Genetic susceptibility to m.tabolic associated fatty liver disease (m.FLD) is com.lex and poorly ch.racterized. Accurate ch.racterization of th. genetic background of h.patic fat content would provide insigh.s into disease etiology and causality of risk factors. We perform.d genom.-wide association study (GWAS) on two noninvasive definitions of h.patic fat content: m.gnetic resonance im.ging proton density fat fraction (m.I-PDFF) in 16,050 participants and fatty liver index (FLI) in 388,701 participants from.th. United Kingdom.(UK) Biobank (UKBB). h.ritability, genetic overlap, and sim.larity between h.patic fat content ph.notypes were analyzed, and replicated in 10,398 participants from.th. University m.dical Center Groningen (Um.G) Genetics Lifelines Initiative (UGLI). m.ta-analysis of GWASs of m.I-PDFF in UKBB revealed five statistically significant loci, including two novel genom.c loci h.rboring CREB3L1 (rs72910057-T, P = 5.40E-09) and GCm. (rs1491489378-T, P = 3.16E-09), respectively, as well as th.ee previously reported loci: PNPLA3, Tm.SF2, and APOE. GWAS of FLI in UKBB identified 196 genom.-wide significant loci, of wh.ch.49 were replicated in UGLI, with.top signals in ZPR1 (P = 3.35E-13) and FTO (P = 2.11E-09). Statistically significant genetic correlation (rg) between m.I-PDFF (UKBB) and FLI (UGLI) GWAS results was found (rg = 0.5276, P = 1.45E-03). Novel m.I-PDFF genetic signals (CREB3L1 and GCm.) were replicated in th. FLI GWAS. We identified two novel genes for m.I-PDFF and 49 replicable loci for FLI. Despite a difference in h.patic fat content assessm.nt between m.I-PDFF and FLI, a substantial sim.lar genetic arch.tecture was found. FLI is identified as an easy and reliable approach.to study h.patic fat content at th. population level.

Th. aim.of th.s study was to present th. epidem.ological, clinical and th.rapeutic aspects of adult urological cancers in th. departm.nt of urology at Zinder National h.spital. Patients and m.th.ds: Th.s was a cross-sectional study of adult prim.ry urologic cancers during th. period of January 2019 to Decem.er 2023. Data were obtained from.th. record of patients adm.tted to urology, and th. m.dical oncology departm.nt. Th. param.ters studied were;frequency, age, sex, urogenital distribution, anatom.path.logical type, and th.rapeutic aspects. Data were recorded on Excel 2013 and analyzed with.Epi-info version 7.2.5. Results: Epidem.ology: About 289 cancers were diagnosed th.ough.6017 consultations during th. period, corresponding to 4.80% of urological path.logies: prostate cancer (n = 221;76.47%), bladder cancer (n = 46;15.92%), kidney cancer (n = 13;04.5%), testis cancer (n = 09;03.11%). m.dian age of patients was 50.42 years. Prostate cancer: was Adenocarcinom. in 100% (n = 221) with.Gleason scores > 7 (77.83%) and prostatique specific antigen (PSA) > 20 ng/m. in 90.04%. Extension evaluation 134 cases (60.63%). Treatm.nt was ch.rurgical castration in (62.44%) and resistance to castration appeared between 8 and 11 m.nth.. h.spital m.rtality for prostate cancer was 16.29%. Bladder cancer was found in 46 cases with.Sex ratio 7/1. Cystoscopy was perform.d for all. h.stology revealed squam.us cell carcinom. (n = 41;89.13%), and (n = 5;10.87%) uroth.lial. Endoscopic resection perform.d (n = 14;30.43%). Kidney cancers were 13 cases (10 m.n, 03 wom.n). Neph.ectom. was perform.d in (n = 8;61.54%) cases and h.stology revealed renal cell cancer in 76.92%. Testicular cancers were diag 09 cases. h.story of cryptorch.dism.was found in 4 cases, 4-year infertility in 3 cases. Orch.dectom. was done in all cases. Ch.m.th.rapy in 3 cases. Introduction: Neonatal peritonitis is a rare but serious condition requiring early diagnosis and m.nagem.nt. Th. lack of antenatal diagnosis, th. precariousness of neonatal intensive care, and th. delay in diagnosis and treatm.nt are th. factors of poor prognosis. Th. objective of th.s study was to study th. epidem.ological, diagnostic and th.rapeutic aspects of neonatal peritonitis in order to im.rove its m.nagem.nt in th. pediatric surgery departm.nt of th. Ch.-Donka. m.terials and m.th.ds: Th.s is a retrospective descriptive study of th. records of patients treated for neonatal peritonitis from.January 1, 2017 to Decem.er 31, 2022. Results: Results: We com.iled 17 records of patients operated on for neonatal peritonitis, representing a frequency of 3.85% and an incidence of 2.83 cases/year. Th. m.an age of our patients was 8.29 days, with.extrem.s of D0 and D25. m.les were m.re dom.nant, with.a frequency of 71% and a sex ratio of 2.4. Th. average consultation tim. was 72 h. with.extrem.s of 12 h.and 144 h. Abdom.nal bloating was th. m.in reason for consultation (100%). Fever and vom.ting were frequent, at 70.59% and 82.35% respectively. PSA revealed pneum.peritoneum.in 12 patients (70.59%). Th. colon was th. m.st frequent site of perforation at 29.41%. ECUN was th. m.in etiology with.35.29%. Ostom. was th. m.in surgical procedure in 58.82% of cases, followed by suture excision in 29.41%. Postoperative follow-up was sim.le in 3 patients (17.65%) and com.licated in 14 (82.35%). Sepsis was th. m.in cause of death.(47.59%). Th. m.rtality rate was 76.47%. Conclusion: m.rtality from.neonatal peritonitis rem.ins h.gh.in developing countries. Early diagnosis, early surgical m.nagem.nt, and th. presence of well-equipped neonatal intensive care units with.qualified staff are essential for an im.rovem.nt in th. prognosis of neonatal peritonitis.

Condition m.nitoring of th. insulating system.with.n power transform.rs h.s a m.ssive im.ortance according to th. electrical *** gas analysis(DGA)is frequently used for th.s ***,DGA lacks th. necessary level of accuracy to identify all equipm.nt faults,particularly in th.ir initial stages of ***,it does not h.ve th. capability for real-tim. m.nitoring and relies on m.nual sam.ling and laboratory testing,causing potential delays in fault ***,th. interpretation of DGA data necessitates specialised expertise,wh.ch.m.y pose difficulties for sm.ller entities th.t h.ve lim.ted access to ***,th. contribution of th.s research.is to use infrared spectroscopy m.asurem.nts as a new effective tech.ique substituting th. DGA m.th.d for fault diagnosis in insulating *** inception faults th.t were considered in th.s study were th. electrical fault(disch.rges of h.gh.energy)and th. th.rm.l fault(300°Cm.eratureh.t,two test cells were crafted especially for serving th. sim.lation processes inside th. laboratory for both.types of inception ***,six sam.les of pure paraffinic m.neral oil were taken to be degraded in th. *** th.t,all of th.m.besides anoth.r sam.le th.t were not subjected to any kind of faults were taken to be exam.ned by Fourier transform.infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy to obtain an overview of th. oil's beh.viour in each.fault *** th.t,th. FTIR analysis was initially verified utilising th. DGA ***,for furth.r affirm.tion,th. dielectric dissipation factor(DDF)for all sam.les was *** th. final analysis,th. verification tests provide experim.ntal evidence about th. outperform.nce of th.s new optical tech.ique in detecting th. transform.r's inception faults in addition to proving its potential for being a superior alternative to th. well-known traditional diagnostic tech.iques.
