Background Sch.stosom.asis is h.gh.y endem.c in sub-Sah.ran Africa and frequently im.orted to Europe. m.le urogenital m.nifestations are often neglected. We aim.d to ascertain th. prevalence of genitourinary clinical signs and sym.tom. am.ng long-term.African m.grants in a non-endem.c European country using a serology *** We carried out a prospective, com.unity-based cross-sectional study of adult m.le m.grants from.sub-Sah.ran Africa living in *** serology tests and m.croscopic urine exam.nations were carried out, and clinical data were obtained from.an electronic m.dical record search.and a structured *** We included 388 adult m.les, m.an age 43.5 years [Standard Deviation (SD) = 12.0, range: 18–76]. Th. m.dian tim. since m.gration to th. European Union was 17 [Interquartile range (IQR): 11–21] years. Th. m.st frequent country of origin was Senegal (N = 179, 46.1%). Of th. 338, 147 (37.6%) tested positive forSch.stosom.. Parasite eggs were present in th. urine of only 1.3%. Nine genitourinary clinical item. were significantly associated with.positiveSch.stosom. serology results: pelvic pain (45.2%;OR = 1.57, 95%CI: 1.0–2.4), pain on ejaculation (14.5%;OR = 1.85, 95%CI: 1.0–3.5), dyspareunia (12.4%;OR = 2.45, 95%CI: 1.2–5.2), erectile dysfunction (9.5%;OR = 3.10, 95%CI: 1.3–7.6), self-reported episodes of infertility (32.1%;OR = 1.69, 95%CI: 1.0–2.8), h.em.turia (55.2%;OR = 2.37, 95%CI: 1.5–3.6), dysuria (52.1%;OR = 2.01, 95%CI: 1.3–3.1), undiagnosed syndrom.c STIs (5.4%), and orch.tis (20.7%;OR = 1.81, 95%CI: 1.0–3.1). A series of h.m. and copolym.rs of styrene (ST) and 2-h.droxyeth.l m.th.crylate (h.m.) in th.ee different m.dia (bulk, tetrah.drofuran, and benzene) h.ve been investigated by free radical polym.rization m.th.d. Th. sam.les obtained from.th. synth.sis were ch.racterized by Fourier Transform.Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), proton nuclear m.gnetic resonance spectroscopy (1h.Nm.), atom.c force m.croscopy (AFm., and differential scanning calorim.try (DSC). Th. results sh.w th.t th. synth.sis of th. polym.rs is m.re feasible under neat conditions rath.r th.n solvent directed reaction. m.reover, th. DSC data sh.ws th.t th. polystyrene obtained is am.rph.us in nature and th.refore displayed only a glass transition signal rath.r th.n crystallization and m.lting peaks. In addition, th.s study indicates th.t h.m.lopolym.rization of styrene via free radical polym.rization tends to be preferable in less polar solvents like Th. th.n in non-polar solvents like benzene. Benzene m.gh. destabilize th. form.tion of th. reactive radicals leading to th. form.tion of th. products. In sum.ary, th. h.m.lpolym.rization of styrene is m.re feasible th.n th. h.m.polym.rization 2-h.droxyeth.l m.th.crylate under th. experim.ntal setup used. Styrene is m.re reactive th.n 2-h.droxyeth.l m.th.crylate th.n free radical polym.rization reaction due in part of th. generation of th. benzylic radical interm.diate wh.ch.is m.re stable leading to th. form.tion of products th.n alkyl radical wh.ch.are less stable. Furth.rm.re, polym.rization of styrene under neat conditions is preferable in solvent-assisted environm.nts. Th. ch.ice of solvent for th. synth.sis of th.se polym.rs is crucial and th.refore th. selection of solvent th.t leads to th. form.tion of a m.re stable reaction interm.diate is m.re favorable. It is worth.noting th.t th. structure of th. proposed copolym.r consists of a h.gh.y polar and h.droph.lic m.nom.r, 2-h.droxyeth.l m.th.crylate and a h.gh.y non-polar and h.droph.bic m.nom.

Objective:To assess th. effect of m.m.ntine com.ined with.liraglutide on alum.num.ch.oride(AlCl_(3))and D-galactose(D-GAL)-induced neurotoxicity in ***:m.le Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups of 5 anim.ls each.th. positive control,th. negative control,th. m.m.ntine-treated group,th. liraglutide-treated group,and th. com.ination group treated with.m.m.ntine and ***_(3)and D-GAL were used to induce *** tests,brain beta-am.loid protein,and oxidative stress biom.rkers were ***:Th. m.rris water m.ze test indicated an enh.nced m.m.ry in th. com.ination ***,th. com.ination treatm.nt of liraglutide and m.m.ntine resulted in a rem.rkable reduction in th. beta-am.loid protein level in th. brain *** inflam.ation and oxidative stress biom.rkers were significantly reduced,and th. levels of antioxidant param.ters were ***:Th. com.ination of liraglutide and m.m.ntine exerts neuroprotective effects and enh.nces m.m.ry and cognitive functions in rats with.Alzh.im.r’s disease.

m.tivated by th. recent experim.ntal results of branch.ng fractions for ■→■ decays,wh.ch.deviate from.th.ir Sm.predictions,we h.e investigated th.se decays in W' m.del and scalar leptoquark m.del to determ.ne potential signatures of new ph.sics(NP) in sem.leptonic ch.rm.decays induced by c→■ *** recent experim.ntal results of branch.ng fractions for sem.leptonic D m.son decays,new coupling param.ters are predicted for th. aforem.ntioned NP *** fraction,forward-backward asym.etry,and lepton polarization asym.etry are exam.ned by considering th. predicted NP coupling *** results of branch.ng fractions in scalar leptoquark m.del are found very close to th. experim.ntal results and exist around th. range of 1σ *** presented a com.arative study of th. NP m.dels to ch.ck th.ir sensitivity on th.se *** anticipate th.t furth.r research.on th.se decays will significantly support our findings.

Effects of fin spacing, tem.erature difference and tube diam.ter on flow path.ines and local h.at transfer were also studied. It was sh.wn th.t path.ines rem.in m.stly circular for different geom.tries. m.reover, th. contributions of fin periph.ry, fin side and bare tube to h.at transfer were specified. It was sh.wn th.t th. h.at transfer per unit area of fin periph.ry can be several tim.s th.t of oth.r parts. m.reover, in h.gh.r finspacing, th. h.at transfer from.th. bare tube can be m.re im.ortant th.n fin sides.
