To predict the wave loads of a flexible trimaran in different wave fields,a one-way interaction numerical simulation method is proposed by integrating the fluid solver(Star-CCM+)and structural solver(Abaqus).Differing from the existing coupled CFD-FEA method for monohull ships in head waves,the presented method equates the mass and stiffness of the whole ship to the hull shell so that any transverse and longitudinal section stress of the hull in oblique waves can be obtained.Firstly,verification study and sensitivity analysis are carried out by comparing the trimaran motions using different mesh sizes and time step schemes.Discussion on the wave elevation of uni-and bi-directional waves is also carried out.Then a comprehensive analysis on the structural responses of the trimaran in different uni-directional regular wave and bi-directional cross sea conditions is carried out,respectively.Finally,the differences in structural response characteristics of trimaran in different wave fields are studied.The results show that the present method can reduce the computational burden of the two-way fluid-structure interaction simulations.

Synthesis of a High-Efficiency Demulsifier and Study on Optimal Demulsification Conditions

Oil and water separation has always been a top priority in the oil industry.In this study,a series of hyperbranched fluorinated polyamine-amine polymers(HFPA1-5)were synthesized directly using an improved“one-pot method.”The highly active fluorinated p-trifluoromethylaniline was used as the core raw material,while diethylenetriamine and methyl acrylate were used as the chain segment.A hyperbranched fluorine-containing polyamine-amine demulsifier(NHFPA6)was obtained through nano-grafting copolymerization of HFPA5.To enhance the demulsification and dehydration performance,the copolymerized HFPA6 was modified and combined.Then,the effects of the combination ratio,demulsifier concentration,demulsification time,and demulsification temperature on the demulsification effect were investigated.The results revealed that a combination ratio of DE-401:NHFPA6=1:1,a demulsification temperature of 50℃,a demulsification time of 60 min,and a demulsifier concentration of 150 mg/L yielded a dehydration rate as high as 99.80%.A response surface optimization design of demulsification conditions was performed.The model verified that the optimal demulsification conditions were 50℃,300 mg/L,and 90 min.However,considering the economic benefits of factories,it is more favorable to select demulsification conditions with a shorter time and lower concentration when the dehydration standard is met.Therefore,the demulsification conditions were selected as 50℃,150 mg/L,and 60 min.Compared to existing demulsifiers,the demulsifier developed in this study exhibits a lower demulsification temperature and higher demulsification efficiency.

The tilted viewing nature of the off-nadir aerial images brings severe challenges to the building change detection(BCD) problem: the mismatch of the nearby buildings and the semantic ambiguity of the building facades. To tackle these challenges, we present a multi-task guided change detection network model,named as MTGCD-Net. The proposed model approaches the specific BCD problem by designing three auxiliary tasks, including:(1) a pixel-wise classification task to predict the roofs and facades of buildings;(2) an auxiliary task for learning the roof-to-footprint offsets of each building to account for the misalignment between building roof instances; and(3) an auxiliary task for learning the identical roof matching flow between bi-temporal aerial images to tackle the building roof mismatch problem. These auxiliary tasks provide indispensable and complementary building parsing and matching information. The predictions of the auxiliary tasks are finally fused to the main BCD branch with a multi-modal distillation module. To train and test models for the BCD problem with off-nadir aerial images, we create a new benchmark dataset,named BANDON. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our model achieves superior performance over the previous state-of-the-art competitors.

BACKGROUND Bronchial asthma is closely related to the occurrence of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)in children,which can easily have adverse effects on children’s learning and social interactions.Studies have shown that childhood asthma can increase the risk of ADHD and the core symptoms of ADHD.Compared with children with ADHD alone,children with asthma and ADHD are more likely to show high levels of hyperactivity,hyperactive-impulsive and other externalizing behaviors and anxiety in clinical practice and have more symptoms of somatization and emotional internalization.AIM To explore the relationship between ADHD in children and bronchial asthma and to analyze its influencing factors.METHODS This retrospective cohort study was conducted at Dongying People's Hospital from September 2018 to August 2023.Children diagnosed with ADHD at this hospital were selected as the ADHD group,while healthy children without ADHD who underwent physical examinations during the same period served as the control group.Clinical and parental data were collected for all participating children,and multivariate logistic regression analysis was employed to identify risk factors for comorbid asthma in children with ADHD.RESULTSSignificant differences were detected between the ADHD group and the control group in terms of family history ofasthma and allergic diseases, maternal complications during pregnancy, maternal use of asthma and allergymedications during pregnancy, maternal anxiety and depression during pregnancy, and parental relationshipstatus (P < 0.05). Out of the 183 children in the ADHD group, 25 had comorbid asthma, resulting in a comorbidityrate of 13.66% (25/183), compared to the comorbidity rate of 2.91% (16/549) among the 549 children in the controlgroup. The difference in the asthma comorbidity rate between the two groups was statistically significant (P <0.05). Hydrate-based CO_(2) sequestration is an effective method for reducing the greenhouse effect,and the presence of porous media and NaCl can impact the formation characteristics of hydrates.This study uses the constant volume temperature search method to investigate the effects of quartz sand particle size(0.006‒0.03 mm),water saturation(30%–90%),and NaCl concentration(1%‒9%)on the phase equilibrium and kinetics of CO_(2) hydrates within a temperature range of 273‒285 K and pressure range of 1.0‒3.5 MPa.The results indicate that a decrease in quartz sand particle size or an increase in NaCl concentration shifts the hydrate phase equilibrium curve towards lower temperatures and higher pressures,making hydrate generation conditions more demanding.In different particle size systems,there are no significant changes in the rate of CO_(2) hydrate formation or conversion rate.The highest hydrate conversion rate of 71.1%is observed in a 0.015 mm particle size system.With increasing water saturation,both the generation rate and conversion rate of CO_(2) hydrates show a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.Meanwhile,low concentrations of NaCl(1%–3%)are found to enhance the formation and conversion rates of CO_(2) hydrates.However,as NaCl concentration increases,the rate of CO_(2) hydrate formation and conversion rate decrease.

AIM:To observe the retinal and choroidal circulations in patients with non-arteritic permanent central retinal artery occlusion(NA-CRAO)via optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)and analyze their correlation with visual acuity.METHODS:Sixty-two eyes with clinically confirmed acute NA-CRAO were included in the study and divided into:A type(mild n=29),B type(moderate n=27)and C type(severe n=6)based on the degree of visual loss,retinal edema,and arterial blood flow delay in fundus fluorescence angiography(FFA).Contralateral healthy eyes were used as the control group.Best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),slit lamp microscopy,indirect ophthalmoscopy,fundus color photography,OCTA,and FFA were performed.Spearman’s correlation analysis was used to determine the correlations between retinal and choroidal vessels and visual acuity.RESULTS:There were no statistically significant differences in age,gender,and intraocular pressure among the three types and the control group(P>0.05).Vessel density in deep capillary plexus(VD-DCP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in all three types of NA-CRAO patients compared to the control group.Vessel density in superficial vascular plexus(VD-SVP)significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type A patients and choriocapillaris flow area significantly decreased(P<0.05)in type B and type C patients compared to the control group;while outer retinal flow areas significantly increased in the type A(P<0.05)and decreased in type C patients(P<0.05).The retinal thickness significantly increased in type C group(P<0.05).The VD-SVP at fovea in the type A was significantly lower than both of type B and C.The VD-SVP at nasal parafovea in type A and B was significantly lower than type C(P<0.05).The logMAR BCVA of type A was significantly better than that of type B and C groups(P<0.05).Spearman’s correlation analysis showed that the logMAR BCVA was positively correlated with VD-SVP at fovea(r=0.679,P=0.031)and nasal parafovea(r=0.826,P=0.013).CONCLUSION:OCTA is valuable for assessing retinal ischemia,and evaluatin

To reduce CO_(2) emissions in response to global climate change,shale reservoirs could be ideal candidates for long-term carbon geo-sequestration involving multi-scale transport processes.However,most current CO_(2) sequestration models do not adequately consider multiple transport mechanisms.Moreover,the evaluation of CO_(2) storage processes usually involves laborious and time-consuming numerical simulations unsuitable for practical prediction and decision-making.In this paper,an integrated model involving gas diffusion,adsorption,dissolution,slip flow,and Darcy flow is proposed to accurately characterize CO_(2) storage in depleted shale reservoirs,supporting the establishment of a training database.On this basis,a hybrid physics-informed data-driven neural network(HPDNN)is developed as a deep learning surrogate for prediction and inversion.By incorporating multiple sources of scientific knowledge,the HPDNN can be configured with limited simulation resources,significantly accelerating the forward and inversion processes.Furthermore,the HPDNN can more intelligently predict injection performance,precisely perform reservoir parameter inversion,and reasonably evaluate the CO_(2) storage capacity under complicated scenarios.The validation and test results demonstrate that the HPDNN can ensure high accuracy and strong robustness across an extensive applicability range when dealing with field data with multiple noise sources.This study has tremendous potential to replace traditional modeling tools for predicting and making decisions about CO_(2) storage projects in depleted shale reservoirs.

Glutamate excitotoxicity has been shown to play an important role in glaucoma, and glutamate can induce ferroptosis. The p38 mitogenactivated protein kinase(MAPK) pathway inhibitor SB202190 has a potential ability to suppress ferroptosis, and its downstream targets, such as p53, have been shown to be associated with ferroptosis. However, whether ferroptosis also occurs in retinal ganglion cells in response to glutamate excitotoxicity and whether inhibition of ferroptosis reduces the loss of retinal ganglion cells induced by glutamate excitotoxicity remain unclear. This study investigated ferroptosis in a glutamate-induced glaucoma rat model and explored the effects and molecular mechanisms of SB202190 on retinal ganglion cells. A glutamate-induced excitotoxicity model in R28 cells and an N-methyl-D-aspartate-induced glaucoma model in rats were used. In vitro experiments showed that glutamate induced the accumulation of iron and lipid peroxide and morphological changes of mitochondria in R28 cells, and SB202190 inhibited these changes. Glutamate induced the levels of p-p38 MAPK/p38 MAPK and SAT1 and decreased the expression levels of ferritin light chain, SLC7A11, and GPX4. SB202190 inhibited the expression of iron death-related proteins induced by glutamate. In vivo experiments showed that SB202190 attenuated N-methyl-D-aspartate-induced damage to rat retinal ganglion cells and improved visual function. These results suggest that SB202190 can inhibit ferroptosis and protect retinal ganglion cells by regulating ferritin light chain, SAT1, and SLC7A11/Gpx4 pathways and may represent a potential retina protectant.

The photocatalytic oxidative coupling of thiols is one of the most popular methods to synthesize the disulfides.Triphenylamine and its derivatives(TPAs)are promising for the above reaction,but suffer from the easy polymerization and difficult separation.To overcome these obstacles while controlling the photogenerated electrons transfer directly to target substrates,herein,we constructed one TPA-based metal-organic framework(MOF),(Me_(2)NH_(2))[Sr(TCBPA)]·DMA·3H_(2)O(1),by direct self-assembly of tris(4′-carboxybiphenyl)amine(H_(3)TCBPA)and photoredox inert strontium ion(Sr^(2+)).DFT calculations revealed that the valence band maximum(VBM)and the conduction band minimum(CBM)are mainly located on TCBPA^(3-),successfully inhibiting the undesirable electron migration to metal nodes.Experimental results indicated that 1 displays superior performance than homogeneous H_(3)TCBPA,which may result from the abundant π…π and C—H…π interactions between the well-arranged TCBPA^(3-)and the build-in electric field between the anionic framework and the Me_(2)NH^(2+).This work highlights that immobilizing TPAs into MOFs is one promising approach to designing heterogeneous photocatalysts for the synthesis of disulfides by oxidative coupling of thiols.

Effects of forsythin extract in Forsythia leaves on intestinal microbiota and short-chain fatty acids in rats fed a high-fat diet

Forsythia suspensa,belonging to the deciduous shrubs of the Luteaceae family,a traditional Chinese medicine,has effects of alleviating swelling,clearing heat,detoxification and promoting blood circulation.The leaves of F.suspensa contain multiple chemical components and have a long history of use in folk medicines and health foods.The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of forsythin extract from F.suspensa leaves on intestinal microbiota and short-chain fatty acid(SCFA)content in rats with obesity induced by a high-fat diet.Forsythin extract in F.suspensa leaves increased the abundance of the intestinal microbiota,ameliorated intestinal microbiota disorders and inhibited the increase in total SCFA content in the intestinal tract in rats with obesity induced by a high-fat diet.These results suggested that forsythin extract in F.suspensa leaves may slow the development of obesity induced by a high-fat diet;thus,its active components and efficacy are worthy of further study.
