Water sources for typical desert vegetation in the Ebinur Lake basin

In arid and semi-arid environments,desert vegetation plays an important role in preventing soil erosion by wind and helps maintain the stability of desert and oasis *** types of typical desert vegetation,namely Populus euphratica,Haloxylon ammodendron,Nitraria sibirica,and Halostachs caspica,corresponding to different habitats(i.e.,river bank,sand dune,desert,and salt marsh)were chosen as the model vegetation in this ***δ^(2)H andδ^(18)O for rainwater,soil water,and plant water were applied to identify the water sources and quantify the proportions of different water sources used over the entire plant growth period(from March to October).The results showed that the precipitationδ^(2)H andδ^(18)O in the Ebinur Lake basin varied from-142.5‰to-0.6‰and from-20.16‰to 1.20‰,*** largestδ^(2)H andδ^(18)O values occurred in summer and the smallest in *** soil waterδ^(2)H andδ^(18)O of the four habitats decreased gradually with increasing ***δ^(2)H andδ^(18)O values of water extracted from the stems of the four plants had similar variation trends,that is,the maximum was observed in spring and the minimum in *** the four plants,*** had the highest stable isotopic values in the stem water,followed by ***,***,and *** water sources and utilization ratios of desert vegetation varied across different growth *** the growing period,*** mainly used groundwater,whereas the water source proportions used by *** varied greatly throughout the growing *** spring,plants mainly relied on surface soil water,with a contribution rate of 80%-94%.However,in summer,the proportion of deep soil water used was 31%-36%;and in autumn,the proportion of middle soil water used was 33%-36%.*** mainly relied on topsoil water in spring and autumn,and the proportion of soil water in the middle layer slightly increased to 20%-36%in *** mainly used intermediate so

Self-powered glucose biosensor(SPGB)is of great interest due to the advantages including single configuration,good stability and particularly no need of external power ***,a mediator-free SPGB with high sensitivity and good selectivity is constructed based on a hybrid enzymatic biofuel cell(EBFC)composed of a glucose oxidase/cobalt phthalocyanine/1-pyrenebutyric acid/buckypaper(GOD/CoPc/PBA/BP)bioanode and a MnO_(2)/PBA/BP capacitive *** efficient electron transfer from GOD to electrodes is achieved successfully through the anode oxidation of hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)),one nature product of glucose oxidation catalyzed by GOD,thus avoiding the potential drawbacks posed by the use of redox *** servers as an efficient catalyst to lower the anode potential required by the reaction of H_(2)O_(2) to 0.17 *** MnO_(2)/PBA/BP capacitive cathode is utilized because it can not only provide a high discharge potential and adequate capacitance to match the bioanode well,but also exhibit no potential interference to the anodic *** concentration of glucose can be detected simply by measuring the output of the SPGB and a wide linear detection range from 0.5 to 8 mM has been obtained with high sensitivities of 48.66 and 32.12μA·cm^(−2)·mM^(−1) with and without stirring,*** recoveries of glucose in grape juice and human serum are in the range from 99.5%to 101.2%with the relative standard deviation(RSD)less than 8%,indicating the good promise of the SPGB in sensing glucose in real samples.

We prove a global estimate in the Sobolev spaces with variable exponents to the solution of a class of higher-order divergence parabolic equations with measurable coefficients over the non-smooth ***,it is mainly assumed that the coefficients are allowed to be merely measurable in one of the spatial variables and have a small BMO quasi-norm in the other variables at a sufficiently small scale,while the boundary of the underlying domain belongs to the so-called Reifenberg *** is a natural outgrowth of Dong-Kim-Zhang’s papers[1,2]from the W^(m,p)-regularity to the W^(m,p(t,x))-regularity for such higher-order parabolic equations with merely measurable coefficients with Reifenberg flat domain which is beyond the Lipschitz domain with small Lipschitz constant.

In the face of a significant public health event,consumers may either increase their panic buying or decrease their willingness to make *** study focuses on the impact of a significant public health event on offline store sales and consumer consumption,utilizing data from chain convenience stores in Hefei and Wuhu during early 2019 and early 2020 in *** a difference-in-differences model,the study investigates the effect of the significant public health event outbreak on weekly store sales,order numbers,and consumer consumption in terms of product quantities,transaction amount,average amount per order,and transaction *** from prior literature that finds hoarding behavior of consumers online,the findings of this paper indicate a significant reduction in stores’offline weekly sales and order numbers,as well as consumers’offline weekly consumption across the four dimensions,as a result of the significant public health event ***,employing a mediation model,the study explores the pathway of population mobility through which the significant public health event adversely affects offline ***,subset analysis is conducted for stores located in different areas and consumers with varying characteristics,revealing that the aforementioned conclusions predominantly apply to stores situated in office areas and residential areas,as well as consumers with either no apparent preference for different product categories or a noticeable preference for food.

Objective To explore the association between socioeconomic status(SES)and postoperative outcomes in patients with chronic sinusitis(CRS)after functional endoscopic sinus surgery(ESS).Methods We conducted an observational cohort study of 1,047 patients with CRS undergoing *** patients were followed up to 72 weeks for all-cause recurrence *** SES was established based on occupation,education level,and family income of the patients 1 year before the ***–Meier method was used to calculate the recovery rate after ESS,and Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between SES and *** Patients of middle SES had lower unadjusted all-cause recurrence than those of low or high SES;24-week overall recovery rate was 90.4%[95%confidence interval(CI):89.6%–91.2%]in patients of middle SES,13.5%(95%CI:12.8%–14.2%)in patients of low SES,and 31.7%(95%CI:30.7%–32.7%)in patients of high SES(both log-rank P<0.001).After adjustment for covariates,hazard ratios(HRs)were7.69(95%CI:6.17–9.71,Ptrend<0.001)for all-cause recurrence for low SES versus middle SES,and 6.19(95%CI:4.78–7.93,Ptrend<0.001)for middle SES versus high *** Low SES and high SES were more associated with the worse prognosis of CRS patients after ESS than middle SES.

The intense research of lithium-ion batteries has been motivated by their successful applications in mobile devices and electronic *** emerging of intelligent control in kinds of devices brings new requirements for battery *** high-energy lithium batteries are expected to respond or react under different environmental *** this work,a tri-salt composite electrolyte is designed with a temperature switch function for intelligently temperature-controlled lithium ***,the halide Li_(3)YBr_(6)together with LiTFSI and LiNO_(3)works as active fillers in a low-melting-point polymer matrix(polyethyleneglycol dimethyl ether(PEGDME)and polyethylene oxide(PEO)),which is further filled into the pre-lithiated alumina fiber *** 60°C,the composite electrolyte exists in the liquid state and fully contacts with the working electrodes on the liquid–solid interface,effectively minimizing the interfacial resistance and leading to high discharge capacity in the *** electrolyte is changed into a solid state below 30°C so that the ionic conductivity is significantly reduced and the interface resistance is increased dramatically on the solid–solid ***,by simply adjusting the temperature,the cell can be turned“ON”or“OFF”*** novel function of the composite electrolyte has enlightening significance in developing intelligently temperature-controlled lithium batteries.
