Background:Muscle is the complex and heterogeneous tissue,which comprises the primary edible part of the trunk of fish and *** studies have shown that dietary isoleucine(Ile)exerts beneficial effects on growth in aquatic ***,there were limited studies regarding the benefits of Ile on fish muscle and their effects on flesh quality and muscle ***,this study was conducted to explore whether dietary Ile had affected flesh quality and muscle growth in hybrid bagrid catfish(Pelteobagrus vachelli♀×Leiocassis longirostris♂).Methods:A total of 630 hybrid fish,with an initial average body weight of 33.11±0.09 g,were randomly allotted into seven experimental groups with three replicates each,and respectively fed seven diets with 5.0,7.5,10.0,12.5,15.0,17.5,and 2..0 g Ile/kg diets for 8 ***:In the present study,we demonstrated that Ile significantly:(1)increased muscle protein and lipid contents and the frequency distribution of myofibers with≤2.μm and≥50μm of diameter;(2.improved pH value,shear force,cathepsin B and L activities,hydroxyproline content,resilience,cohesiveness,and decreased cooking loss,lactate content,hardness,springiness,gumminess,and chewiness;(3)decreased reactive oxygen species(ROS),malondialdehyde(MDA),and protein carbonyl(PC)contents,GCLC and Keap1 mRNA levels,and up-regulated CuZnSOD,CAT,GPX1a,GST,and Nrf2.mRNA levels;(4)up-regulated the insulin-like growth factor 1,2.IGF-1,IGF-2.,insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor(IGF-1R),proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA),Myf5,Myod,Myog,Mrf4,and MyHC mRNA levels,and decreased MSTN mRNAlevel;(5)increased muscle protein deposition by activating AKT-TOR-S6K1 and AKT-FOXO3a signaling ***:These results revealed that dietary Ile improved flesh quality,which might be due to increasing nutritional content,physicochemical,texture parameters,and antioxidant ability;promoting muscle growth by affecting myocytes hyperplasia and hypertrophy,and muscle protein depos

Quantitative analysis of yield and soil water balance for summer maize on the piedmont of the North china Plain using AquaCrop

The North china Plain(NCP)is a major grain production area in china,but the current winter wheatsummer maize system has resulted in a large water *** water-shortage necessitates the improvement of crop water productivity in the NCP.A crop water model,AquaCrop,was adopted to investigate yield and water productivity(WP)for rain-fed summer maize on the piedmont of the *** data sets to calibrate and validate the model were obtained from a 3-year({2.1–{2.3)field experiment conducted on the Yanshan piedmont of the *** range of root mean square error(RMSE)between the simulated and measured biomass was 0.67–1.2. t·hm^(–2.,and that of relative error(RE)was 9.4%–15.4%,the coefficient of determination(R^(2.)ranged from 0.992.to *** RMSE between the simulated and measured soil water storage at depth of 0–100 cm ranged from 4.09 to 4.39 mm;and RE and R^(2. in the range of 1.07%–1.2.%and 0.880–0.997,*** WP as measured by crop yield per unit evapotranspiration was 2.50–2.66 kg·m^(–3).The simulated impact of long-term climate(i.e.,1980–{2.0)and groundwater depth on crop yield and WP revealed that the higher yield and WP could be obtained in dry years in areas with capillary recharge from groundwater,and much lower values *** simulation also suggested that supplementary irrigation in areas without capillary groundwater would not result in groundwater over-tapping since the precipitation can meet the water required by both maize and ecosystem,thus a beneficial outcome for both food and ecosystem security can be assured.

Leaf chlorophyll content(LCC)is an important physiological indicator of the actual health status of individual *** accurate estimation of LCC can therefore provide valuable information for precision field ***-edge information from hyperspectral data has been widely used to estimate crop ***,after the advent of red-edge bands in satellite imagery,no systematic evaluation of the performance of satellite data has been *** this end,we analyze herein the performance of winter wheat LCC retrieval of currant and forthcoming satellites(RapidEye,Sentinel-2.and EnMAP)and their new red-edge bands by using partial least squares regression(PLSR)and a vegetation-indexbased *** satellite spectral data were obtained by resampling ground-measured hyperspectral data under various field conditions and according to specific spectral response functions and spectral *** results showed:1)This study confirmed that RapidEye,Sentinel-2.and EnMAP data are suitable for winter wheat LCC *** the PLSR approach,Sentinel-2.data provided more accurate estimates of LCC(R2.0.755,0.844,0.805 for 2.02.2.10,and 2.02.2.10)than do RapidEye data(R2.0.689,0.710,0.707 for 2.02.2.10,and 2.02.2.10)and EnMAP data(R2.0.735,0.867,0.771 for 2.02.2.10,and 2.02.2.10).For index-based approaches,the MERIS terrestrial chlorophyll index,which is a vegetation index with two red-edge bands,was the most sensitive and robust index for LCC for both the Sentinel-2.and EnMAP data(R2.0.62.),and the indices(NDRE1,SRRE1 and CIRE1)with a single red-edge band were the most sensitive and robust indices for the RapidEye data(R2.0.42.);2.According to the analysis of the effect of the wavelength and number of used red-edge spectral bands on LCC retrieval,the short-wavelength red-edge bands(from 699 to 734 nm)provided more accurate predictions when using the PLSR approach,whereas the long-wavelength red-edge bands(740 to 783 nm)gave more accurate predictions when using

Soil Olsen P level has a major influence on crop yield,efficient P utilization,and soil *** this study,the optimum Olsen P range was determined from long-term(1990–2.12.field experiments in three typical soil types of{2. under single cropping of maize or double cropping of maize and *** critical soil Olsen P value for crop yield was evaluated using three different models,and the relationships among P use efficiency(PUE),Olsen P,and total P were *** agronomic critical soil Olsen P values obtained from the three models for the neutral soil of Gongzhuling and the calcareous soil of Zhengzhou were similar;however,the values from the linear-linear and linear-plateau models for both maize and wheat were substantially lower than those from the Mitscherlich model for the acidic soil of *** PUE response change rates(linear equation slopes)under different soil Olsen P levels were small,indicating slight or no changes in the PUE as the soil Olsen P increased in all three soils.A comparison of the Olsen P levels that achieved the maximal PUE with the agronomic critical values derived from the three models indicated that the linear-plateau model exhibited the best *** regression equation coefficients of Olsen P response to total P decreased as follows:Zhengzhou(73 mg g-1)>Qiyang(65 mg g-1)>Gongzhuling(55 mg g-1).The Olsen P level increased as the total P increased,which may result in a decrease in *** achieve a relatively high crop yield,PUE,and soil fertility,the optimum Olsen P range should be 13–40,10–40,and 2.–40 mg kg-1 at Gongzhuling,Zhengzhou,and Qiyang,respectively.

鸭2.疱疹病毒,是一种可侵害番鸭、半番鸭等不同品种鸭的疱疹病毒科新成员,经生物学特性测定、血清学试验及致病性试验表明该病毒不同于鸭瘟病毒。采用SDS PAGE分析表明该病毒的结构蛋白带有14条,主要结构蛋白带有7条,其分子量分别为310、163、95、79、69、39、15KD,不同于鸭瘟病毒。依据鸭瘟病毒UL6基因的序列,设计了一对引物,经PCR扩增、琼脂糖凝胶电泳表明只有鸭瘟病毒核酸提取物可扩增出大约42.bp的DNA片段,而鸭2.疱疹病毒核酸提取物、鸡传染性喉气管炎病毒核酸提取物和正常细胞培养物均未扩增出目的基因片段,可见鸭2.疱疹病毒与鸭瘟病毒在DNA分子水平上也存在差异。本研究揭示了该病毒与鸭瘟病毒在结构蛋白和核酸水平上的差异,进一步表明该病毒不同于鸭瘟病毒,为该病毒的确切分类提供了分子生物学依据。

Background:Until January 18,2.2.,coronavirus disease-2.19(COVID-19)has infected more than 93 million individuals and has caused a certain degree of *** pneumonia caused by common viruses such as respiratory syncytial virus,rhinovirus,human metapneumovirus,human bocavirus,and parainfluenza viruses have been more common in ***,the incidence of COVID-19 in children was significantly lower than that in *** purpose of this study was to describe the clinical manifestations,treatment and outcomes of COVID-19 in children compared with those of other sources of viral pneumonia diagnosed during the COVID-19 ***:Children with COVID-19 and viral pneumonia admitted to 2. hospitals were enrolled in this retrospective multi-center cohort study.A total of 64 children with COVID-19 were defined as the COVID-19 cohort,of which 40 children who developed pneumonia were defined as the COVID-19 pneumonia *** 2.4 children with pneumonia caused by other viruses were defined as the viral pneumonia *** epidemiologic,clinical,and laboratory findings were compared by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test,t-test,Mann-Whitney U test and Contingency table *** usage,immunotherapy,blood transfusion,and need for oxygen support were collected as the treatment ***,intensive care needs and symptomatic duration were collected as the outcome ***:Compared with the viral pneumonia cohort,children in the COVID-19 cohort were mostly exposed to family members confirmed to have COVID-19(53/64 vs.2./2.4),were of older median age(6.3 years vs.3.2.years),and had a higher proportion of ground-glass opacity(GGO)on computed tomography(18/40 vs.0/38,P1).Children in the COVID-19 pneumonia cohort had a lower proportion of severe cases(1/40 vs.38/2.4,P=0.048),and lower cases with high fever(3/40 vs.167/2.4,P1),requiring intensive care(1/40 vs.32.2.4,P1).The propor

Impacts of transgenic Bt cotton on the stylet penetration behaviors of Bemisia tabaci biotype B Evidence from laboratory experiments

Stylet penetration behaviors of Bemisia tabaci biotype B on two transgenic cotton lines ＂GK12. and ＂GK19＂ expressing Bt toxic protein CrylA （Bt cotton） and a non-Bt conventional cotton line ＂Simian-3＂（CK cotton） were recorded with the direct current electrical penetration graph （DC-EPG） technique. Our results suggested that EPG waveform patterns, types and characteristics [non-probe （NP）, pathway （C）, potential drops （pd） and phloem phase （E（pd））] ofBemisia tabaci biotype B were very similar on the three cotton lines. There were no obvious differences of pathway variables among whiteflies on the three cotton lines. Some phloem variables related to E（pd）l differed. Duration of 1st E（pd）l and mean duration of E（pd）l on both GK12.and GK19 were significantly shorter than that on CK cotton （P 〈 0.05）. Fewer whiteflies on GK have long E（pd）l. Other phloem variables including total duration of E（pd） summed, mean E（pd） duration and percentage of whiteflies reaching the phloem phase were similar among the three cotton lines.

Grain shape is a key breeding target that influences both grain yield and appearance quality in rice. Breeding for long-slender grains is an effective strategy to improve grain quality (Jain et al., 2.04;wang et al., {2.2. {2.5a). In the past two decades, several quantitative trait loci (QTLs) responsible for grain size and shape have been identified, including GS3 (Fan et al., 2.06), GS5 (Li et al., {2.1).
