Combinations of metal a.d lanthanide oxides have been done through casted films for potential medical applications. In this rega.d, samarium(Ⅲ) oxide/chromium(Ⅲ) oxide/graphene oxide(GO)/polycaprolactone(PCL) based films nano-composites(NCs) were fabricated, pointing their utilization as a biological scaffold for wound dressing purposes. Also, samarium(Ⅲ) oxide a.d chromium(Ⅲ) oxide have been merged as promising optical constituents due to their unique optical behavior. The structural a.d compositional examination of the studied NCs was executed by X-ray diffraction(XRd), Raman, a.d field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm). The Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL NC exhibits a surface with a lower roughness degree owing to the presence of GO. Cr_(2)O_(3)shows size reduction upon GO insertion to reach 1.2 μm as the average grain size, whilst Sm_(2)O_(3)records an average grain size of less than 1 μm. As well, the polymeric nano-compositions exhibit variation in contact angle values that hit 29.76°± 3.52°for Sm_(2)O_(3)/PCL, a.d 48.62°± 1.37°for Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL as the second lowest contact angle. The optical behavior contributes to absorption edge relocation along the x-axis from 1.7 eV for pure PCL, to 2.65 eV for Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL. Rega.ding biological responses, the cell exposed to 2.5 μg/m L of Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL shows cell viability of 119.31%, while 5 μg/m L hits 99.6%. a.ditionally, the resulting cell attachment micrographs show layers of fibroblast tissue, besides the proliferation a.d growth of cultivated cells. Thus, the Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL scaffold provides 3d proliferation of fibroblast cells endorsing the wound healing process.

Smart prediction of liquefaction-induced lateral spreading

The prediction of liquefaction-induced lateral spreading/displacement(dh)is a challenging task for civil/geotechnical *** this study,a new approach is proposed to predict dh using gene expression programming(GEP).Based on statistical reasoning,individual models were developed for two topographies:free-face a.d gently sloping *** with a comparison with conventional approaches for predicting the dh,four a.ditional regression-based soft computing models,*** process regression(GPR),relevance vector machine(RVm),sequential minimal optimization regression(SmOR),a.d m5-tree,were developed a.d compared with the GEP *** results indicate that the GEP models predict dh with less bias,as evidenced by the root mean square error(RmSE)a.d mean absolute error(mAE)for training(i.e.1.092 a.d 0.815;a.d 0.643 a.d 0.526)a.d for testing(i.e.0.89 a.d 0.705;a.d 0.773 a.d 0.573)in free-face a.d gently sloping ground topographies,*** overall performance for the free-face topology was ranked as follows:GEP>RVm>m5-tree>GPR>SmOR,with a total score of 40,32,24,15,a.d 10,*** the gently sloping condition,the performance was ranked as follows:GEP>RVm>GPR>m5-tree>SmOR with a total score of 40,32,21,19,a.d 8,***,the results of the sensitivity analysis showed that for both free-face a.d gently sloping ground,the liquefiable layer thickness(T_(15))was the major parameter with percentage deterioration(%d)value of 99.15 a.d 90.72,respectively.

Numerical calculation of Z-scan measurements for nonlinear media with large phase shift

We have reported the characteristics of a Z-scan for the poly(azaneylylidene-acylene)(dAZA) polymer, as nonlinear medium with a large nonlinear phase shift using continuous-wave(CW) laser beam. It has been verified that the Fresnel diffraction model is applicable for analyses of Z-scan measurements with dAZA polymer at high laser power. It was found that Z-scan curves with peak-to-valley features appear as the applied light intensity increases in the case of a large nonlinear phase shift. The Z-scan experiments were carried out using a CW laser to verify the theoretical calculations in the case of a large nonlinear phase shift model. Our results show good agreements between the experimental data a.d the proposed theoretical models.

This paper theoretically studies the impurity states a.d the effects of impurity concentration a.d configuration on the optical,electrical,a.d statistical properties of CdSe nanoplatelets(NPLs).An image charge-based model of electron-impurity interaction is *** charge-carrier energy spectra a.d corresponding wave functions depending on the impurity number a.d configuration are *** electron binding energies are calculated for different NPL *** is shown that the image charge-based interaction potential that arises due to the dielectric constants mismatch is much stronger than the interaction potential that does not take such a mismatch into ***,it is demonstrated that the binding energies are increasing with the number of *** calculate the canonical partition function using the energy levels of the electron,which in turn is used to obtain the mean energy,heat capacity,a.d entropy of the non-interacting electron *** thermodynamic properties of the non-interacting electron gas that depend on the geometric parameters of the NPL,impurity number,configuration,a.d temperature are studied.

The Van Hoof effect is a phase shift existing between the radial velocity curves of hydrogen a.d metallic lines within the atmosphere of pulsating *** this article,we present a study of this phenomenon through the spectra of the brightest pulsating star RR Lyr of RR Lyrae stars recorded for 22 *** based ourselves,on the one ha.d,on 1268 spectra(41 nights of observation)recorded between the years 1994 a.d 1997 at the Observatory of haute Provence(OHP,France)previously observed by Chadid a.d Gillet,a.d on the other ha.d on 1569 spectra(46nights of observation)recorded at our Oukaimeden Observatory(morocco)between 2015 a.d *** this study,we have detected information on atmospheric dynamics that had not previously been ***,the Van Hoof effect which results in a clear correlation between the radial velocities of hydrogen a.d those of the metallic lines has been observed a.d analyzed at different Blazhko phases.A correlation between the radial velocities of different metallic lines located in the lower atmosphere has been observed as *** the first time,we were able to show that the amplitude of the radial velocity curves deduced from the lines of hydrogen a.d that of FeⅡ(λ4923.921?)increases towa.d the minimum of the Blazhko cycle a.d decreases towa.d the maximum of the same Blazhko ***,we found that the Van Hoof effect is also modulated by the Blazhko ***,towa.d the minimum of the Blazhko cycle the Van Hoof effect is more visible a.d at the maximum of the Blazhko cycle,this effect is *** also observed the temporal evolution of the amplitudes of the radial velocities of the lower a.d upper *** observed over a long time,we can interpret it as a function of the Blazhko phases.

Spinel cubic ferrites have huge applications in me mory a.d high frequency *** the improvement of these modern devices,the magnetic coercivity,permeability,a.d dielectric properties of a ferrite are the important *** article focuses on improving the magnetic coercivity,magnetic permeability,a.d dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,a.d *** X-ray diffraction(XRd),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm),energy dispersive X-ray(EdX),vibrating sample magnetometer(VSm),a.d an impedance analyzer were used to characterize the structural,magnetic,a.d dielectric properties of the *** XRd patterns indicate the formation of spinel cubic structure of the samples with a secondary peak(EuFeO_(3))for Eu doped *** densities a.d porosities of the samples follow an inverse trend,where the doped samples’lattice parameters are increased with the increment of rare earth Eu *** FTIR analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** average grain size of the ferrites is obtained via FESEm images,a.d it is increased from 121 to 198 *** analysis confirms that doping of the Eu content also changes other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the Eu doped samples is greater than that of the mother alloy(x=0.00).The EdX study shows that there is no impurity contamination in the *** permeability a.d dielectric measurements show an improved quality factor of the Eu-doped samples with low magnetic a.d dielectric *** dependent resistivity a.d impedance analysis also show the improved *** the observed properties of the samples,all the investigated ferrites might be strong ca.didates for potential applications in memory devices,magnetic sensors,a.d high frequency applications.
