Th.s work addressed th. application of Monte-Carlo (MC) simulation on obtained ch.mical data previous publish.d in one of auth.rs’ paper. Th. ch.mical data were subjected into MC simulation. Also, Kruskal-Wall test was performed to enh.nce our h.poth.sis of difference among th. reported data. Moreover, Nonparametric Runs Test was calculated to get bigger vision of th. h.poth.sis. Th. ch.mical data tested in th.s study sh.wed significant difference wh.n using MC simulation.

Combinations of metal and lanth.nide oxides h.ve been done th.ough.casted films for potential medical applications. In th.s regard, samarium(Ⅲ) oxide/ch.omium(Ⅲ) oxide/graph.ne oxide(GO)/polycaprolactone(PCL) based films nano-composites(NCs) were fabricated, pointing th.ir utilization as a biological scaffold for wound dressing purposes. Also, samarium(Ⅲ) oxide and ch.omium(Ⅲ) oxide h.ve been merged as promising optical constituents due to th.ir unique optical beh.vior. Th. structural and compositional examination of th. studied NCs was executed by X-ray diffraction(XRD), Raman, and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM). Th. Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL NC exh.bits a surface with.a lower rough.ess degree owing to th. presence of GO. Cr_(2)O_(3)sh.ws size reduction upon GO insertion to reach.1.2 μm as th. average grain size, wh.lst Sm_(2)O_(3)records an average grain size of less th.n 1 μm. As well, th. polymeric nano-compositions exh.bit variation in contact angle values th.t h.t 29.76°± 3.52°for Sm_(2)O_(3)/PCL, and 48.62°± 1.37°for Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL as th. second lowest contact angle. Th. optical beh.vior contributes to absorption edge relocation along th. x-axis from 1.7 eV for pure PCL, to 2.65 eV for Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL. Regarding biological responses, th. cell exposed to 2.5 μg/m L of Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL sh.ws cell viability of 119.31%, wh.le 5 μg/m L h.ts 99.6%. Additionally, th. resulting cell attach.ent micrograph. sh.w layers of fibroblast tissue, besides th. proliferation and growth.of cultivated cells. Th.s, th. Sm_(2)O_(3)/Cr_(2)O_(3)/GO/PCL scaffold provides 3D proliferation of fibroblast cells endorsing th. wound h.aling process.

Nucleosome positioning is critical for gene expression and of major biological interest. Th. h.gh.cost of experimentally mapping nucleosomal arrangement signifies th. need for computational approach.s to predict nucleosome positions at h.gh.resolution. h.re, we present a web-based application to fulfill th.s need by implementing two models, YR and W/S sch.mes, for th. translational and rotational positioning of nucleosomes, respectively. Our meth.ds are based on sequence-dependent anisotropic bending th.t dictates h.w DNA is wrapped around a h.stone octamer. Th.s application allows users to specify a number of options such.as sch.mes and param- eters for th.eading calculation and provides multiple layout formats. Th. nuMap is implemented in Java/Perl/MySQL and is freely available for public use at h.tp：//***. A new and efficient procedure h.s been designed for th. preparation of 6-arylmeth.lene-amino-2-alkyl sulfonyl-pyrimidine. Th. first alkylth.o group was introduced into th. pyrimidine ring by S-alkylation. Th. introduction of th. second one was successfully ach.eved using th. ph.sph.rous oxych.oride meth.d to afford 4-ch.oro-2-alkylth.o-pyrimidines. Subsequent nucleoph.lic displacement by th. corresponding alkylamines followed by glycoside bromide addition conveniently gave a series of th. target compounds. Th.s, th. two same or different alkylamino groups were easily introduced into th. pyrimidine ring th.ough.th. two different approach.s. Th. h.man anti-platelet aggregation activity of th. newly synth.sized compounds was also described.

A h.gh.y practical and efficient preparation of 6-meth.-4h.th.och.omene and 7-meth.l-th.och.omene[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives was developed via a multi-component reaction of 3-meth.l-th.oph.nol (1), aldeh.des (2), and malononitrile (3). A series of pyrimidine nucleoside, th.och.omene[2,3-d]pyrimidine and th.och.omene[2,3-d]pyrimidine-10-sulfone was efficiently obtained. Th.se h.brid compounds were evaluated as potential antibacterial and anticancer agents and sh.wed encouraging biological activities. Some of th.se derivatives sh.wed broad-spectrum antitumour activity against th. nine tumour subpanels tested, and demonstrated significant activity in th. in vitro antitumour screening expressed by MG-MID log10GI50 value of -4.55, -4.67 and -4.73 of compounds 9a, 9b and 9c, respectively.

UV Sensing Properties of Single 2D ZnO Nanostructure

Th. performance of nanostructured devices depend significantly on th. morph.logy and structure of th. used nanostructures. We report th. h.droth.rmal synth.sis of h.gh.quality 2D ZnO nanostructures and th. fabrication of ultraviolet (UV) sensors based on single 2D ZnO nanostructures. Th. grown nanostructures are ch.racterized using SEM, STEM, SAED, and XRD. Th. single 2D ZnO nanostructure UV sensor demonstrates h.gh.ph.tosensitivity of 980 and speed of response and recovery of 19 and 25 s, respectively. Th. h.gh.performance is attributed to th. h.gh.quality of th. ZnO 2D crystals and its h.gh.surface to volume ratio.
