This paper presents the perturbation and observation (P & O) algorithm as maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method for the dynamical analysis of DC shunt motor fed by photovoltaic generator at different solar irradiance levels. At each solar intensity, the maximum power point of current/voltage (I/V) characteristic of the PV generator is achieved by perturbation and observation algorithm. The nonlinear behavior of (I/V) characteristics of the PV generator at various solar intensities and the magnetization curve of the ferromagnetic material of the DC shunt motor are described by high order polynomial mathematical expression. The dynamical analysis of the DC shunt motor fed by PV generator at different solar intensity has been carried out, also the dynamical analysis of DC shunt motor is investigated at a step change in solar intensity levels with fixed load at motor.

Since the COVid-19 pandemic was first reported in 2019,it has rapidly spread around the *** countries implemented several measures to try to control the virus *** healthcare system and consequently the general quality of life population in the cities have all been significantly impacted by the Coronavirus *** different waves of contagious were responsible for the increase in the number of cases that,unfortunately,many times lead to *** this paper,we aim to characterize the dynamics of the six waves of cases and deaths caused by COVid-19 in Rio de Janeiro city using techniques such as the Poincaréplot,approximate entropy,second-order difference plot,and central tendency *** results reveal that by examining the structure and patterns of the time series,using a set of non-linear techniques we can gain a better understanding of the role of multiple waves of COVid-19,also,we can identify underlying dynamics of disease spreading and extract meaningful information about the dynamical behavior of epidemiological time *** findings can help to closely approximate the dynamics of virus spread and obtain a correlation between the different stages of the disease,allowing us to identify and categorize the stages due to different virus variants that are reflected in the time series.

Detection and determination of undeclared synthetic caffeine in weight loss formulations using HPLC-DAD and UHPLC-MS/MS

Caffeine is present in products marketed for weight loss, with the purpose of increasing thermogenesis and lipid metabolism. The dosage declared by the product manufacturer, or even its presence, is not always correctly described on the label. This work aimed to investigate the undeclared synthetic caffeine in weight loss formulations by a high-performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection(HPLC-DAD) method. From one hundred products purchased through Brazilian e-commerce, seventeen contained caffeine, either naturally or synthetically added to formulation. The caffeine-containing samples were confirmed by an ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UHPLC-MS/MS) method, and adulteration was clearly proven in five products. The content highest caffeine contained 448.8 mg per dose. Other irregularities were also found; nevertheless, the most serious was the addition of synthetic drugs without asking the consumers. Additional drugs expose the consumer to more possible side-effects as well as deleterious drug interactions. Intentional adulteration with any unlabeled substance is typically motivated by a desire to increase or alter the claimed effect of the marketed product to gain a commercial advantage.

Objective: To collect high quality, representative tissue material from tumors and manage its distribution to different laboratories. Design: Prospective controlled study. Animals: Thirty-six dogs with mast cell tumors. Procedures: The samples were submitted for the following analyses: stereology;histopathology;cell culture;breakdown for cytogenetic analysis of chromosomes (based on the Boxer breed published genome);Cell lysis for Real Time PCR and quantification of gene expression of CX 43, 32 and E-cadherin in canine mast cells. Results: Cytogenetic chromosome analysis, 90.9% of the samples were considered to be of good quality. For gene expression quantification of CX 43, 32 and E-cadherin in canine mast cell tumors (MCT), 95.5% of samples were considered to be of good quality. Conclusions and Clinical Relevance: We seek to assess the importance of surgical collection and post-surgical tissue preparation on laboratory testing by collecting surgical material appropriately to allow accurate diagnosis and reliable clinical prognosis and minimize errors caused by inadequate preparation of samples.

Medium Term Load Forecasting for Jordan Electric Power System Using Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm Based on Least Square Regression Methods

This paper presents a technique for Medium Term Load Forecasting (MTLF) using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm based on Least Squares Regression Methods to forecast the electric loads of the Jordanian grid for year of 2015. Linear, quadratic and exponential forecast models have been examined to perform this study and compared with the Auto Regressive (AR) model. MTLF models were influenced by the weather which should be considered when predicting the future peak load demand in terms of months and weeks. The main contribution for this paper is the conduction of MTLF study for Jordan on weekly and monthly basis using real data obtained from National Electric Power Company NEPCO. This study is aimed to develop practical models and algorithm techniques for MTLF to be used by the operators of Jordan power grid. The results are compared with the actual peak load data to attain minimum percentage error. The value of the forecasted weekly and monthly peak loads obtained from these models is examined using Least Square Error (LSE). Actual reported data from NEPCO are used to analyze the performance of the proposed approach and the results are reported and compared with the results obtained from PSO algorithm and AR model.

AIM To evaluate the effects of sodium alendronate on bone repair in fractures created in appendicular bones. METHODS Wistar rats(n = 36) were allocated into three distinct groups: group C(control), group B1(received 1 mg/kg of alendronate), and group B2(received 3 mg/kg of alendronate). The rats underwent femoral transversal linear fracture surgery using stable internal fixation with a 2.0 mm plate and screw system. Each animal randomly received intraperitoneal applications of sodium alendronate at a dose corresponding to group B1 or B2 three times a week, while the control group received a 0.9% saline solution. Drug administration was performed until euthanasia at 45 d. The femurs were removed and each surgical piece was sent for radiographic, tomographic and microtomographic analysis. Data were submitted to descriptive and inferential statistical analysis(95% confidence interval).RESULTS Quantitative evaluations of bone neoformation did not show differences among the groups in the radiographic(P = 0.341), microtomographic(P = 0.581) and tomographic evaluations(P = 0.171). In the qualitative microtomographic analysis, a smaller distance was observed between the internal bone trabeculae in the groups that used alendronate(P = 0.05). On the other hand, group B2 had a higher amount of bone trabeculae per unit length when compared to the other groups(P = 0.04).CONCLUSION It is likely that the use of alendronate did not have a direct influence on the amount of bone neoformation, however it did influence the bone quality in a dosedependent manner, ultimately affecting the distance and quantity of the trabeculae.

This article aims to investigate the potential for energy savings and impact on greenhouse gas(GHG)generation of social housing in southern *** and energy analysis of two architectural projects was carried out,one of them being a social interest housing unit and an optimized version of this unit characterized as Nearly Zero Energy Building(NZEB).At the end of the study,a cost analysis was carried out taking into account the building construction and local electricity generation through the installation of a photovoltaic(PV)*** the methods,software SketchUp Make and EnergyPlus was used for computer simulation,after which the PV power generation system for both buildings was dimensioned using the PvSol ***,the percentage of adaptive comfort of ASHRAE 55 was calculated,as well as financial analysis for the building construction and PV modules *** is concluded that it is possible to reduce energy consumption of this social interest housing by 52%and the heating consumption by 72%with passive strategies and envelope *** in an efficient building results in a 29%increase in building costs and promotes savings of 39.5 tCO_(2)over the life of the *** study demonstrates the importance of making NZEB buildings economically viable.
