Recycling strongly acidic wastewater as diluted h_(2)SO_(4) after contaminants contained being removed was previously proposed,however,Cl(-I),a kind of contaminant contained in strongly acidic wastewater,is difficult to remove,which severely degrades the quality of recycled h_(2)SO_(4).In this study,the removal of Cl(-I)using PbO_(2) was investigated and the involved mechanisms were *** removal efficiency of Cl(-I)reached 93.38%at 50℃ when PbO_(2)/Cl(-I)mole ratio reached 2:*** identification of reaction products shows that Cl(-I)was oxidized to Cl_(2),and PbO_(2) was reduced to PbSO_(4).Cl_(2) was absorbed by NaOh to form NaClO,which was used for the regeneration of PbO_(2) from the generated PbSO_(4).Cl(-I)was removed through two pathways,i.e.,surface oxidation and•Oh radical oxidation.•Oh generated by the reaction of PbO_(2) and Oh−plays an important role in Cl(-I)*** regenerated PbO_(2) had excellent performance to remove Cl(-I)after six-time *** study provided an in-depth understanding on the effective removal of Cl(-I)by the oxidation method.

Accurate measurements of physical parameters in a scramjet isolator are very important to promote the design and optimization of the isolator and even the *** a ground experiment,limited by the inherent characteristics of measurement technology and equipment,it is a big challenge to obtain the velocity field inside an *** this study,a deep learning approach was introduced to combine data obtained from ground experiments and numerical simulations,and a velocity field prediction model was developed for obtaining the velocity field inside an isolator based on experimental Schlieren *** velocity field prediction model was designed with convolutional neural networks as the main *** experiments of a scramjet isolator under continuous Mach number variation were carried out,and Schlieren images of the flow field inside the isolator were *** simulations of the isolator were also carried out,and the velocity fields inside the isolator under various Mach numbers were *** velocity field prediction model was trained using flow field datasets containing experimental Schlieren images and velocity field,and the mapping relationship between the experimental Schlieren images and the predicted velocity field was successfully established.

Exposure to engineered nanomaterials(ENMs), such as graphene oxide(GO), can potentially induce the response of various molecular signaling pathways, which can mediate the protective function or the toxicity *** signaling pathway is conserved evolutionarily in *** Caenorhabditis elegans as an in vivo assay model, we investigated the effect of GO exposure on intestinal Wnt *** the intestine, GO exposure dysregulated Frizzled receptor MOM-5, Disheveled protein DSh-2, GSK-3(a component of APC complex), and two β-catenin proteins(BAR-1 and hMP-2), which mediated the induction of GO *** GO exposed nematodes, a hox protein EGL-5 acted as a downstream target of BAR-1, and fatty acid transport ACS-22 acted as a downstream target of *** analysis on hMP-2 and ACS-22 suggested that the dysregulation of these two proteins provides an important basis for the observed deficit in functional state of intestinal *** results imply the association of dysregulation in physiological and functional states of intestinal barrier with toxicity induction of GO in organisms.

The cheap manganese sand was first modified by h2O2 and was further creatively utilized as Ni-based catalyst *** order to enhance the catalytic performance,Re was added into the Ni-based catalyst and the promotion effect of Re on the methanation coupling with water gas shift of biogas was investigated from the perspective of activation *** was found that Ch4 and CO2 formation rates,which separately represented the reaction rate of methanation and water gas shift,were both enhanced after Re addition compared to non-added *** kinetics models including empirical model and K-model were employed and from the results of calculation,it showed that Re selectively decreased the activation energy of methanation reaction and had little impact on the activation energy of water gas *** increased CO2 formation rate was owing to the assistance of accelerated h2O production from methanation rather than the activation energy change in water gas shift.

To effectively estimate the unknown aerodynamic parameters from the aircraft’s flight data,this paper proposes a novel aerodynamic parameter estimation method incorporating a stacked Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)network model and the Levenberg-Marquardt(LM)*** stacked LSTM network model was designed to realize the aircraft dynamics modeling by utilizing a frame of nonlinear functional mapping based entirely on the measured input-output data of the aircraft system without requiring explicit postulation of the *** LM method combines the already-trained LSTM network model to optimize the unknown aerodynamic *** proposed method is applied by using the real flight data,generated by ATTAS aircraft and a bio-inspired morphing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV).The investigation reveals that for the two different flight data,the designed stacked LSTM network structure can maintain the efficacy of the network prediction capability only by appropriately adjusting the dropout rates of its hidden layers without changing other network parameters(i.e.,the initial weights,initial biases,number of hidden cells,time-steps,learning rate,and number of training iterations).Besides,the proposed method’s effectiveness and potential are demonstrated by comparing the estimated results of the ATTAS aircraft or the bio-inspired morphing UAV with the corresponding reference values or wind-tunnel results.

This study delves into the intricate relationship between iron(Fe)content in kaolinite and its impact on the adsorption behavior of sodium *** effects of different iron concentrations on adsorption energy,hydrogen bond kinetics and adsorption efficiency were studied through simulation and experimental *** results show that the presence of iron in the kaolinite structure significantly improves the adsorption capacity of sodium *** samples with high iron content have better adsorption properties,lower adsorption energy levels and shorter and stronger hydrogen bonds than pure *** optimal concentration of oleic acid ions for achieving maximum adsorption efficiency was identified as 1.2 mmol/L across different kaolinite *** this concentration,the adsorption rates and capacities reach their peak,with Fe-enriched kaolinite samples exhibiting notably higher flotation recovery *** optimal concentration represents a balance between sufficient oleic acid ion availability for surface interactions and the prevention of self-aggregation phenomena that could hinder *** study offers promising avenues for optimizing the flotation process in mineral processing applications.

The Sn Se nanoparticles encapsulated in the carbon nanofibers(Sn Se@C)with microrod morphology and core-shell structure are prepared by electrospinning and annealing process,and investigated as anode materials for sodium ion *** from this unique structure,the Sn Se@C can deliver a reversible capacity of 283.8 m Ah g^(-1) after 500 cycles at a high current density of 1.0 A g^(-1).The sodium ion storage mechanisms of Sn Se are further characterized by ex-situ X-ray diffraction,high-resolution transmission electron microscope and selected area electron diffraction ***,the excellent electrochemical performance of the electrodes is investigated by pseudocapacitance and in situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy *** work may provide a new avenue for synthesis of metal selenides with core-shell structure and a good idea for studying the kinetics process.

The South African gold mining sector remains a significant contributor to the country’s *** several challenges that hinder the realisation of South Africa’s full mineral potential,the sector’s sustainability and profitability can be enhanced through implementing operational improvement *** cooling units(MCUs)were identified as a potential focus area for operational *** are used as tertiary or in-stope cooling in hot underground *** this paper,a method was presented to characterise the performance of existing MCUs based on three key performance indicators(KPIs),namely,the wet-bulb temperature ratio(WTR),efficiency and *** strategies were then elected and implemented based on these *** implementation of this method in a South African gold mine attained a reduction in pumped water volumes,reduced operating costs through electricity cost savings and improvements in underground ventilation air temperatures.
