Vertical gradients of neutral winds observed by ICON and estimated by the Horizontal Wind Model during the geomagnetic storm on August 26−28,2021

The Michelson Interferometer for Global High-resolution Thermospheric Imaging(MIGHTI)onboard the Ionospheric Connection Explorer(ICON)satellite offers the opportunity to investigate the altitude profile of thermospheric *** this study,we used the red-line measurements of MIGHTI to compare with the results estimated by Horizontal Wind Model 14(HWM14).The data selected included both the geomagnetic quiet period(December 2019 to August 2022)and the geomagnetic storm on August 26-28,*** the geomagnetic quiet period,the estimations of neutral winds from HWM14 showed relatively good agreement with the observations from *** to the ICON observations,near the equator,zonal winds reverse from westward to eastward at around 06:00 local time(LT)at higher altitudes,and the stronger westward winds appear at later LTs at lower *** around 16:00 LT,eastward winds at 300 km reverse to westward,and vertical gradients of zonal winds similar to those at sunrise hours can be *** the middle latitudes,zonal winds reverse about 2-4 h *** winds vary more significantly than zonal winds with seasonal and latitudinal *** to the ICON observations,in the northern low latitudes,vertical reversals of meridional winds are found at 08:00-13:00 LT from 300 to 160 km and at around 18:00 LT from 300 to 200 km during the June *** reversals of meridional winds are found at 04:00-07:00 LT from 300 to 160 km and at 22:00-02:00 LT from 270 to 200 km during the December *** the southern low latitudes,meridional wind reversals occur at 08:00-11:00 LT from 200 to 160 km and at 21:00-02:00 LT from 300 to 200 km during the June *** the December solstice,reversals of the meridional wind appear at 20:00-01:00 LT below 200 km and at 06:00-11:00 LT from 300 to 160 *** the northern middle latitudes,the northward winds are dominant at 08:00-14:00 LT at 230 km during the June *** winds persist until

Background:The type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)pharmacodynamic study of various parts of Schisandra sphenanthera was conducted in the previous stage,and it was found that dichloromethane extracted part(SDP)had a significant hypoglycemic ***,the components of SDP were analyzed,and the specific mechanism of its anti-T2DM was ***:We used a high-fat,high-sugar diet in combination with streptozotocin to induce a T2DM rat model,and the model rats were divided into two groups according to body weight and blood ***,oral glucose tolerance test,fasting blood glucose,low density lipoprotein cholesterol,superoxide dismutase,insulin,glycated hemoglobin,total cholesterol,nonesterified free fatty acids,alanine aminotransferase,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,aspartate aminotransferase,malondialdehyde,and glutathione peroxidase were measured,organ indices were calculated,and pathological sections of pancreas and liver were *** 16S rRNA V3–V4 region of intestinal flora was sequenced to explore the effect of SDP on biochemical indicators and intestinal *** on the above indicators,the anti-T2DM mechanism of SDP in Schisandra sphenanthera was ***:After six weeks of administration,the biochemical indices of diabetic rats were diminished compared to the control *** SDP could significantly increase the gut microbialα-diversity index,resulting in significant changes in the flora of T2DM rats,with increased richness and diversity,reduced harmful flora,and significantly back-regulated the levels of acetic acid,propionic acid,and butyric ***:SDP can improve the symptoms associated with elevated blood glucose,dyslipidemia,elevated fasting insulin levels,and damaged glucose tolerance in *** against T2DM may be through the control of intestinal flora to normalize and exert anti-diabetic effect;its main active components may be lignans and terpenoids.

On-orbit attitude planning for Earth observation imaging with star-based geometric calibration

To improve the quality of remote sensing images, a novel on-orbit attitude planning method for Earth observation imaging with star-based geometric calibration is presented in this study. Unlike traditional imaging processes, the proposed method includes both pre-calibration and post-calibration stages to enhance the accuracy of satellite geometric positioning. A multiple-constraint attitude planning algorithm was developed to ensure star-based calibration, wherein the satellite camera and star sensors simultaneously capture the images of stars. This integration of cameras and multiple star sensors enables effective attitude determination. During the Earth imaging stage, a fast on-orbit attitude planning algorithm was developed to determine the satellite attitude and the optimal imaging times for ground targets. Compared with existing methods, the fast on-orbit attitude planning algorithm can significantly reduce computational time and resource consumption via initial value selection and *** demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed attitude planning method, which was successfully applied to Wuhan 1satellite.

Aimed to evaluate the phylogenetic position of the recently described Protobothrops dabieshanensis huang et al. （2012）, phylogenic relationships of 12 species within Protobothrops based on four mtDNA gene fragments （12S RNA, 16S RNA, ND4 and Cyt b） were reconstructed in our study. The result indicates a clade composed ofP dabiesha- nensis, P. jerdonii and P xiangchengsis with strong support. The genetic distance among P dabieshanensis, P jerdonii and P xiangchengsis was much lower than other congeners. Based on the data from the phylogenetic analysis and pre- viously described morphological differences, we conclude that P dabieshanensis is a valid species with close affinities to P jerdonii and P xiangchengsis.

Old canalicular laceration repair:a retrospective study of the curative effects and prognostic factors

AIM： To investigate the epidemiology and surgical outcomes of old canalicular laceration and analyze the variables impacting on the prognosis of reparation. METHODS： A retrospective review of all old canalicular laceration repairs from Jan. 1, 2008 to Dec. 30, 2015 was performed. Analyzed data included demographics, mechanisms of injury, the time from injury to repair, causes for delayed repair, old associated injuries, the types of surgery, and the effects of repair using canaliculus anastomosis combined with bicanalicular stent intubation. RESULTS： Totally 148 patients with old canalicular laceration received surgical repair and were enrolled. The mean age at presentation was 32.52 years old （ranged from 3 to 63 years old）. The 110 patients （74.32%） were male and 127 patients （85.81%） were adults （__.18 years old）. The old upper, lower, and bicanalicular lacerations were found in 5 （3.38%）, 39 （26.35%）, and 104 patients （70.27%）, respectively. The mechanism of old injury was primarily due to motor vehicle accidents （n=53, 35.81%）. The mean time from injury to repair was 43.61mo （ranged from 1 to 360mo）. Associated old ocular and orbit injuries were found in 65 patients （43.92%）, and chronic dacryocystitis in 18 patients （12.16%）. The main cause of delayed repair was that doctors or patients didn＇t pay attention to the canalicular laceration because of the concurrent severe injuries （n=71, 47.97%）. Totally 136 patients （91.89%） with old canalicular laceration underwent canaliculus anastomosis combined with bicanalicular stent intubation. In all of them, 20 patients （13.51%） were combined with dacryocystorhinostomy. In these cases, 132 patients （97.06%） attained anatomic success, 121 patients （88.97%）reported no epiphora （functional success）, 11 patients （8.09%） reported significant epiphora anesis （functional improvement）, and 4 （2.94%） reported no significant anesis （functional failure）. Thruster direction controlling of assembled spacecraft based on gimbal suspension

The attitude control system design and its control effect are affected considerably by the mass-property parameters of the spacecraft. In the mission of on-orbit servicing, as fuel is expended, or the payloads are added or removed, the center of mass will be changed in certain axe; consequently, some thrusters＇ directions are deviated from the center of mass（CM） in certain plane. The CM of assembled spacecraft estimation and thruster direction control are studied. Firstly, the attitude dynamics of the assembled spacecraft is established based on the Newton-Euler method. Secondly, the estimation can be identified by the least recursive squares algorithm. Then, a scheme to control the thrusters＇ directions is proposed. By using the gimbal installed at the end of the boom, the angle of the thruster is controlled by driving the gimbal; therefore, thrusters can be directed to the CM again. Finally, numerical simulations are used to verify this scheme. Results of the numerical simulations clearly show that this control scheme is rational and feasible.

DEM Analysis of Single-Particle Crushing Considering the Inhomogeneity of Material Properties

Crushing characteristics of single particles are the basis of granular material simulation with discrete element method(DEM).To improve the universality and precision of crushable DEM model,inhomogeneous stiffness and strength properties are introduced into the bonded particle method,with which the Weibull distribution and size effect of particle strength can be reproduced without deleting elementary *** issues of particle strength and carrying capacity under complex contact conditions are investigated in this work by symmetric loading tests,asymmetric loading tests,and ball-ball loading *** of numerical experiments indicate that particle carrying capacity is significantly influenced by coordination numbers,the symmetry of contact points,as well as the relative size of its *** conditions also show impact on single-particle crushing categories and the origin position of inner particle *** existing stress indexes and assumptions of particle crushing criterion are proved to be inappropriate for general loading *** the inherent inhomogeneity and contact conditions of particles should be taken into consideration in the simulation of granular materials.

Meningeal lymphatic vessel crosstalk with central nervous system immune cells in aging and neurodegenerative diseases

Meningeal lymphatic vessels form a relationship between the nervous system and periphery, which is relevant in both health and disease. Meningeal lymphatic vessels not only play a key role in the drainage of brain metabolites but also contribute to antigen delivery and immune cell activation. The advent of novel genomic technologies has enabled rapid progress in the characterization of myeloid and lymphoid cells and their interactions with meningeal lymphatic vessels within the central nervous system. In this review, we provide an overview of the multifaceted roles of meningeal lymphatic vessels within the context of the central nervous system immune network, highlighting recent discoveries on the immunological niche provided by meningeal lymphatic vessels. Furthermore, we delve into the mechanisms of crosstalk between meningeal lymphatic vessels and immune cells in the central nervous system under both homeostatic conditions and neurodegenerative diseases, discussing how these interactions shape the pathological outcomes. Regulation of meningeal lymphatic vessel function and structure can influence lymphatic drainage, cerebrospinal fluid-borne immune modulators, and immune cell populations in aging and neurodegenerative disorders, thereby playing a key role in shaping meningeal and brain parenchyma immunity.

Synergistic promotion strategy of “dual-site” and “dual-path” to enhance the C–C coupling between CO2 and HCHO driven by photoelectrocatalysis
