An extended literature review has been conducted about nurses’ turnover, and how to retain the staff by applying appropriate human Resources theory in the healthcare organisation, to retain nurses and eliminate turnover. This is through exploring the human Resource Management issue related to nurses’ high turnover and the reason which is behind to leave their hospitals in Kuwait. Also, the study will critically examine the working nature and the issue behind nurses’ turnover. In addition, motivational theories will be used in this paper and will apply some strategies that can be used to avert the causes of the problem, to ensure that nurses are retained within their organisations. Aim: To enhance employee loyalty to their organisations and effectively retain nurses’ staff in X organisation, with a particular reference to human Resources Management. Methodology: Various literature, journals, articles, reports and books were reviewed to achieve the aim of this paper, specific consideration was given to the leadership. A relevant human Resources Theory was applied with leadership support to retain nurses in the organisation and to reduce nurses’ turnover. Findings: Leaders are important to develop a considerable retention strategy within the organisation, by increasing the nurse’s loyalty and satisfaction through different techniques such as policy and guidelines, motivating through allowances and leave, further changing the system. Recommendations: To provide extensive training to the leaders to enhance their skills in managing the organisation and staff. To overcome the issues that interfere with nurses’ satisfaction and solve the issues to retain the nurses.

The incidence of the adenocarcinoma of the esophagus (AC) has been rising exponentially in the Western World within the last 30 years. The reasons for this increase are not yet understood. Massive and long lasting gastroesophageal re?ux causes the Barrett’s esophagus which is considered to be a precancerosis. Therefore early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of gastroesophageal re?ux is essential for the prevention of this tumor. This makes heartburn the leading clinical symptom in the patient’s history. In patients with heartburn it is possible to early endoscopically diagnose a Barrett’s esophagus or adenocarcinoma of the esophagus. however only few patients with this increased risk receive an index-endoscopy. In clinical studies a high rate of early carcinomas could be found and could be treated with mucosectomie or ablation. The majority of patients with AC present with symptoms suggestive of progressed disease such as dysphagia or weight loss. The prognosis in patients in late disease stages are with a 5-year survival of only 30% far worse than in patients with early carcinoma (85%). however the early symptoms such as heartburn or regurgitation are unspeci?c and make an e?ective diagnostical strategy di?cult. To optimize screening it would be bene?cial to identify patients with high risk for the development of adenocarcinoma of the esophagus.

Introduction: Thumb carpometacarpal joint arthritis can cause significant pain and limitation in activity. Patients who are unable to obtain symptomatic relief from anti-inflammatories, splinting, and cortisone injections may be indicated for surgical treatment. The earliest form of surgical intervention was trapeziectomy alone;since, numerous adjunctive procedures have evolved. In this study, we conduct a literature review comparing outcomes of simple trapeziectomy to other interventions for thumb carpometacarpal arthritis. Methods: A literature search using the PubMed/Medline database was conducted. Inclusion criteria were the following: 1) the study was a primary study written in English, 2) treatment options were surgical and compared trapeziectomy with other forms of surgical treatment for thumb carpometacarpal arthritis, 3) the study was a randomized controlled trial, 4) the study included outcomes such as pain, physical function, range of motion, and/or strength. Included studies were then compiled into a table for further review. Results: 11 studies met inclusion criteria. All studies were randomized controlled trials and demonstrated level II evidence. Surgical procedures in these studies included ligament reconstruction and tendon interposition (LRTI), flexor carpi radialis suspension, carpometacarpal joint denervation, and carpometacarpal joint arthroplasty. No significant differences were found between trapeziectomy alone versus adjunctive surgical procedures when comparing patient-reported outcomes, patient satisfaction, range of motion, grip strength, and key/tip pinch strength with follow-up ranging from 1 year to 18 years post-operative. Discussion/Conclusions: In our review of the evidence, we find no significant differences in patient-reported outcomes, patient satisfaction, range of motion, grip strength, and key/tip pinch strength both in the short- and long-term post-operative periods. Forestry conditions differ among regions and nations. Moreover, labor costs, forestry mechanization, and environmental impacts are also different. These factors directly or indirectly influence the ergonomic state of nations. The ergonomic state of a nation can be described in terms of ergonomic factors such as labor productivity, work accidents, physiological burden, and stress. Labor productivity and work accidents can be defined as income or condition factors, and physiological burden and stress as outcome or result factors. Thus, the value of outcome factors must be examined in relationship to income factors. On the ergonomic spectrum, each factor can be conceived as a continuum from a negative to a positive ergonomic status. All factors can be set in a line, and the present state of each nation is indicated by a profile formed by the assembled factors. The locations of nations along the two-dimensional coordinates of the world standard can be realized by an ergonomic spectrum. Moreover, future directions for improvement can be obtained by reference to the three-dimensional coordinates, which include the axis of time.

Myc and p53 proteins are closely associated with many physiological cellular functions,including immune response and lymphocyte survival,and are expressed in the lymphoid organs,which are sites for the development and activation of B-cell *** alterations and other mechanisms resulting in constitutive activation,rearrangement,or mutation of MYC and TP53 contribute to the development of lymphomas,progression and therapy resistance by gene dysregulation,activation of downstream anti-apoptotic pathways,and unfavorable microenvironment *** cross-talk between the Myc and p53 proteins contributes to the inferior prognosis in many types of B-cell *** this review,we present the physiological roles of Myc and p53 proteins,and recent advances in understanding the pathological roles of Myc,p53,and their cross-talk in lymphoid *** addition,we highlight clinical trials of novel agents that directly or indirectly inhibit Myc and/or p53 protein functions and their signaling ***,to date,these trials have failed to overcome drug resistance,the new results have highlighted the clinical efficiency of targeting diverse mechanisms of action with the goal of optimizing novel therapeutic opportunities to eradicate lymphoma cells.

Ephemeral and perennial streams of mountainous catchments in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka and hong Kong of China were studied for two years on vegetation *** year,sampling was conducted during a period when ephemeral streams had low surface *** was realized contiguously using belt *** standing crop biomass(hereafter biomass)of herbaceous vegetation in ephemeral channels was comparatively lower than perennials and so was the herb *** diversity showed a peak from 1.5 to 4.5 m from the centerline/thalweg of ephemeral and perennial *** of 24 herbs,only three were common for both.A peak herb biomass zone was observed in perennials in the same region where diversity *** ephemerals,herb biomass increased laterally up to^1.5 m,and was constant *** experiment results tallied with the field diversity observations of both stream types,and suggested that seed dispersion was the main reason for herb ***,it showed sapling emergence to be significantly higher in perennials than *** period of annual maximum monthly rainfall was a strong indicator of age of trees in ephemeral streams,and elucidated the possibility of hindcasting past flow *** conductivity was significantly high in ephemeral streams among all the water quality *** contents of the water nutrients were approximately the same in both stream *** recommending further studies on eco-hydrology of ephemerals,we recognize ephemeral streams to be valuable references in climate change studies due to their responsiveness and representativeness in long term hydrological changes.
