Single-grain zircon U-Pb and amphibole 40Ar-39Ar dating have been conducted on a deformed and metamorphosed diorite in the East Kunlun Orogenic Belt, which intruded into the middle Proterozoic Kuhai Group exposed in the south of Xiangride region, Dulan County, NW Qinghai Province. The zircon gives a concordant U-Pb age of (446.5±9.1. Ma. The amphibole yields Ar plateau age of (488.0±1.2) Ma and an isochronal age of (488.9±5.6) Ma. Age results of both stepwise released Ar and conventional K-Ar analysis are remarkably higher than that of zircon U-Pb, suggesting that the amphibole contains excess argon and the amphibole plateau age cannot be taken as the timing of metamorphism or deformation. The zircon age is interpreted to be crystallization age of the diorite pluton, which suggests that an Early-Paleozoic magmatic zone indeed existed in the East Kunlun Orogenic Belt stretching along the region south to the Golmud, Normu{1. and Xiangride.

The primary objective of this study was to develop an autoclaved light concrete （AlC） material with ultra-thermal insulation property and to investigate the relationship between its physical characteristics and mechanical properties. Through tests of dry bulk density and compressive strength, relationship of physical characteristics and mechanical properties of samples were studied, resulting in a material with ultra-thermal insulation property. Scanning electron microscope （SEM） and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDX） were applied to analyze the micro-morphology and elemental composition of samples. To identify the product phases, X-ray diffraction （XRD） was engaged. The test results showed that compressive strength and thermal coefficient were reduced with the increasing of aluminum powder within the mixtures. As a result the optimal thermal coefficient and compressive strength of samples were improved to 0.061.W/（m·k） and 1.2 MPa, respectively. SEM, EDX and XRD analyses showed that calcium silicate hydrate and tobermorite crystal were main resultant phases.

Objective To analyze the trend of change in semen quality of Chinese healthy men over recent 25 years. Methods A total of 1.5 reports were collected on quality inspection of semen of healthy Chinese men between 1.85-2009 through literature search, which involved 23.126 persons from 69 counties and cities. Trend of change in semen parameters was analyzed by linear regression model and rank sum test. Results Sperm concentration and non-progressive motility （c%） declined, and the linear equation was of statistics value. linear equations include y=2.968-0. 004x （P〈0.05） and y=3.204-0.026x （P〈0.05）. As the results of K-S rank sum test showed, the difference of sperm concentration and total sperm count in the three groups, i.e., the group for 1.85-1.89, the group for 1.90-1.99 and the group for 2000-2009 was of statistics value. Conclusion The semen concentration decline over recent 25 years （P〈0.05）. of healthy Chinese men appears a possible

Effect of heparin on apoptosis in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma CNE2 cells

Based on a theoretical model for quasi-one-dimensional polymer. the kink distortion in a π-conjugated carbon chain with a single radical. which contains an unpaired electron. is investigated. when the hopping integral between the main chain and the side radical is larger than it critical wahie. there exists a transition form the Peierls dimerization to a solitonlike Structure along the main chain. In addition. it is found that the up spin density at the dangling site has been (?)ransferred to the main chain. while the down spln density of the main chain is transferred to the side radieal due to the hopping mediated interaction between the main chain and side radical.

In order to study the mechanism of the effect of heparin on apoptosis in carcinoma cells, the nasopha- ryngeal carcinoma cell line CNE2 was used to identify the effect of heparin on apoptosis associated with the expression of c-myc,bax, bcl-2 proteins by use of Hoechst 33258 staining, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferasemediated dUTP nick-end labeling (TUNEl), agarose gel electrophoresis, and flow cytometry, as well as Western blot analysis. The results showed that heparin induced apoptosis of cNE2 cens including the morphologic changes such as reduction in the volume, and the nuclear chromatin condensation, as well as the 'ladder pattern' revealed by agarose gel electrophoresis of DNA in a concentration-dependent manner. The number of TUNEl-positive cells was dramatically increased to 33.6+1.2% from 2.8+0.3% by treat- ment with heparin in different concentrations (1.~40 kU/l). The apoptotic index was increased to 32.5% from 3.5% by detecting SubG1.peaks on flow cytometry. Western blot analysis showed that levels of bcl-2, bax and c-myc were significantly overexpressed by treatment with the increase of heparin concentrations. These results suggest that heparin induces apoptosis of CNE2 cells, which may be regulated by differential expression of apoptosis-related genes.

Chloride solid electrolytes(SEs)have attracted widespread attention due to their high room-temperature ionic conductivity and excellent cathode ***,the conventionally selected central metal elements(e.g.,In,Y and Ta)are usually rare and heavy,inevitably causing the high cost and high density of the obtained chloride ***,by choosing abundant and light Mg and Al as central metal elements,we develop a cheap and low density li_(1.2)Mg_(0.95)Al_(0.3)Cl_(4)SE for high active material ratio in all solid state *** replacement of Mg^(2+)by Al^(3+)in the framework yields vacancies and lowers the non-lithium metal ions occupancy at Mg/li co-occupied 1.d site,effectively relieving the blocking effects by Mg^(2+)in the pristine spinel li_(2-2x)Mg_(1.x)Cl_(4).Thus,a significantly improved room-temperature conductivity of 3.08×1.^(-4)S·cm^(-1.is achieved,two orders of magnitude higher than that of li_(1.2)Mg_(1.4)Cl_(4).More attractively,its low density of only 1.98 g·cm-3 enables low SE mass ratio in cathodes(only 1. wt.%)with still effective electrolyte/cathode contact and lithium-ion conduction *** charged to potential of 4.30 V,the asfabricated li_(1.2)Mg_(0.95)Al_(0.3)Cl_(4)-based solid lithium battery with uncoated NCM523 cathode can be cycled for over 1.0 cycles with a capacity retention of 86.68%at room temperature.
