-70 zeotropic refrigerant flow inside a corrugated pipe have been *** the low HTC(HTC),this type of refrigerant is highly applicable in low or medium temperature engineering systems during the evaporation *** eliminate this defect,high turbulence and proper mixing are ***,using heat transfer(HT)augmentation methods will be necessary and *** order to find the most favorable operating conditions that lead to the optimum combination of pressure drop(PD)and HTC,empirical data,neural networks,and genetic algorithms(GA)for multi-objective(MO)(NSGA II)are *** investigate the mentioned cases,the geometric parameters of corrugated pipes,vapor quality,and mass velocity of refrigerant were *** results showed that with vapor quality higher than 0.8 and corrugation depth and pitch of 1.5 and 7 mm,respectively,we would achieve the desired optimum design.

Seroimmunity to Tetanus and Diphtheria among Immunocompetent Adult Patients Admitted to a Tertiary Hospital for Any Reason

Ignoring the importance of receiving booster doses of vaccines in vast majority of adults could result in their lack of immunity against tetanus and diphtheria. In this prospective cohort study all immunocompetent adults ≥ 40 years old who were admitted for any reason during the time period of the survey were enrolled and antibody levels against tetanus and diphtheria were measured. 84 patients (48%) were 40 - 60 years old and 93 (52%) subjects aged older than 60 years. In general, anti-tetanus antibody titer was <0.1 IU/mL (non-immune range) in 83 people (46.9%). For anti-diphtheria antibody, 74 (41.8%) were considered non-immune. Of all people whose tetanus antibody level was <0.1, 19 had a complete history of childhood diphtheria and tetanus immunization and 64 had unknown vaccination history. Among people with diphtheria antibody levels < 0.1, 18 (24.3%) had complete history of childhood vaccination and 56 (75.6%) had unknown history.
