To the Editor： A 76-year-old woman presented with palpable masses in her right breast and right forearm. Physical examination revealed a 5-cm-sized mass in the lower outer quadrant of the right breast and a hard, fixed mass, measuring 4 cm in the right forearm. Mammography revealed a round, obscured, hyperdense mass without microcalcifications.

Typically, magnesium alloys have been designed using a so-called hill-climbing approach, with rather incremental advances over the past century. Iterative and incremental alloy design is slow and expensive, but more importantly it does not harness all the data that exists in the field. In this work, a new approach is proposed that utilises data science and provides a detailed understanding of the data that exists in the field of Mg-alloy design to date. In this approach, first a consolidated alloy database that incorporates 916 datapoints was developed from the literature and experimental work. To analyse the characteristics of the database, alloying and thermomechanical processing effects on mechanical properties were explored via composition-process-property matrices. An unsupervised machine learning(Ml) method of clustering was also implemented, using unlabelled data, with the aim of revealing potentially useful information for an alloy representation space of low dimensionality. In addition, the alloy database was correlated to thermodynamically stable secondary phases to further understand the relationships between microstructure and mechanical properties. This work not only introduces an invaluable open-source database, but it also provides, for the first-time data, insights that enable future accelerated digital Mg-alloy design.

A seamless and lossless transition of the constitutive description of the elastic response of materials between atomic and continuum scales has been so far *** we show how this problem can be overcome by using artificial intelligence(AI).A convolutional neural network(CNN)model is trained,by taking the structure image of a nanoporous material as input and the corresponding elasticity tensor,calculated from molecular statics(MS),as *** with the atomistic data,the CNN model captures the size-and pore-dependency of the material’s elastic properties which,on the physics side,derive from its intrinsic stiffness as well as from surface relaxation and non-local *** demonstrate the accuracy and the efficiency of the trained CNN model,a finite element method(FEM)-based result of an elastically deformed nanoporous beam equipped with the CNN as constitutive law is compared with that obtained by a full atomistic *** trained CNN model predicts the elasticity tensor in the test dataset with a root-mean-square error of 2.4 GPa(3.0%of the bulk modulus)when compared to atomistic *** the other hand,the CNN model is about 230 times faster than the MS calculation and does not require changing simulation methods between different *** efficiency of the CNN evaluation together with the preservation of important atomistic effects makes the trained model an effective atomistically informed constitutive model for macroscopic simulations of nanoporous materials,optimization of nanostructures,and the solution of inverse problems.

In this work, a novel series of multiferroic materials BiMn2O5doped by Neodyme has been prepared by a sol-gel method at low temperature. The crystallographic studies using X-ray diffraction and Rietveld Refinement techniques showed the formation of single-phase samples for all compositions, crystallizing in a mullite-type orthorhombic perovskite structure, space group Pbam(Z = 4). The SEM techniques confirmed the formation of single-phase materials with excellent mapping distribution. Raman and infrared spectroscopic measurements were performed and combined with lattice dynamics simulations to describe the room-temperature vibrational properties of all samples. The X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS) were measured in the energy range of 0–1400 eV at room temperature. The Fermi level EFwas defined with the accuracy of 0.127, 0.32 and 0.48 eV for BiMn2O5, Bi0.9Nd0.1Mn2O5and Bi0.8Nd0.2Mn2O5respectively. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy shows the existence of Mn4+state. Magnetic measurements indicate Neél temperature TNat 31, 40 and 61 K for BiMn2O5,Bi0.9Nd0.1Mn2O5and Bi0.8Nd0.2Mn2O5respectively.

Overprescription of opioid analgesia is common following ambulatory Otolaryngology—head and Neck surgery procedures: A multicenter study

Background: The rise in the use of prescription opioids for postoperative analgesia within surgery has mirrored an increased trend of opioid-related morbidity within Canada and the United States. This study prospectively studied daily pain levels and medication requirements postoperatively in patients undergoing elective Otolaryngology—head and Neck surgery ***: Patients were asked to prospectively document their pain level and medication use daily for 7 days postoperatively. A final survey was used to quantify unused medication left at home and clarify each patient's disposal plan. We included patients undergoing elective outpatient or short stay surgeries from three tertiary care centers in Toronto, Ontario from September 2016 to September 2017. Previous opioids users or patients suffering from chronic pain were ***: A final cohort of 56 eligible adult patients were included in the study. The most common procedures were thyroidectomy (n = 19), endoscopic sinus surgery (n= 10), tympanoplasty/ossiculoplasty (n= 7), and cochlear implant (n = 5). Most patients received a prescription for acetaminophen/codeine (n = 29, 51.8%) or acetaminophen/oxycodone (n = 22, 39.3%) and used on average 29% of their initial prescription. Patients most commonly opted to keep their unused narcotics at home (n = 23, 41%). A total of 710 tablets of narcotics were overprescribed in our study population, 351 of which were kept in patients'' home for future ***: There is a clear tendency to overestimate postoperative pain resulting in significant overprescription of opioids among Otolaryngologists.

目的对海南省福寿螺进行分子鉴定,完成遗传多样性和亲缘关系研究,为识别和防控福寿螺的持续扩散提供依据。方法基于线粒体细胞色素c氧化酶I(COI)和16S核糖体脱氧核糖核酸(16S rDNA)基因,对海南省18个县市61个采样点采集的福寿螺样本,进行系统发育分析及种群遗传学研究。采集1050只福寿螺,随机对其中632只和577只进行COI和16S rDNA基因测序。从GenBank数据库下载序列构建数据库,COI和16S rDNA数据库分别有1465和641条序列。使用MEGA X和DnaSP软件进行系统发育和遗传多样性分析。结果小管福寿螺为海南省优势种(79.9%)。小管福寿螺和隐秘福寿螺在海南17个市县同时存在。基于COI基因,小管福寿螺分为A支(与来自日本和中国福寿螺亲缘关系密切)、B支(与来自日本、菲律宾、马来西亚和中国福寿螺亲缘关系接近)和C支(与来自马来西亚、日本、阿根廷、巴布亚新几内亚、缅甸、智利和中国福寿螺亲缘关系近)。基于16S rDNA基因,小管福寿螺分为A支和B支系(与来自马来西亚、阿根廷、菲律宾、美国和中国福寿螺亲缘关系较近)。单倍型网络分析表明,基于小管福寿螺的COI和16S rDNA基因,分别有4个和3个单倍型。隐秘福寿螺只表现出单一的COI单倍型。保亭黎族苗族自治县的福寿螺样本单倍型和核苷酸多样性最高(hd=0.679,π=0.053),而琼海市和屯昌县之间的种群分化最大(F_(ST)=0.63)。小管福寿螺和隐秘福寿螺的遗传多样性较低。结论海南省小管福寿螺的COI和16S rDNA序列具有多态性。福寿螺可能被多次引入海南,其中隐秘福寿螺在海南省首次得到确认,尚未记录到斑点福寿螺的分布。海南省小管福寿螺和隐秘福寿螺的遗传多样性较低。

An efficient descriptor model for fast screening of potential materials for solar cell applications is *** works for both excitonic and non-excitonic solar cells materials,and in addition to the energy gap it includes the absorption spectrum(α(E))of the *** charge transport properties of the explored materials are modelled using the characteristic diffusion length(ld)determined for the respective family of *** presented model surpasses the widely used Scharber model developed for bulk heterojunction solar *** published experimental data,we show that the presented model is more accurate in predicting the achievable *** model both excitonic and non-excitonic systems,two different sets of parameters are used to account for the different modes of *** analysis of the presented descriptor model clearly shows the benefit of includingα(E)and ld in view of improved screening results.

反射式液晶显示具有功耗低、绿色环保的优点。但由于没有增亮膜等光学膜系对视角进行调控,常见的网点形貌下视角曲线存在跳变、不均匀等问题。为了改善反射式液晶显示的视角问题,本文建立了反射式液晶模组仿真模型进行探究。首先,分析了前光模组存在的视角问题。接着,以圆锥形和圆台形网点为例分析了网点形貌对视角的影响,并提出棱柱形网点以改善视角。仿真结果表明,棱柱形网点可以有效解决垂直于入射光方向±35°视角的曲线跳变及不均匀问题,且将视角中心亮度相比于圆锥形网点提升了52.3%。本研究对反射式液晶显示设备的视角设计具有重要参考意义。

Electronic patient data gives many advantages,but also new *** may delay procedures like acquiring patient *** deadlock resolution solutions introduce uncertainty due to inaccurate transaction *** computing-based solutions have been developed to solve this *** a single framework,ambiguous,vague,incomplete,and inconsistent transaction attribute information has received minimal *** work presented in this paper employed type-2 neutrosophic logic,an extension of type-1 neutrosophic logic,to handle uncertainty in real-time deadlock-resolving *** proposed method is structured to reflect multiple types of knowledge and relations among transactions’features that include validation factor degree,slackness degree,degree of deadline-missed transaction based on the degree of membership of truthiness,degree ofmembership of indeterminacy,and degree ofmembership of ***,the footprint of uncertainty(FOU)for truth,indeterminacy,and falsity represents the level of uncertainty that exists in the value of a grade of *** employed a distributed real-time transaction processing simulator(DRTTPS)to conduct the simulations and conducted experiments using the benchmark Pima Indians diabetes dataset(PIDD).As the results showed,there is an increase in detection rate and a large drop in rollback rate when this new strategy is *** performance of Type-2 neutrosophicbased resolution is better than the Type-1 neutrosophic-based approach on the execution ratio *** improvement rate has reached 10%to 20%,depending on the number of arrived transactions.

This paper investigated the mechanism of precipitation and its influence upon prop-erties of ultra-thin hot strips of low carbon steel produced by CSP techniques using experiment and thermodynamics theory. The experimental results show that there are lots of fine and dispersive precipitates in microstructures. By analysis, most of aluminum nitrides are in grains, while coexisted precipitates of MnS are along grain boundaries. Coexisted precipitates compose cation-vacancy type oxides such as Al2O3 in the core, while MnS is at the fringe of surface. The precipitation behavior of AIN and MnS in the hot strip is studied by thermodynamic calculation. At last, implica-tions between strengthening effect and techniques are analyzed using obtained solubility products.
