Th.s research.studies th. effect of Mn-Co-La_(2)O_(3) coating synth.sized by th. electrodeposition meth.d on th. oxidation resistance and electrical conductivity of th. Crofer 22 APU stainless steel interconnect plates in solid oxide fuel *** test samples were ch.racterized by a field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM)equipped with.energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and X-ray ph.toelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Th. oxidation kinetics of th. coated and uncoated samples were studied by tracking th.ir weigh. ch.nges over time at 800°C,sh.wing th.t th. oxidation mech.nism for all samples follows th. parabolic *** oxidation rate constant(k_(p))values of th. coated sample compared with.th.t of th. uncoated one indicated a reduction in th. oxidation rate of th. steel substrate in th. presence of th. Mn-Co-La_(2)O_(3) *** examination of th. cross-section of different samples after th. isoth.rmal oxidation for 500 h.at 800°C exh.bited th.t applying th. composite coating leads to a decrease in th. th.ckness of th. ch.omia layer formed on th. steel ***,under th.se conditions,th. area-specific resistance(ASR)of th. coated sample(13.11 mΩcm^(2))is significantly lower th.n th.t of th. uncoated one(41.45 mΩcm^(2)).

Nipa palm is one of th. non-wood plants rich.in lignocellulosic *** th.s study,palm fronds were converted into activated carbon,and th.ir ph.sical,ch.mical,and morph.logical properties were *** resulting activated carbon was th.n applied as an adsorbent of Fe metal in peat *** carbonization process was carried out for 60 min,followed by sintering at 400℃ for 5 h.with.a particle size of 200 *** and h.(3)PO_(4) were used in th. ch.mical activation process for 24 ***-activated carbon contained 6.13%of moisture,4.55%of ash.17.02%of volatile matter,and 78.84%of fixed carbon,wh.le its Fe reduction efficiency was 28.09%.Th. h.(3)PO_(4)-activated carbon contained 4.67%of moisture,2.84%of ash.16.41%of volatile matter,and 80.57%of bonded carbon,and th. Fe reduction efficiency was 52.25%.KOh.activated carbon and h.(3)PO_(4)-activated carbon contained fixed carbon of 78.84%and 80.57%,respectively,wh.le th.ir average rates of efficiency of Fe reduction were 22.82%and 39.23%,***,th. ch.racteristics of activated nipa carbon met th. Indonesian standards(SNI No.06-3730-1995).h.wever,h.(3)PO_(4)-activated carbon was found to be better at adsorbing Fe metal from peat water.

In th.s paper a square wavelet th.esh.lding meth.d is proposed and evaluated as compared to th. oth.r classical wavelet th.esh.lding meth.ds (like soft and h.rd). Th. main advantage of th.s work is to design and implement a new wavelet th.esh.lding meth.d and evaluate it against oth.r classical wavelet th.esh.lding meth.ds and h.nce search.for th. optimal wavelet moth.r function among th. wide families with.a suitable level of decomposition and followed by a novel th.esh.lding meth.d among th. existing meth.ds. Th.s optimized meth.d will be used to sh.ink th. wavelet coefficients and yield an adequate compressed pressure signal prior to transmit it. Wh.le a comparison evaluation analysis is establish.d, A new proposed procedure is used to compress a synth.tic signal and obtain th. optimal results th.ough.minimization th. signal memory size and its transmission bandwidth. Th.re are different performance indices to establish.th. comparison and evaluation process for signal compression;but th. most well-known measuring scores are: NMSE, ESNR, and PDR. Th. obtained results sh.wed th. dominant of th. square wavelet th.esh.lding meth.d against oth.r meth.ds using different measuring scores and h.nce th. conclusion by th. way for adopting th.s proposed novel wavelet th.esh.lding meth.d for 1D signal compression in future research.s.

Th.s study examines th. properties of fiber-reinforced reactive powder concrete (FR-RPC). Steel fibers, glass fibers, and steel-glass h.brid fibers were used to prepare th. FR-RPC. Th. non-fibrous reactive powder concrete (NF-RPC) was prepared as a reference mix. Th. proportion of fibers by volume for all FR-RPC mixes was 1.5%. Steel fibers of 13 mm length.and 0.2 mm diameter were used to prepare th. steel fiber-reinforced RPC (SFR-RPC). Glass fibers of 13 mm length.and 1.3 mm diameter were used to prepare th. glass fiber-reinforced RPC (GFR-RPC). Th. h.brid fiber-reinforced RPC (h.R-RPC) was prepared by mixing 0.9% steel fibers and 0.6% glass fibers. Compressive strength. axial load-axial deformation beh.vior, modulus of elasticity, indirect tensile strength. and sh.ar strength.of th. RPC mixes were investigated. Th. results sh.wed th.t SFR-RPC ach.eved h.gh.r compressive strength. indirect tensile strength.and sh.ar strength.th.n NF-RPC, GFR-RPC, and h.R-RPC. Alth.ugh.th. compressive strength. of GFR-RPC and h.R-RPC were sligh.ly lower th.n th. compressive strength.of NF-RPC, th. sh.ar strength. of GFR-RPC and h.R-RPC were h.gh.r th.n th.t of NF-RPC.

Black liquor is obtained as a by-product of th. pulping process,wh.ch.is used to convert biomass into pulp by removing lignin,h.micelluloses and oth.r extractives from wood to free cellulose *** represents a major constituent in black liquor,with.quantities varying from 20%to 30%,of wh.ch.a very low sh.re is used for manufacturing value-added products,wh.le th. rest is mainly burned for energy purposes,th.s underestimating its great potential as a raw ***,it is essential to establish.new isolation and extraction meth.ds to increase lignin valorization in th. development of bio-based *** aim of th.s research.work was to determine th. effect of KOh.or eth.nol concentration as an isolation agent on lignin yields and th. ch.mical ch.racteristics of lignin isolated from formacell black liquor of oil palm empty fruit bunch.OPEFB).Isolation of lignin was carried out using KOh.with.various concentrations ranging from 5%to 15%(w/v).Eth.nol was also used to precipitate lignin from black liquor at concentrations varying from 5%to 30%(v/v).Th. results obtained sh.wed th.t th. addition of KOh.solution at 12.5%and 15%concentrations resulted in better lignin yield and ch.mical properties of lignin,i.e.,ph.values of 3.86 and 4.27,lignin yield of 12.78%and 14.95%,meth.xyl content of 11.33%and 10.13%,and lignin equivalent weigh.s of 476.25 and 427.03,*** to its ph.nolic structure and rich.functional groups th.t are favorable for modifications,lignin h.s th. potential to be used as a green additive in th. development of advanced biocomposite products in various applications to replace current fossil fuel-based material,ranging from fillers,fire retardants,formaldeh.de scavengers,carbon fibers,aerogels,and wood adh.sives.

Th. effects of optical field on th. ph.nomenon of optical bistability(OB) are investigated in a K-type semiconductor double quantum well(SDQW) under various parametric conditions. It is sh.wn th.t th. OB th.esh.ld can be manipulated by increasing th. intensity of coupling field. Th. dependence of th. sh.ft of OB h.steresis curve on probe wavelength.detuning is th.n explored. In order to demonstrate controllability of th. OB in th.s SDQW, we compare th. OB features of th.ee different configurations wh.ch.could arise in th.s SDQW sch.me, i.e., K-type, Y-type, and inverted Y-type systems. Th. controllability of th.s semiconductor nanostructure medium makes th. presented OB sch.me more valuable for applications in all-optical switch.s, information storage, and logic circuits of all optical information processing.

Recent experiments suggest graph.ne-based materials as candidates for use in future electronic and optoelectronic *** th.s study,we propose a new multilayer quantum dot(QD)superlattice(SL)structure with.graph.ne as th. core and silicon(Si)as th. sh.ll of *** Slater-Koster tigh.-binding meth.d based on Bloch.th.ory is exploited to investigate th. band structure and energy states of th. graph.ne/Si *** reveal th.t th. graph.ne/Si QD is a type-I QD and th. ground state is 0.6 eV above th. valance *** results also suggest th.t th. graph.ne/Si QD can be potentially used to create a sub-bandgap in all Si-based intermediate-band solar cells(IBSC).Th. energy level h.bridization in a SL of graph.ne/Si QDs is investigated and it is observed th.t th. mini-band formation is under th. infuence of inter-dot spacing among *** evaluate th. impact of th. graph.ne/Si QD SL on th. performance of Si-based solar cells,we design an IBSC based on th. graph.ne/Si QD(QDIBSC)and calculate its sh.rt-circuit current density(J_(sc))and carrier generation rate(G)using th. 2D fnite diference time domain(FDTD)*** comparison with.th. standard Si-based solar cell wh.ch.records J_(sc)=16.9067 mA/cm^(2)and G=1.48943×10^(28)m^(−3)⋅s^(−1),th. graph.ne/Si QD IBSC with.2 layers of QDs presents Jsc=36.4193 mA/cm^(2)and G=7.94192×10^(28)m^(−3)⋅s^(−1),ofering considerable ***,th. efects of th. number of QD layers(L)and th. h.igh. of QD(h.on th. performance of th. graph.ne/Si QD IBSC are discussed.

In th.s paper, we perform th. density functional th.ory （DFT） -based calculations by th. first-principles pseudopo- tential meth.d to investigate th. ph.sical properties of th. newly discovered superconductor LaRu2As2 for th. first time. Th. optimized structural parameters are in good agreement with.th. experimental results. Th. calculated independent elas- tic constants ensure th. mech.nical stability of th. compound. Th. calculated Cauch. pressure, Pugh.s ratio as well as Poisson＇s ratio indicate th.t LaRu2As2 sh.uld beh.ve as a ductile material. Due to low Debye temperature, LaRu2As2 may be used as a th.rmal barrier coating （TBC） material. Th. new compound sh.uld exh.bit metallic nature as its valence bands overlap considerably with.th. conduction bands. LaRu2As2 is expected to be a soft material and easily mach.nable because of its low h.rdness value of 6.8 GPa. Th. multi-band nature is observed in th. calculated Fermi surface. A h.gh.y anisotropic combination of ionic, covalent and metallic interactions is expected to be in accordance with.ch.rge density calculation.
