proton accumulation accelerated by heavy chemical nitrogen fertilization and its long-term impact on acidifying rate in a typical arable soil in the huang-Huai-Hai plain

Cropland productivity has been significantly impacted by soil acidification resulted from nitrogen （N） fertilization, especially as a result of excess ammoniacal N input. With decades＇ intensive agricultural cultivation and heavy chemical N input in the huang-Huai-Hai plain, the impact extent of induced proton input on soil pH in the long term was not yet clear. In this study, acidification rates of different soil layers in the soil profile （0-120 cm） were calculated by pH buffer capacity （pHBC） and net input of protons due to chemical N incorporation. Topsoil （0-20 cm） pH changes of a long-term fertilization field （from 1989） were determined to validate the predicted values. The results showed that the acid and alkali buffer capacities varied significantly in the soil profile, averaged 692 and 39.8 mmolc kg-1 pH-1, respectively. A significant （p〈0.05） correlation was found between pHRC and the content of calcium carbonate. Based on the commonly used application rate of urea （500 kg N ha-1 yr-1）, the induced proton input in this region was predicted to be 16.1 kmol ha-1 yr-1, and nitrification and plant uptake of nitrate were the most important mechanisms for proton producing and consuming, respectively. The acidification rate of topsoil （0-20 cm） was estimated to be 0.01 unit pH yr-1 at the assumed N fertilization level. From 1989 to 2009, topsoil pH （0-20 cm） of the long-term fertilization field decreased from 8.65 to 8.50 for the pK （phosphorus, 150 kg p205 ha-1 yr-1; potassium, 300 kg K20 ha-1 yr-1; without N fertilization）, and 8.30 for NpK （nitrogen, 300 kg N ha-1 yr-1; phosphorus, 150 kg p2Os ha-1 yr-1; potassium, 300 kg K20 ha -1 yr-1）, respectively. Therefore, the apparent soil acidification rate induced by N fertilization equaled to 0.01 unit pH yr-1, which can be a reference to the estimated result, considering the effect of atmospheric N deposition, crop biomass, field management and plant uptake of other nutrients and cations. A thermodynamic perspective on electrode poisoning in solid oxide fuel cells

A critical challenge to the commercialization of clean and high-efficiency solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)technology is the insuf-ficient stack lifespan caused by a variety of degradation mechanisms,which are associated with cell components and chemical *** components related degradation refers to thermal/chemical/electrochemical deterioration of cell materials under operating conditions,whereas the latter regards impurities in feedstocks of oxidant(air)and reductant(fuel).This article provides a thermodynamic perspective on the understanding of the impurities-induced degradation mechanisms in *** discussion focuses on using thermodynamic ana-lysis to elucidate poisoning mechanisms in cathodes by impurity species such as Cr,CO_(2),H_(2)O,and SO_(2) and in the anode by species such as S(or H_(2)S),SiO_(2),and p_(2)(or pH_(3)).The author hopes the presented fundamental insights can provide a theoretical foundation for search-ing for better technical solutions to address the critical degradation challenges.

popularity plays a significant role in the recommendation system. Traditional popularity is only defined as a static ratio or metric (e.g., a ratio of users who have rated the item and the box office of a movie) regardless of the previous trends of this ratio or metric and the attribute diversity of items. To solve this problem and reach accurate popularity, we creatively propose to extract the popularity of an item according to the proportional Integral Differential (pID) idea. Specifically, Integral (I) integrates a physical quantity over a time window, which agrees with the fact that determining the attributes of items also requires a long-term observation. The Differential (D) emphasizes an incremental change of a physical quantity over time, which coincidentally caters to a trend. Moreover, in the Session-Based Recommendation (SBR) community, many methods extract session interests without considering the impact of popularity on interest, leading to suboptimal recommendation results. To further improve recommendation performance, we propose a novel strategy that leverages popularity to enhance the session interest (popularity-aware interest). The proposed popularity by pID is further used to construct the popularity-aware interest, which consistently improves the recommendation performance of the main models in the SBR community. For STAMp, SRGNN, GCSAN, and TAGNN, on Yoochoose1/64, the metric p@20 is relatively improved by 0.93%, 1.84%, 2.02%, and 2.53%, respectively, and MRR@20 is relatively improved by 3.74%, 1.23%, 2.72%, and 3.48%, respectively. On Movieslen-1m, the relative improvements of p@20 are 7.41%, 15.52%, 8.20%, and 20.12%, respectively, and that of MRR@20 are 2.34%, 12.41%, 20.34%, and 19.21%, respectively.

Aberrant protamination in sperm correlates to anomalous nuclear and cytoplasmic architectures in infertile males with sperm dysmorphology

Aberrant sperm protamination is linked to sperm dysmorphology and nuclear chromatin ***,its effects on sperm cytoplasmic maturation remain largely *** relationships of protamines,sperm morphology,DNA damage,and cytoplasmic remodeling were illustrated in this study to provide fresh perspectives on the mechanisms of male infertility.A total of 205 infertile males were allocated into 5 groups according to the percentage of spermatozoa exhibiting abnormal morphology within their *** concentration,motility,abnormal sperm morphology,cytoplasmic droplets(CDs),and excess residual cytoplasm(ERC)were analyzed according to the World Health Organization manual(2010).Sperm nuclear vacuoles(NVs)were determined by propidium iodide(pI)*** protamine expressions(p1 and p2)were detected by western *** damage was measured by acridine orange test(AOT)to calculate the proportion of sperm with single-strand DNA breaks(SSBs).Our data showed that sperm concentration and motility in infertile males significantly decreased with the severity of abnormal sperm morphology(both pp1 level,p1/p2 ratio,and SSB rate increased with the severity of sperm dysmorphology,whilst the p2 level decreased(all pperm dysmorphology and positively correlated with the SSB rate(all pps between the SSB rate and the p1/p2 ratio were also significant(pprotamination may cause sperm dysmorphology and compromise male fertility by impairing sperm's nucleus and cytoplasm maturation,with the p1/p2 ratio potentially serving as a valuable indicator of sperm quality and male fertility.

Bifurcation analysis of an SIS epidemic model with a generalized non-monotonic and saturated incidence rate

In this paper,a new generalized non-monotonic and saturated incidence rate was introduced into a susceptible-infected-susceptible(SIS)epidemic model to account for inhibitory effect and crowding *** dynamic properties of the model were studied by qualitative theory and bifurcation *** is shown that when the infuence of psychological factors is large,the model has only disease-free equilibrium point,and this disease-free equilibrium point is globally asymptotically stable;when the influence of psychological factors is small,for some parameter conditions,the model has a unique endemic equilibrium point,which is a cusp point of co-dimension two,and for other parameter conditions the model has two endemic equilibrium points,one of which could be weak focus or *** addition,the results of the model undergoing saddle-node bifurcation,Hopf bifurcation and Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation as the parameters vary were also *** results shed light on the impact of psychological behavior of susceptible people on the disease transmission.

Semi-supervised surface defect detection of wind turbine blades with YOLOv4

How to optimize and regulate the distribution of phosphoric acid in matrix,and pursuing the improved electrochemical performance and service lifetime of high temperature proton exchange membrane （HT-pEMs） fuel cell are significant ***,bifunctional poly （p-terphenyl-co-isatin piperidinium） copolymer with tethered phosphonic acid （t-pA） and intrinsic tertiary amine base groups are firstly prepared and investigated as *** distinctive architecture of the copolymer provides a well-designed platform for rapid proton *** not only transports through the hydrogen bond network formed by the adsorbed free phosphoric acid （f-pA）anchored by the tertiary amine base groups,but also rely upon the proton channel constructed by the ionic cluster formed by the t-pA *** the design of the structure,the bifunctional copolymers with lower pA uptake level （play prominent proton conductivities and peak power densities (99 mS cm-1,812 mW cm-2at 160℃),along with lower pA leaching and higher voltage stability,which is a top leading result in disclosed *** results demonstrate that the design of intermolecular acid-base-pairs can improve the proton conductivity without sacrificing the intrinsic chemical stability or mechanical property of the thin membrane,realizing win-win demands between the mechanical robustness and electrochemical properties of HT-pEMs.
