Large-scale Cenozoic magmatic rocks from the interplay between the Indian and Eurasian plate are exposed in the Yulong porphyry copper belt in the northern Jinshajiang-Ailaoshan domain.Alkali-rich magmas along the Yulong porphyry copper belt can reveal the tectono-magmatic processes in the Sanjiang region.In this study,we present new zircon U-Pb-Hf isotopes and whole rock geochemistry of Cenozoic granitoids from the Zhalaga area in the northern Yulong porphyry copper belt.The Zircon U-Pb dating results show that the Zhalaga granitic porphyry crystallized at ca.42-38 Ma.These porphyry deposits are depleted in Nb,Ta,Sr,and Ti enriched in alkaline and rare earth elements(REEs),and exhibit high zircon saturation temperatures,that strongly indicate A-type affinity.These data and the generally positiveεHf(t)values(2.0-4.5)suggest the magmas originated from a hybrid of partial melting of subduction-modified lithospheric mantle,possibly triggered by upwelling of the asthenospheric mantle.Geochronological and geochemical data of the current and previous studies distinguish three magmatic phases during the Cenozoic in the Jinshajiang-Ailaoshan region:(1)ca.62-48 Ma;(2)ca.44-30 Ma;and(3)ca.28-16 Ma.The strong collision between the Indian and Eurasian plates produced relatively fast convergence rates during the first episode(ca.62-48 Ma),whereas the subsequent right-lateral strike-slip faulting in the Jinshajiang fault zone initiated at ca.43 Ma is associated with the relatively low India-Eurasia convergence rates during ca.44-30 Ma.These significantly impacted the nature and spatial distribution of the magmatism and the large-scale metallogeny during the Cenozoic in the Sanjiang region.We suggest that the Zhalaga alkali-rich magmas occurred in a transition period from involving soft to hard collisional settings.This remarkable example demonstrates that alkali-rich magmas with A-type affinity are also generated in an orogenic tectonic setting.

Background: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune disease characterized by complex and various clinical manifestations. The study aimed to analyze clinical features and cerebral magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) changes of hyperintense white matter (WM) lesions in SLE patients.Methods: This was a retrospective study based on a consecutive cohort of 1191 SLE patients;273 patients for whom cerebral MRI data were available were enrolled to assess hyperintense WM lesions associated with SLE. Patients were assigned to two groups, ie, with or without hyperintense WM lesions. The MRI assessment showed that the hyperintense WM lesions could be classified into three categories: type A, periventricular hyperintense WM lesions;type B, subcortical hyperintense WM lesions;and type C, multiple discrete hyperintense WM lesions. The clinical and MRI characteristics were analyzed. Factors related to hyperintense WM lesions were identified by multivariate logistic regression analysis.Results: Among the 273 SLE patients with available cerebral MRI scans, 35.9% (98/273) had hyperintense WM lesions associated with SLE. The proportions of types A, B, and C were 54.1% (53/98), 11.2% (11/98), and 92.9% (91/98), respectively. Fifty-one percents of the patients showed an overlap of two or three types. Type C was the most common subgroup to be combined with other types. Compared with those without hyperintense WM lesions, the patients with hyperintense WM lesions were associated with neuropsychiatric SLE (NPSLE), lupus nephritis (LN), hypertension, and hyperuricemia (P = 0.002,P = 0.018,P = 0.045, andP = 0.036, respectively). Significantly higher rates of polyserous effusions and cardiac involvement were found in the patients with hyperintense WM lesions (P = 0.029 andP = 0.027, respectively), and these patients were more likely to present with disease damage (P < 0.001). Scaffold protein RACK1A positively regulates leaf senescence by coordinating the EIN3-miR164-ORE1 transcriptional cascade in Arabidopsis

Plants have adopted versatile scaffold proteins to facilitate the crosstalk between multiple signaling pathways. Leaf senescence is a well-programmed developmental stage that is coordinated by various external and internal signals. However,the functions of plant scaffold proteins in response to senescence signals are not well understood. Here, we report that the scaffold protein RACK1A(RECEPTOR FOR ACTIVATED C KINASE1A) participates in leaf senescence mediated by ethylene signaling via the coordination of the EIN3-miR164-ORE1 transcriptional regulatory cascade. RACK1A is a novel positive regulator of ethylene-mediated leaf senescence. The rack1a mutant exhibits delayed leaf senescence, while transgenic lines overexpressing RACK1A display early leaf senescence. Moreover, RACK1A promotes EIN3(ETHYLENE INSENSITIVE 3) protein accumulation, and directly interacts with EIN3 to enhance its DNA-binding activity. Together, they then associate with the miR164 promoter to inhibit its transcription, leading to the release of the inhibition on downstream ORE1(ORESARA 1) transcription and the promotion of leaf senescence.This study reveals a mechanistic framework by which RACK1A promotes leaf senescence via the EIN3-miR164-ORE1 transcriptional cascade, and provides a paradigm for how scaffold proteins finely tune phytohormone signaling to control plant development.

The unexpected global warming slowdown during 1998–2013 challenges the existing scientific understanding of global temperature change mechanisms,and thus the simulation and prediction ability of state-of-the-art climate models since most models participating in phase 5 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP5)cannot simulate it.Here,we examine whether the new-generation climate models in CMIP6 can reproduce the recent global warming slowdown,and further evaluate their capacities for simulating key-scale natural variabilities which are the most likely causes of the slowdown.The results show that although the CMIP6 models present some encouraging improvements when compared with CMIP5,most of them still fail to reproduce the warming slowdown.They considerably overestimate the warming rate observed in 1998–2013,exhibiting an obvious warming acceleration rather than the observed deceleration.This is probably associated with their deficiencies in simulating the distinct temperature change signals from the human-induced long-term warming trend and/or the three crucial natural variabilities at interannual,interdecadal,and multidecadal scales.In contrast,the 4 models that can successfully reproduce the slowdown show relatively high skills in simulating the long-term warming trend and the three keyscale natural variabilities.Our work may provide important insight for the simulation and prediction of near-term climate changes.

A promising biomass carbon material,manufactured by the carbonation of Physalis peruviana L.calyx at 700℃,is presented in this wo rk.Morphology characterization shows that the carbon material possesses long microtubule bundling and above 30%natural O-atom component on the surface.After KOH chemical etching,the materials maintain the oxygen content but exhibit more micropores and higher specific surface area up to 1732.6 m^2/g.Using as an electrode material for supercapacitor,the active carbon material exhibits high specific capacitance up to 339.7 F/g at 0.5 A/g in 3 mol/L KOH aqueous solution through three-electrode system.The active carbon material also exhibits excellent cycling stability(97%retention)by 10,000 cycles at 10 A/g.The outstanding electrochemical performances are attributing to the unique long microtubule bundling with much more pores and the abundant Oelement on the surface.This biomass carbon material with excellent electrochemical properties could be a useful material for multiple applications.

Fatty acids(FAs) are an important class of functional small molecules and participate in a variety of life biological processes. This experiment proposed a liquid chromatography–quadrupole-Qrbitrap mass spectrometry(LC–Q-Orbitrap MS)method to perform FA profiling under parallel reaction monitoring(PRM) acquisition mode. The FA was derivatized by 2-dimethylaminoethylamine(DMED) to increase the ionization e fficiency and provide the characterized fragment pattern.The mass spectra obtained from full scan, multiple ion monitoring(MIM), and PRM were compared. The results showed that the protonated ion of FA + DMED–H2O was detected and the neutral loss of 45.06 Da was observed in the tandem mass spectrum. The PRM method provided the highest selectivity and sensitivity for FA detection with the help of accurate mass weight and specific neutral loss-based fragments. The method validation was performed using the FA standards and pooled quality control serum sample, which showed that the established method had good repeatability, stability, and linearity.Finally, the developed method was successfully applied to analyze the rat serum and brain tissue samples for the drug e ffi-cacy evaluation of gross saponin of Tribulus terrestris L. fruit(GSTTF) against middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)-induced ischemic stroke. This method has extensive practicability and great potential in the detection of FA, especially for the analysis of samples with complex matrices.

It has been shown that the deployment of device-to-device(D2D) communication in cellular systems can provide better support for local services. However, improper design of the hybrid system may cause severe interference between cellular and D2D links. In this paper, we consider transceiver design for the system employing multiple antennas to mitigate the interference. The precoder and decoder matrices are optimized in terms of sum mean squared error(MSE) and capacity, respectively. For the MSE minimization problem, we present an alternative transceiver optimization algorithm. While for the non-convex capacity maximization problem, we decompose the primal problem into a sequence of standard convex quadratic programs for efficient optimization. The evaluation of our proposed algorithms for performance enhancement of the entire D2D integrated cellular system is carried out through simulations.

Summary What is already known about this topic?The hospital-acquired infections caused by New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase(NDM)-producing strains are typically attributed to a single clonal lineage.What is added by this report?In this study,we encountered a unique case of community-acquired NDM-5 Escherichia coli urinary tract infection(UTI)following coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).The UTI persisted for a duration of at least 45 days.Genomic analyses revealed the presence of two NDM-5 strains,both sharing an identical chromosomal background but distinct,homologous,and recombined plasmids.
