Nowadays,lithium batteries with(CF) and MnO as cathodes are manufactured in the USSR for using in wrist watches and microcalculators. To meet different needs of industry and consumers some possibilities of developing lithium systems with other cathodes are *** candidates for new 1,Sv and 3v batteries BiO, (BiO)·(PbO) andβ-PbO are considered.

A model for the chain-to-plane charge transfer is proposed to account for the two plateaus, at 60 K and at 90 K, of the Tc（x） characteristics of the YBa2Cu3O6＋x high-Tc superconductor. It is assumed that the number of holes transferred from a CuO chain of length l to two nearby CuO2 sheets is proportional to l （that is, to the number of oxygen atoms in the chain）, if the chain length is greater than, or equal to, a certain critical chain length, lcr, that is required to trigger the charge transfer process. No holes are assumed to have been transferred from chains of length l〈 lcr. The calculated Tc（x） dependence is found to be in excellent agreement with the experimentally reported Tc（x）. The critical chain length parameter is estimated to be equal to lcr = 11 （eleven oxygen atoms in a chain）, which is a greater value than that obtained in the previously proposed model for the chain-to-plane charge transfer （lcr = 4）. The results obtained out of the proposed model are briefly discussed.

The Y3(AI,Ga)5O12:Ce^3+,Cr^3+,Nd^3+(YAGG)nano-phosphors with homogeneous particle-size distribution,low aggregation and average crystalline size of about 65 nm were obtained using a modified Pechini *** slight aggregation of the crystallites occurs after post-annealing at 1100℃.The intense Ce^3+bands in the excitation spectra of the Ce^3+,Cr^3+,Nd^3+co-doped materials monitoring the Cr^3+emission at 690 nm indicate energy transfer from Ce^3+to Cr^3+.Weak Nd^3+lines are observed,as *** addition,the emission of Nd^3+at 1060 nm with excitation of Ce^3+and Cr^3+confirms the Ce^3+/Cr^3+to Nd^3+energy *** short average luminescence decay times for the Ce^3+emission indicate the Ce^3+/Cr^3+to Nd^3+energy ***,the Y3(AI,Ga)5O12:Ce^3+,Cr^3+,Nd^3+nano-phosphors exhibit persistent luminescence originating from the 4f^3→4f^3 transitions of Nd^3+which matches well to the first biological window to be used in bioimaging applications.

Adaptation allows organisms to maintain a constant internal environment,which is optimised for *** unfolded protein response(UPR)is an example of a feedback loop that maintains endoplasmic reticulum(ER)homeostasis,and is characteristic of how adaptation is often mediated by transcriptional *** more recent discovery of asymmetric division in maintaining ER homeostasis,however,is an example of how alternative non-transcriptional pathways can exist,but are overlooked by gold standard transcriptomic or proteomic population-based *** this study,we have used a combination of fluorescent reporters,flow cytometry and mathematical modelling to explore the relative roles of asymmetric cell division and the UPR in maintaining ER *** low ER stress,asymmetric division leaves daughter cells with an ER deficiency,necessitating activation of the UPR and prolonged cell cycle during which they can recover ER functionality before *** analysis of and simulation results from our mathematical model reinforce the experimental observations that low ER stress primarily impacts the growth rate of the daughter *** results demonstrate the interplay between homeostatic pathways and the importance of exploring sub-population dynamics to understand population adaptation to quantitatively different stresses.
