This work constitutes the first contribution for the systematisation of geological heritage knowledge in Portugal, following the international recommendations for the characterisation of geological heritage （IUGS, ProGEO）. The application of the ProGEO methodology has resulted in the creation of fourteen frameworks with international relevance, established by consensus among the Portuguese geological community. The description of each category in this paper is not exhaustive and only the most relevant scientific settings are presented. The following are the three key outcomes of this work： i） At a national level, the most important geosites are identified, indicating where geoconservation efforts should be prioritised based on scientific justification; ii） At a regional level, conditions have been developed to foster dialogue with Spanish colleagues in order to create Iberian frameworks; iii） At an international level, it is now possible to integrate Portuguese geosites into the global inventories promoted by IUGS, UNESCO, and ProGEO.

BACKGROUND Although breast milk is ideal for newborns,in some cases,it is replaced with cow’s milk,which contains proteins that increase the risk of cow’s milk protein allergy(CmPA).AIm To evaluate CmPA prevalence in Bahrain and compare clinical characteristics of children with immunoglobulin E(IgE)-and non-IgE-mediated *** This retrospective cohort study examined children with CmPA diagnosed at the pediatric gastroenterology outpatient clinic of the Salmaniya medical Complex,Bahrain,between 2014 and 2022,and assessed CmPA *** presentations,laboratory findings,dietary modifications,and outcomes were compared between children with IgE-mediated and non-IgE-mediated *** variables were compared using Fisher’s exact test or Pearson’sχ2 test,whereas continuous variables were compared using Student’s t-test or the mann-Whitney U *** Of 8332 patients,6022(72.3%)adhered to their *** th.m.618(10.3%)were suggested of having CmPA and 595(96.3%)were included;CmPA prevalence was 2%.most patients were Bahraini(93.8%)and males(55.3%).Non-IgE-mediated type accounted for 77.3%cases and IgE-mediated type,22.7%.IgE-mediated CmPA presented more in boys(P=0.030),and later in life(5.1 months±4.5 months vs 4.2 months±4.2 months,P=0.016,95%CI:0.08-1.73),had more associated diseases(Ph.m.re cutaneous(P=0.024)and respiratory(P=0.003)manifestations,severe symptoms[rash/dry skin(P=0.031),facial swelling/angioedema(P=0.003),failure to thrive(P=0.013),apparent life-threatening event(Physical findings(P=0.002)than non-IgE-mediated *** patients were exclusively fed cow milk formula(50.3%).The amino acid-based formula(AAF)was most prescribed(60.5%)with no difference between the two types(P=0.173).Although breastfeeding was recommended to 49.6%,only 8.2%were exclusively ***-mediated CmPA was associated with a longer follow-up duration than non-IgE-mediated CmPA(17.3 months±14.0 mo

The two-parameter formulae, i.e. the nuclear softness formula and the power index formula, have been used to obtain the band head spin （I0） of the triaxial superdeformed （SD） bands in ^163Lu（1,2,3,4）, ^164Lu（1,2,3） and ^165Lu（1,2,3）, in the A - 160 mass region. The least squares fitting approach is used. The values of the root mean square （RmS） deviation among the computed and the measured experimental transition energies are obtained by calculating the model parameters. Whenever accurate spins are available, superb agreement is shown between the determined and the measured experimental transition energies. In comparison to the power index formula, the values of band head spin （I0） of the triaxial SD bands in ^163Lu（1,2,3,4）, ^164Lu（1,2,3） and ^165Lu（1,2,3） obtained by the nuclear softness formula are closer to the experimental data. The lowest RmS deviation is also achieved by the nuclear softness formula. hence, the nuclear softness formula works well for obtaining the band head spin （I0） for the triaxial SD bands in ^163Lu（1,2,3,4）, ^164Lu（1,2,3） and ^165Lu（1,2,3） in the A-160 mass region. The dynamic moment of inertia against hω is also studied.

Background Ovarian follicular fluid(FF)is a dynamic environment that changes with the seasons,affecting follicle development,ovulation,and oocyte *** in the follicles release tiny particles called extracellular vesicles(EVs)containing vital regulatory molecules,such as microRNAs(miRNAs).These miRNAs are pivotal in facilitating commu-nication within the follicles through diverse signaling and information transfer ***-coupled miRNA signaling is implicated to be associated with ovarian function,follicle and oocyte growth and response to various environmen-tal ***,we investigated how seasonal variations directly influence the ovulatory and anovulatory states of ovarian follicles and how are they associated with follicular fluid EV-coupled miRNA dynamics in *** Ultrasonographic monitoring and follicular fluid aspiration of preovulatory follicles in horses during the ano-vulatory(spring:non-breeding)and ovulatory(spring,summer,and fall:breeding)seasons and subsequent EV isola-tion and miRNA profiling identified significant variation in EV-miRNA cargo *** identified 97 miRNAs with dif-ferential expression among the groups and specific clusters of miRNAs involved in the spring transition(miR-149,-200b,-206,-221,-328,and-615)and peak breeding period(including miR-143,-192,-451,-302b,-100,and let-7c).Bioinformatic analyses showed enrichments in various biological functions,e.g.,transcription factor activity,transcrip-tion and transcription regulation,nucleic acid binding,sequence-specific DNA binding,p53 signaling,and post-trans-lational *** analyses revealed distinct sets of significantly up-and down-regulated miRNAs associ-ated with spring anovulatory(Cluster 1)and summer ovulation–the peak breeding season(Clusters 4 and 6).Conclusions The findings from the current study shed light on the dynamics of FF-EV-coupled miRNAs in relation to equine ovulatory and anovulatory seasons,and their roles in understanding the

The experimental rotational spectra of superdeformed（SD） bands of 130La, 131Ce（1,2）, 132Ce（1,2,3） and133 Ce（1,2,3） in the A～130 mass region are systematically analyzed with the four parameter formula, power index formula, nuclear softness formula, and VmI model. It is observed that out of all the formulae, the four parameter formula suits best for the study of the 130La, 131Ce（1,2）, 132Ce（2,3） and 133Ce（1,2,3） SD bands. The four parameter formula works efficiently in determining the band head spin of the 130La, 131Ce（1,2） 132Ce（2,3） and 133Ce（1,2,3） SD bands. Good agreement is seen between the calculated and observed transition energies whenever the accurate spin is assigned. In 132Ce（1）, the power index formula is found to work better than the other three formulae. The dynamic moment of inertia is also calculated for all the formulae and its variation with the rotational frequency is investigated.

1. IntroductionChina is entering an impressive era of grain production since its reform and opening up in 1978. At present, China feeds 22% of the world population with only 9% of the world＇s arable land [1]. Thus, China has become a leader in the global fight against hunger[2] . Grain production has increased dramatically, from about 3 × 10^8t in 1978 to 6.21 × 10^8t in 2016, which is an annual increase rate of 9% [3].

Agricultural practices significantly contribute to greenhouse gas(GhG)emissions,necessitating cleaner production technologies to reduce environmental pressure and achieve sustainable maize *** film mulching is commonly used in the Loess Plateau *** slow-release fertilizers as a replacement for urea within this practice can reduce nitrogen losses and enhance crop *** these techniques represents a novel agricultural approach in semi-arid ***,the impact of this integration on soil carbon storage(SOCS),carbon footprint(CF),and economic benefits has received limited research ***,we conducted an eight-year study(2015-2022)in the semi-arid northwestern region to quantify the effects of four treatments[urea supplied without plastic film mulching(CK-U),slow-release fertilizer supplied without plastic film mulching(CK-S),urea supplied with plastic film mulching(Pm-U),and slow-release fertilizer supplied with plastic film mulching(Pm-S)]on soil fertility,economic and environmental *** results revealed that nitrogen fertilizer was the primary contributor to total GhG emissions(≥71.97%).Compared to other treatments,Pm-S increased average grain yield by 12.01%-37.89%,water use efficiency by 9.19%-23.33%,nitrogen accumulation by 27.07%-66.19%,and net return by 6.21%-29.57%.Furthermore,Pm-S decreased CF by 12.87%-44.31%and CF per net return by 14.25%-41.16%.After eight years,Pm-S increased SOCS(0-40 cm)by 2.46%,while Pm-U decreased it by 7.09%.These findings highlight the positive effects of Pm-S on surface soil fertility,economic gains,and environmental benefits in spring maize production on the Loess Plateau,underscoring its potential for widespread adoption and application.

A novel semi-solid slurry-making process was developed, which was a controlled nucleation and growth technique using a specially designed rotational barrel. Experimental study was undertaken to investigate the effects of pouring temperature and rotation speed of barrel on the microstructure of A356 alloy. Localized rapid cooling, combined with vigorous mixing during the initial stage of solidification enhanced wall nucleation and nuclei survival. high nuclei density combined with a much gradual cooling afterwards led to the formation of the near-ideal semi-solid slurry under a large processing window for the pouring temperature. Primal. phase presented in mean equivalent diameter of 50-701μm and shape factor of 0.812-0.847, and featured zero-entrapped eutectic.
