Flavonoids from mulberry leaves inhibit fat production and improve fatty acid distribution in adipose tissue in finishing pigs

This study evaluated the effects of flavonoids from mulberry leaves(FML)on plasma biochemical indices,serum activities of lipid metabolism-related enzymes,fat morphology,fatty acid composition,and lipid metabolism in different adipose tissues of finishing *** used 120 Chinese hybrid barrows of Berkshire and Bama mini-pigs with an average initial body weight of 45.11±4.23 *** pigs were randomly assigned to five treatment groups and fed a control diet based on corn,soybean meal,and wheat bran or a control diet supplemented with 0.02%,0.04%,0.08%,or 0.16%*** experimental group had six replicates(pens),with four pigs per *** a 7-d adaptation period,the feeding trial was conducted for 58 *** and adipose tissue samples were collected from 30 pigs(one pig per pen)at the end of the *** results showed that FML supplementation significantly decreased the feed intake to body gain ratio,the plasma concentrations of total cholesterol and free fatty acids,and the serum activity of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase(linear or quadratic effects,Phe plasma triglyceride concentration(quadratic,P=0.07).Increasing FML supplementation increased the average daily gain and serum activities of lipoprotein lipase(linear and quadratic effects,Phe adipocyte area in the dorsal subcutaneous adipose(DSA)tissue of finishing pigs(linear,P=0.05)and increased the adipocyte area in the visceral adipose tissue(quadratic,Phe C20:1 content in DSA,abdominal subcutaneous adipose,and visceral adipose tissues of finishing pigs(Phe C18:3n3 and n-3 PUFA contents(Phe lipid metabolism genes were regulated by the PPARγ-LXRa-ABCA1 signaling pathway,and their expressions differed in different adipose *** findings suggest that FML improved growth performance,regulated lipid met

FaSnRK1a mediates salicylic acid pathways to enhance strawberry resistance to Botrytis cinerea

Sustainable Intensification and Large-scale Operation of Cultivated Land Use at the Farmers’ Scale:A Case Study of Shandong Province,China

Sustainable intensification of cultivated land use(SICLU) and large-scale operations(LSO) are widely acknowledged strategies for enhancing agricultural ***,the existing literature has faced challenges in precisely defining SICLU and constructing comprehensive indicators,which has hindered the exploration of factors influencing LSO within the SICLU *** address this gap,we integrated self-efficacy theory into the design of an index framework for evaluating *** subsequently employed econometric models to analyze the significant factors that impact *** findings reveal that SICLU can be divided into four key dimensions:intensive management,efficient output,resource conservation,and ecological environment ***,it is crucial to incorporate belief-based cognitive factors into the index system,as farmers’ understanding of fertilizer and pesticide application significantly influences their willingness to engage in ***,we identify grain market turnover as the most influential factor in promoting LSO,with single-factor contribution rates reaching 70.9% for cultivated land transfer willingness and 62.5% for the total planting ***,unlike irrigation and agricultural machinery inputs,increased labor inputs correspond to larger planting areas for *** trend may be attributed to reduced labor availability because of rural labor migration,whereas the reduction in irrigation and agricultural input is contingent on innovations in production practices and the transfer of cultivated land management ***,SICLU dynamically influences LSO,with each index related to SICLU having an optimal range that fosters *** insights offer valuable guidance for policymakers,emphasizing farmers as their central focus,with the adjustment of input and output factors as a means to achieve LSO as the ultimate *** conclusion,we propose research avenues for further enriching the SICLU framework to ensur

Existing streamflow reconstructions based on tree-ring analysis mostly rely on species from upland,mainly montane areas,while lowland species(generally plain)areas are rarely *** limits the understanding of streamflow change history in the lowlands,which is an important basis for water resource *** study focused on Populus euphratica stands located along the main stream,eastern and western tributaries in the lower reaches of the heihe River basin(HRb),in arid northwestern *** investigated how streamflow regulation interferes with ripar-ian trees in lowlands when they used for streamflow ***-ring width chronologies were developed and analyzed in conjunction with meteorological and hydrologic observation *** results show streamflow regulation leads in sharp fluctuations in the streamflow allocation between the eastern tributaries and western *** resulted in instability of the correlation between streamflow at the two tributaries and at the Zhengyixia hydrologic station,with corresponding fluctuations in radial growth of poplar trees on the banks of the two tributaries and at the *** regulation altered the natural patterns of seasonal streamflow below the station,changing the time window of poplar *** study provides useful insight into tree-ring width based streamflow reconstruction in the lowlands.

Utilizing delayed expansion cemented paste backfill materials(DECPB) in mine backfill operations offers an effective solution to the challenge of achieving proper contact between the in-situ cemented backfill mass and the roof in mined-out areas(backfill-roof contact).This article presents recent progress in both theoretical and experimental research concerning *** types and mechanisms of expansive additives,including expansive agents,foaming agents,and expansive mineral materials relevant to DECPB,are explained,along with their impact on the expansive properties and mechanical characteristics of *** composition,material characteristics,preparation methods,and controlled release mechanisms of microcapsules are *** methods for measuring the volume change rate of paste backfill slurries are *** indicates that an appropriate content of expansive additives not only enhances the expansive properties of cemented paste backfill materials but also contributes to improving their mechanical *** foaming agents and bentonite are found to be more suitable for preparing DECPB compared to expansive *** delayed expansion of cemented paste backfill material is influenced by microcapsules,with their wall materials,preparation parameters,and the alkaline slurry environment affecting their controlled release *** and optimizing precise measurement devices and methods forfor the volume change rate of cemented paste backfill materials is essential requirement for studying the performance of *** delayed expansion technology with retarding techniques in cemented paste backfill materials can provide a reliable solution for achieving proper backfill-roof contact in the future.

Effects of cooling rate on microstructure and microhardness of directionally solidified Galvalume alloy

The influences of cooling rate on the phase constitution,microstructural length scale,and microhardness of directionally solidified Galvalume(Zn-55Al-1.6Si)alloy were investigated by directional solidification experiments at different withdrawal speeds(5,10,20,50,100,200,and 400μm·s^(-1)).The results show that the microstructure of directionally solidified Galvalume alloys is composed of primary Al dendrites,Si-rich phase and(Zn-Al-Si)ternary eutectics at the withdrawal speed ranging from 5 to 400μm·s^(-1).As the withdrawal speed increases,the segregation of Si element intensifies,resulting in an increase in the area fraction of the Si-rich *** addition,the primary Al dendrites show significant refinement with an increase in the withdrawal *** relationship between the primary dendrite arm spacing(λ_(1))and the thermal parameters of solidification is obtained:λ_(1)=127.3V^(-0.31).Moreover,as the withdrawal speed increases from 5 to 400μm·s^(-1),the microhardness of the alloy increases from 90 HV to 151 *** is a combined effect of grain refinement and second-phase strengthening.

Ultrahigh strength and improved electrical conductivity in an aging strengthened copper alloy processed by combination of equal channel angular pressing and thermomechanical treatment

In this paper,equal channel angular pressing and thermomechanical treatment was employed to improve the strength and electrical conductivity of an aging strengthened Cu-Ti-Cr-Mg alloy,and the microstructure and properties of the alloy were investigated in *** results showed that the samples deformed by the combination of cryogenic equal channel angular pressing(ECAP)and rolling had good comprehensive properties after aging at 400℃.The tensile strength of the peak-aged and over-aged samples was 1120 MPa and 940 MPa,with their corresponding electrical conductivity of 14.7%IACS and 22.1%IACS,*** and cryogenic rolling introduced high density dislocations,leading to the inhibition of the softening effects and refinement of the *** a long time aging at 400℃,the alloy exhibited ultra-high strength with obvious increasing electrical *** high strength was attributed to the synergistic effect of work hardening,grain refinement strengthening and precipitation *** precipitation of a large amount of Ti atoms from the matrix led to the high electrical conductivity of the over-aged sample.

In the era of precision medicine,it has been increasingly recognized that individuals with a certain disease are complex and different from each *** to the underestimation of the significant heterogeneity across participants in traditional"one-sizefits-all"trials,patient-centered trials that could provide optimal therapy customization to individuals with specific biomarkers were developed including the basket,umbrella,and platform trial designs under the master protocol *** recent years,the successive FDA approval of indications based on biomarker-guided master protocol designs has demonstrated that these new clinical trials are ushering in tremendous *** the rapid increase in the number of basket,umbrella,and platform trials,the current clinical and research understanding of these new trial designs,as compared with traditional trial designs,remains *** majority of the research focuses on methodologies,and there is a lack of in-depth insight concerning the underlying biological logic of these new clinical trial ***,we provide this comprehensive review of the discovery and development of basket,umbrella,and platform trials and their underlying logic from the perspective of precision ***,we discuss future directions on the potential development of these new clinical design in view of the"Precision Pro","Dynamic Precision",and"Intelligent Precision".This review would assist trial-related researchers to enhance the innovation and feasibility of clinical trial designs by expounding the underlying logic,which be essential to accelerate the progression of precision medicine.
