BACKGROUND Despite continuous changes in treatment methods,the survival rate for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patients remains low,highlighting the importance of diagnostic methods for *** To explore the efficacy of texture analysis based on multi-parametric magnetic resonance(MR)imaging(MRI)in predicting microvascular invasion(MVI)in preoperative *** This study included 105 patients with pathologically confirmed HCC,categorized into MVI-positive and MVI-negative *** employed Original Data Analysis,Principal Component Analysis,Linear Discriminant Analysis(LDA),and Non-LDA(NDA)for texture analysis using multi-parametric MR images to predict preoperative *** effectiveness of texture analysis was determined using the B11 program of the MaZda4.6 software,with results expressed as the misjudgment rate(MCR).RESULTS Texture analysis using multi-parametric MRI,particularly the MI+PA+F dimensionality reduction method combined with NDA discrimination,demonstrated the most effective prediction of MVI in *** accuracy in the pulse and equilibrium phases was 83.81%.MCRs for the combination of T2-weighted imaging(T2WI),arterial phase,portal venous phase,and equilibrium phase were 22.86%,16.19%,20.95%,and 20.95%,*** area under the curve for predicting MVI positivity was 0.844,with a sensitivity of 77.19%and specificity of 91.67%.CONCLUSION Texture analysis of arterial phase images demonstrated superior predictive efficacy for MVI in HCC compared to T2WI,portal venous,and equilibrium *** study provides an objective,non-invasive method for preoperative prediction of MVI,offering a theoretical foundation for the selection of clinical therapy.

Background Schistosoma japonicum is a parasitic flatworm that causes human schistosomiasis, which is a significant cause of morbidity in China, the Philippines and *** hupensis (Gastropoda: Pomatiopsidae) is the unique intermediate host ofS. japonicum. A complete genome sequence ofO. hupensis will enable the fundamental understanding of snail biology as well as its co-evolution with theS. japonicum parasite. Assembling a high-quality reference genome ofO. hupehensis will provide data for further research on the snail biology and controlling the spread ofS. *** The draft genome was de novo assembly using the long-read sequencing technology (PacBio Sequel II) and corrected with Illumina sequencing data. Then, using Hi-C sequencing data, the genome was assembled at the chromosomal level. CAFE was used to do analysis of contraction and expansion of the gene family and CodeML module in PAML was used for positive selection analysis in protein coding *** A total length of 1.46 Gb high-qualityO. hupensis genome with 17 unique full-length chromosomes (2n = 34) of the individual including a contig N50 of 1.35 Mb and a scaffold N50 of 75.08 Mb. Additionally, 95.03% of these contig sequences were anchored in 17 chromosomes. After scanning the assembled genome, a total of 30,604 protein-coding genes were predicted. Among them, 86.67% were functionally annotated. Further phylogenetic analysis revealed thatO. hupensis was separated from a common ancestor ofPomacea canaliculata andBellamya purificata approximately 170 million years ago. Comparing the genome ofO. hupensis with its most recent common ancestor, it showed 266 significantly expanded and 58 significantly contracted gene families (P < 0.05). Consensus on glycemic management for patients with coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes

The prevalence of patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)and diabetes mellitus is notably high,posing sig-nificant residual cardiovascular risks even after routine interventions such as antihypertensive,lipid-lowering,and antithrombot-ic *** studies have demonstrated that certain glucose-lowering medications confer cardiovascular benefits for pa-tients with type 2 ***,a survey indicates that cardiologists may not be fully acquainted with the optimal screen-ing timing,indicators,and diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes,and there is insufficient awareness and a low rate of prescrip-tion of novel glucose-lowering medications with proven cardiovascular efficacy,such as glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agon-ists(GLP-1 RAs)and sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitors(SGLT-2i).In this context,based on domestic and international guidelines or consensus and the latest evidence-based evidence,this consensus aims to standardize the glycemic management for patients with acute coronary syndrome,chronic coronary syndrome,and perioperative management for percutaneous coronary *** highlights the key points of screening and diagnosis of type 2 diabetes,and the comprehensive management of cardiovascular risk in patients with *** consensus elaborates on the principles and algorithms of glycemic management for CHD patients,without involving acute complications of diabetes,clarifies the clinical practice of glucose-lowering medications with cardiovascular benefits,and promotes the standardized use of these medications in cardiovascular and other related spe-cialty ***,it addresses the glucose-lowering treatment to comprehensively reduce cardiovascular risks.

Cooperation and networking are powerful tools in the combating against tropical diseases. Cooperation on a global scale is essential due to the transboundary nature of tropical diseases. Networking plays a pivotal role in facilitating such cooperation. Both cooperation and networking can foster innovation in disease control programmes. Collaborative research can lead to the development of new drugs and vaccines, while shared surveillance data can enable the early detection and control of disease epidemics. Therefore, consensus of cooperation and networking has been reached during the 7th Symposium on Surveillance-Response Systems Leading to Tropical Diseases Elimination, which reflected in the two documents, i.e.,Consensus for Transboundary Tropical Diseases Control, andAction Consensus of the Network of WHO Collaborating Centres Related to NTDs. These documents will improve the efforts in the fighting against tropical diseases through collective actions to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Eight zwitterionic rare earth metal complexes stabilized by amino-bridged tris(phenolato)ligands bearing quaternary ammonium side-arms were synthesized and *** complexes were used as single-component catalysts for the cycloaddition of CO_(2)and epoxides,and their catalytic activities are obviously higher than those of their binary *** studies revealed that the halide anions(Cl^(–),Br^(–),I^(–))and the metal complexes influenced the catalytic activity,and the lanthanum complex bearing iodide anion showed the highest catalytic activity for this addition reaction.A variety of mono-substituted epoxides were converted to cyclic carbonates in good to excellent yields(55%—99%)with high selectivity(>99%)at 30℃and 1 bar CO_(2),whereas internal epoxides required higher both reaction temperatures(60—120℃)and catalyst loading(2 mol%)for high *** catalyst was recyclable for four times without noticeable loss of catalytic *** on the results of kinetic studies and in℃situ IR reactions,a plausible reaction mechanism was proposed.

Comparative transcriptomic analysis reveals the molecular changes of acute pancreatitis in experimental models
