Endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) is increasing utilized in the setting of liver transplantation for a number of post-operative related biliary issues. Although ERCP represents an excellent technology, it is not without attendant risk including sepsis, bleeding and perforation. In this case report, the first of its kind, is described the occurrence of a migrated biliary stent induced duodenal-colic fistula formation in a liver transplantation patient who had required dual biliary stenting given post-operative biliary structuring. The placement of dual stents and their size are likely implicated in the cause of perforation. The enteric anatomy and the medical immunosuppression likely contributed to a delay in diagnosis and worse outcome.

In this study, novel nickel oxide (NiO) flowers like nanostructures were fabricated onto gold coated glass substrate by hydrothermal method using high alkaline ph medium. The structural study of nickel oxide nanostructures was performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEm) and X-ray differaction (XRD) techniques. Nickel oxide nanostructures are highly dense, uniform and possess good crystalline quality. The so prepared structures were investigated for their electrochemical properties by cyclic voltammetry and amperometric techniques. The nickel oxide flower like morphology has shown good electrochemical performances for the oxidation of glucose. The presented sensing material was able to detected glucose in a wide range of concentration of 0.001 mm to 8 mm with a high sensitivity (123 μmA/mm) and regression coefficient of 0.99. moreover, the NiO nanostructures based sensor is highly reproducible, stable, exhibiting a fast response time and selective in the response. All the obtained results indicate the potential use of this material in the development of enzyme free sensors for the detection of glucose.

Cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea) is an allotetraploid crop planted in Asia, Africa, and America for edible oil and protein. To explore the origins and consequences of tetraploidy, we sequenced the allotetraploid A. hypogaea genome and compared it with the related diploid Arachis duranensis and Arachis ipaensis genomes. We annotated 39 888 A-subgenome genes and 41 526 B-subgenome genes in allotetraploid peanut. The A. hypogaea subgenomes have evolved asymmetrically, with the B subgenome resembling the ancestral state and the A subgenome undergoing more gene disruption, loss, conversion, and transposable element proliferation, and having reduced gene expression during seed development despite lacking genome-wide expression dominance. Genomic and transcriptomic analyses identified more than 2 500 oil metabolism-related genes and revealed that most of them show altered expression early in seed development while their expression ceases during desiccation, presenting a comprehensive map of peanut lipid biosynthesis. The availability of these genomic resources will facilitate a better understanding of the complex genome architecture, agronomically and economically important genes, and genetic improvement of peanut.

＜正＞mitten-crab-culture in Chinese lakes is undergoing reduction in profitability inasmuch as natural food sources are being over-exploited by heavy stocking. With purpose for sustainable crab fisheries, we carried out a study on empirical modelling of crab yield in 20 farms of 4 Yangtze lakes. The results show that submersed macrophytes is the key factor affecting crab yield （CY, kg/ha）. hence, macrophyte bio-mass in winter and spring （ WBmac, SBmac, g/m2）, the time of stocking, is used as the driving variable to generate models:

AIm: To investigate the impact of mucin production on prognosis in colorectal cancer, in terms of overall survival (OS) and time to disease progression (TTP) in patients with mucinous compared to those with non-mucinous colorectal cancer (NmCRC), matched for age, gender, and tumor ***: Thirty five patients with mucinous colorectal cancer (mCRC) were matched for age, gender, and tumor stage with 35 controls having NmCRC. OS and TTP were compared among 4 groups divided according to mucin content: group A (50%-75% mucin), group B (75%-100% mucin), group C or controls (mucin). Group D consisted of all patients with tumors having mucin (controls and groups A together).RESULTS: median survival in mCRC and NmCRC groups was 46.2 and 112.9 mo, respectively (P = 0.26). OS in groups A and B was 70.1 and 32.8 mo (P = 0.46), and in groups B and D was 32.8 and 70.1 mo, respectively (P = 0.143). TTP in mCRC and NmCRC was 50.17 and 44.77 mo, respectively (P = 0.795). TTP in groups A, B, and D was 70.1, 24.8, and 65.5 mo, respectively. Twenty-eight percent of patients with mCRC had poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma versus 8.6% in NmCRC patients (P = 0.028).CONCLUSION: mCRC is associated with a non-significant decrease in median survival and TTP, particularlywhen mucin content is > 75% of tumor volume. however, it tends to be more poorly differentiated. A larger study matching for stage and grade is needed.

A transjugular intrahepatic portal-systemic shunt (TIPS) is a standard way to decompress the portal system in cirrhotic patients as a bridge to orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). Traditionally, TIPS has been indicated for certain portal hypertensive sequelae such as refractory ascites, varices treatment and even hepato-hydrothorax. herein is a case report on the efficacy of TIPS in an OLT ineligible patient with primary biliary cirrhosis and aplastic anemia who had developed refractive ascites requiring serial paracentesis and esophageal varices. he survived 2.5 years post-TIPS placement and died from complications related to severe leucopenia and the development of sepsis.
