Comparative Analysis of Ti,Ni,and Au Electrodes on Characteristics of TiO_2 Nanofibers for humidity Sensor Application

The effect of metal （Ti, Ni, and Au） electrodes on humidity sensing properties of electrospun TiO2 nanofibers was investigated in this work. The devices were fabricated by evaporating metal contacts on SiO2 layer thermally grown on silicon substrate. The separation between the electrodes was 90 μm for all sensors. The sensors were tested from 40% to 90% relative humidity （Rh） by AC electrical characterization at room temperature. When sensors are switched between 40% and 90% Rh, the corresponding response and recovery time are 3 s and 5 s for Ti-electrode sensor, 4 s and 7 s for Ni-electrode sensor, and 7 s and 13 s for Au-electrode sensor. The hysteresis was 3%, 5% and 15% for sensitivity of Ti, Ni, and Au-electrode sensors are Ti-, Ni-, and Au-electrode sensor, respectively. The 7.53 MΩ/%Rh, 5.29 MΩ/%Rh and 4.01 MΩ/%Rh respectively at 100 hz. Therefore Ti-electrode sensor is found to have linear response, fast response and recovery time and higher sensitivity as compared with those of Ni- and Au-electrode sensors. Comparison of humidity sensing properties of sensors with different electrode material may propose a compelling route for designing and optimizing humidity sensors.

The III–V alloys and doping to tune the bandgap for solar cells and other optoelectronic devices has remained a hot topic of research for the last few *** the present article,the bandgap tuning and its influence on optical properties of In1-xGaxN/P,where(x=0.0,0.25,0.50,0.75,and 1.0)alloys are comprehensively analyzed by density functional theory based on full-potential linearized augmented plane wave method(FP-LAPW)and modified Becke and Johnson potentials(TB-mBJ).The direct bandgaps turn from 0.7 eV to 3.44 eV,and 1.41 eV to 2.32 eV for In1-xGaxN/P alloys,which increases their potentials for optoelectronic *** optical properties are discussed such as dielectric constants,refraction,absorption,optical conductivity,and *** light is polarized in the low energy region with minimum *** absorption and optical conduction are maxima in the visible region,and they are shifted into the ultraviolet region by Ga ***,static dielectric constant e1(0)is in line with the bandgap from Penn’s model.

Assessment of Sea Water Inundation Along Daboo Creek Area in Indus Delta Region, Pakistan

Indus Deltaic Region(IDR) in Pakistan is an erosion vulnerable coast due to the high deep water wave energy. Livelihood of millions of people depends on the fisheries and mangrove forests in IDR. IDR consists of many creeks where Daboo is a major creek located at southeast of the largest city of Pakistan, Karachi. Unfortunately, there has been no detailed study to analyze the damages of sea water intrusion at a large temporal and spatial scale. Therefore, this study is designed to estimate the effects of sea water inundation based on changing sea water surface salinity and sea surface temperature(SST). Sea surface salinity and SST data from two different surveys in Daboo creek during 1986 and 2010 are analyzed to estimate the damages and extent of sea water intrusion. Mean salinity has increased 33.33% whereas mean SST decreased 13.79% from 1987 to 2010. Spatio-temporal analysis of creek area using LANDSAT 5 Thematic mapper(TM) data for the years 1987 and 2010 shows significant amount of erosion at macro scale. Creek area has increased approximately 9.93%(260.86 m^2 per year) which is roughly equal to 60 extensive sized shrimp farms. Further Land Use Land Cover(LULC) analyses for years 2001 and 2014 using LANDSAT 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus(ETM+) has indicated 42.3% decrease in cultivated land. Wet mud flats have spread out at the inner mouth of creek with enormous increase of 123.3%. Significant sea water intrusion has increased the area of barren land by 37.9%. This also resulted in overall decrease of 6.7% in area covered by mangroves. Therefore, this study recorded a significant evidence of sea water intrusion in IDR that has caused serious damages to community living in the area, economical losses. Additionally, it has also changed the environment by reducing creek biological productivity as reported by earlier studies over other regions of the world.

2-Amino-3-ketobutyrate CoA ligase （KBL） of Escherichia coli is a member of the a-oxoamine synthase family; it catalyzes the condensation reaction between glycine and acetyl CoA to yield 2-amino-3-ketobutyrate. We have previously shown that KBL catalyzes the exchange ofpro-R hydrogen of glycine with protons in the medium; however, the kinetics of this reaction has never been determined. In this study, we calculated the kinetic parameters of this exchange reaction by using different concentrations of [2RS- 3h2： 2-14C] glycine. The rate of the exchange reaction was determined by measuring the 3h/14C ratio in recovered ｜2S- 3h： 2J4C]glycine. The Lineweaver-Burk plot showed that Km and kcat of this reaction were 3.8 ×10^-3 M and 0.22 S^-11, respectively. On the other hand, Km and kcat values of the overall KBL-mediated catalysis were correspondingly 1.23 × 10^-2 M and 1.19 S^-1. Thus, the rate of the exchange reaction was almost five times lower than that of overall KBL catalysis.

We study the spin precession frequency of a test gyroscope attached to a stationary observer in the five-dimensional rotating Kaluza-Klein black hole(RKKBh). We derive the conditions under which the test gyroscope moves along a timelike trajectory in this geometry, and the regions where the spin precession frequency diverges. The magnitude of the gyroscope precession frequency around the KK black hole diverges at two spatial locations outside the event horizon. however, in the static case, the behavior of the Lense-Thirring frequency of a gyroscope around the KK black hole is similar to the ordinary Schwarzschild black hole. Since a rotating Kaluza-Klein black hole is a generalization of the Kerr-Newman black hole, we present two mass-independent schemes to distinguish these two spacetimes.
