The NOD-,LRR-,and pyrin domain-containing protein 3(NLRP3)inflammasome is a multiprotein complex involved in the release of mature interleukin-1βand triggering of pyroptosis,which is of paramount importance in a variety of physiological and pathological *** the past decade,considerable advances have been made in elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying the priming/licensing(Signal 1)and assembly(Signal 2)involved in NLRP3 inflammasome ***,a number of studies have indicated that the priming/licensing step is regulated by complicated mechanisms at both the transcriptional and posttranslational *** this review,we discuss the current understanding of the mechanistic details of NLRP3 inflammasome activation with a particular emphasis on protein-protein interactions,posttranslational modifications,and spatiotemporal regulation of the NLRP3 inflammasome *** also present a detailed summary of multiple positive and/or negative regulatory pathways providing upstream signals that culminate in NLRP3 inflammasome complex assembly.A better understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying NLRP3 inflammasome activation will provide opportunities for the development of methods for the prevention and treatment of NLRP3 inflammasome-related diseases.

Aging behavior of Mg-3.6Y-0.5Zr and ***-0.5Zr alloys was investigated by microhardness measurement and transmission electron *** the case of Mg-Y-Zr alloy,the presence ofβ″phase,a major strength- ener,having base centered orthorhombic structure with its lattice constants of a-（β″）=0.64 nm,b-（β″）=2.22 nm, and c-（β″）=0.52 nm was *** the case of Mg-Nd-Zr alloy aged at 250℃,the presence ofβ″andβ′phases was *** crystal structure ofβ″phase was found to be DO-（19） and its orientation relationships with Mg matrix were [0001]-（β″）//[0001]-（Mg） and [01（？）0]-（β″）//[01（？）0]-（Mg）.Theβ′phase had face centered cubic structure and its orientation relationships with Mg matrix were [011]-（β′）//[0001]-（Mg） and [（？）1（？）]β′//[（？）110]）-（Mg）. The ***-0.5Zr alloy showed higher hardness compared with Mg-3.6Y-0.5Zr alloy.

A 53-year-old male developed cervical esophageal stenosis after esophageal bypass surgery using a right colon *** esophageal bypass surgery was performed to treat multiple esophageal strictures resulting from corrosive ingestion three years prior to *** the patient underwent several endoscopic stricture dilatations after surgery,he continued to suffer from recurrent esophageal *** planned cervical patch esophagoplasty with a pedicled skin flap of sternocleidomastoid(SCM) *** recovery was successful,and the patient could eat a solid meal without difficulty and has been well for 18 *** flap esophagoplasty is an easier and safer method of managing complicated and recurrent cervical esophageal strictures than other operations.

AIM:To evaluate the pathogens in cultured jones tubes used in lacrimal bypass surgery according to the postoperative periods and to obtain data for the prevention of infection of functional lacrimal stent ***:Totally 71 patients(81 eyes)who underwent the removal of jones tubes were enrolled in *** the removed jones tubes were cultured for bacterial and fungal identification and tested for bacterial antibiotic *** results were analyzed according to the duration of the inserted jones tube after lacrimal bypass ***:Of the 81 eyes,bacteria were isolated from 69 eyes(85.2%)and fungi from 6 eyes(7.4%).Among 69 eyes,40.6% showed Staphylococcus aureus(***),11.6% were Pseudomonas aeruginosa(***).Gram-positive bacteria were isolated more than Gramnegative bacteria,but Gram-negative bacteria showed a higher incidence in the jones tube implanted for over 10y(P=0.035).The antibiotic sensitivity test showed that 46.4% of *** were resistant to *** terms of antibiotics commonly used in ocular clinical practice,vancomycin was sensitive to *** and Streptococcus pneumoniae(***),amikacin responded to *** and Proteus mirabilis(***).Trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole(TMP/SMX)was all sensitive to ***,*** and *** except ***:*** is the most commonly found organism in the jones tube after lacrimal bypass surgery,and 46.4% of them are methicillin-resistant ***(MRSA),sensitive to ***,*** responded with amikacin is dominantly detected in the jones tubes implanted for more than 10y.

In this study,the characteristics of environmental factors associated with typhoon Kongrey were examined using radiosonde,wind-profiler,radar,and Automated Surface Observing System(ASOS)data in Uljin,which is located the eastern coast of *** radiosonde data were obtained from intensive observation between 1500 LST 5 to 0000 LST 7 October *** factors such as Total Precipitable Water(TPW)and Strom Relative Environmental Helicity(SREH)were selected to examine their relations to typhoon-accompanied *** TPW peak with 60.54 mm appeared at 1200 LST 6 October,which is 6 h after the peak of typhoon *** was found that the TPW variation is largely associated with the effect of water vapor supply from the typhoon with nearest proximity to Uljin at 1500 LST 6 *** SREH,which indicates mechanical instability,was 761 m2 s-2 during the period in which typhoon precipitation *** environments would provide a good condition for the development of super-cell storms,causing heavy precipitation associated with *** addition,it was found that the correlation coefficient between SREH and typhoon rainfall is 0.8(p-value=0.02).

Prediction of effluent concentration in a wastewater treatment plant using machine learning models

Of growing amount of food waste, the integrated food waste and waste water treatment was regarded as one of the efficient modeling method. However, the load of food waste to the conventional waste treatment process might lead to the high concentration of total nitrogen（T-N） impact on the effluent water quality. The objective of this study is to establish two machine learning models-artificial neural networks（ANNs） and support vector machines（SVMs）, in order to predict 1-day interval T-N concentration of effluent from a wastewater treatment plant in Ulsan, Korea. Daily water quality data and meteorological data were used and the performance of both models was evaluated in terms of the coefficient of determination（R^2）, Nash-Sutcliff efficiency（NSE）, relative efficiency criteria（d rel）. Additionally, Latin-Hypercube one-factor-at-a-time（LH-OAT） and a pattern search algorithm were applied to sensitivity analysis and model parameter optimization, respectively. Results showed that both models could be effectively applied to the 1-day interval prediction of T-N concentration of effluent. SVM model showed a higher prediction accuracy in the training stage and similar result in the validation ***, the sensitivity analysis demonstrated that the ANN model was a superior model for 1-day interval T-N concentration prediction in terms of the cause-and-effect relationship between T-N concentration and modeling input values to integrated food waste and waste water treatment. This study suggested the efficient and robust nonlinear time-series modeling method for an early prediction of the water quality of integrated food waste and waste water treatment process.

BACKGROUND Capecitabine is used in combination with lapatinib as palliative treatment for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-positive metastatic breast *** most frequently reported adverse events attributed to capecitabine include diarrhea,hyperbilirubinemia,and hand-foot syndrome(HFS).A number of cutaneous adverse events have been attributed to capecitabine,including Stevens-johnson syndrome(SJS)as a rare and potentially life-threatening mucocutaneous *** report the first case involving concurrent SJS and HFS after capecitabine and lapatinib *** SUMMARY A 70-year-old woman with a history of breast cancer treatment visited our hospital for evaluation of painful skin *** weeks earlier,she had been prescribed capecitabine plus lapatinib as treatment for metastatic breast *** subsequently developed worsening erythema and bullae on her palms and soles,as well as reddish macules on her back and chest *** evaluation of the chest wall lesions revealed extensive eosinophilic epidermal necrosis and separation of the epidermis from the *** capecitabine plus lapatinib treatment was discontinued immediately and treatment was started using systemic *** treatment resolved most lesions,although the lesions on her palms and soles required Vaseline gauze dressings,which resulted in ***,we determined that the patient had concurrent SJS and *** the dermatological problems resolved,the patient ultimately died because of multiple organ *** Oral capecitabine treatment carries a risk of both HFS and also life-threatening adverse cutaneous drug reactions,such as SJS.

We present a new class of metastable high-entropy alloys(HEAs),triggering deformation-induced martensitic transformation(DIMT)from face-centered-cubic(FCC)to body-centered-cubic(BCC),i.e.,*** the ab-initio calculation based on 1 st order axial interaction model and combined with the Gibbs free energy calculation,the addition of Si is considered as a critical element which enables to reduce the intrinsic stacking fault energy(ISFE)in Si_xV_((9-x))Cr_(10)Mn_5 Fe_(46)Co_(30)(x=2,4,and 7 at.%)alloy *** ISFE decreases from-30.4 to-35.5 mJ/m^(2)as the Si content increases from 2 to 7 at.%,which well corresponds to the reduced phase stability of FCC against *** BCC-DIMT occurs in all the alloys via intermediate HCP martensite,and the HCP martensite provides nucleation sites of BCC ***,the transformation rate enhances as the Si content increases in an earlier deformation ra ***,the BCC-DIMT is also affected by the phase stability of FCC against BCC,and the stability is the highest at the Si content of 7 at.%.Thus,the 7Si alloy presents the moderate transformation rate in the later deformation *** to the well-controlled transformation rate and consequent strain-ha rdening rate,the 7Si alloy possesses the superior combination of strength and ductility beyond 1 GPa of tensile strength at room *** results suggest that the Si addition can be a favorable candidate in various metastable HEAs for the further property improvement.
