Establishment of a prediction model for severe acute radiation enteritis associated with cervical cancer radiotherapy

Background:Rosa chinensis *** Rosa rugosa *** not only of ornamental value,but also edible flowers and the flower buds have been listed in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia as traditional *** two plants have some differences in efficacy,but the flower buds are easily confused for similar *** addition,large-scale cultivation of ornamental rose flowers may lead to a decrease in the effective components of medicinal ***,it is necessary to study the chemical composition and make quality evaluation of Rosae Chinensis Flos(Yueji)and Rosae Rugosae Flos(Meigui).Methods:In this study,40 batches of samples including Meigui and Yueji from different regions in China were collected to establish high-performance liquid chromatography ***,the fingerprints data was analyzed using principal component analysis,hierarchical cluster analysis,and partial least squares discriminant analysis analysis chemometrics to obtain information on intergroup differences,and non-targeted metabolomic techniques were applied to identify and compare chemical compositions of samples which were chosen from groups with large *** compounds were screened by orthogonal partial least-squares discriminant analysis and S-plot,and finally multi-component quantification was performed to comprehensively evaluate the quality of Yueji and ***:The similarity between the fingerprints of 40 batches roses and the reference print R was 0.73 to 0.93,indicating that there were similarities and differences between the *** principal component analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis of fingerprints data,the samples from different origins and varieties were intuitively divided into four *** least-squares discriminant analysis analysis showed that Meigui and Yueji cluster into two categories and the model was reliable.A total of 89 compounds were identified by high resolution mass spectrometry,mainly were flavonoids and flavon

Effects of surface roughness on CMAS corrosion behavior for thermal barrier coating applications

Calcium-magnesium-alumina-silicate (CMAS) corrosion is an important cause for thermal barrier coating (TBC) failure,which has attracted increased *** this study,some thermal barrier coating (TBC) materials including YSZ (yttria partially stabilized zirconia),GdPO_(4),and LaPO_(4) were prepared into bulks,and the effects of their surface roughness on wettability and spreading characteristics of molten CMAS were ***-fabricated and polished bulks with different surface roughness were exposed to CMAS corrosion at 1250 ℃ for 1 and 4 h,following by macro and micro *** revealed that compared with the as-fabricated bulks,molten CMAS on the polished samples had lower wettability and a smaller spreading area,mainly attributable to the reduced capillary force to drive the melt ***,GdPO_(4) and LaPO_(4) bulks exhibited lower CMAS wettability than YSZ *** is thus considered that reducing the surface roughness is beneficial to CMAS corrosion resistance of TBCs.

Variable projection algorithms with sparse constraint for separable nonlinear models

Separable nonlinear models are widely used in various fields such as time series analysis, system modeling, and machine learning, due to their flexible structures and ability to capture nonlinear behavior of data. However, identifying the parameters of these models is challenging, especially when sparse models with better interpretability are desired by practitioners. Previous theoretical and practical studies have shown that variable projection (VP) is an efficient method for identifying separable nonlinear models, but these are based on \(L_2\) penalty of model parameters, which cannot be directly extended to deal with sparse constraint. Based on the exploration of the structural characteristics of separable models, this paper proposes gradient-based and trust-region-based variable projection algorithms, which mainly solve two key problems: how to eliminate linear parameters under sparse constraint;and how to deal with the coupling relationship between linear and nonlinear parameters in the model. Finally, numerical experiments on synthetic data and real time series data are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Standing Waves of the Inhomogeneous Klein-Gordon Equations with Critical Exponent

This paper is concerned with the standing wave in the inhomogeneous nonlinear Klein- Gordon equations with critical exponent. Firstly, we obtain the existence of standing waves associated with the ground states by using variational calculus as well as a compactness lemma. Next, we establish some sharp conditions for global existence in terms of the characteristics of the ground state. Then, we show that how small the initial data are for the global solutions to exist. Finally, we prove the instability of the standing wave by combining the former results.

A new algorithm for computing the convex hull of a planar point set

When the edges of a convex polygon are traversed along one direction,the interior of the convex polygon is always on the same side of the edges. Based on this characteristic of convex polygons,a new algorithm for computing the convex hull of a simple polygon is proposed in this paper,which is then extended to a new algorithm for computing the convex hull of a planar point set. First,the extreme points of the planar point set are found,and the subsets of point candidate for vertex of the convex hull between extreme points are obtained. Then,the ordered convex hull point sequences between extreme points are constructed separately and concatenated by removing redundant extreme points to get the convex hull. The time complexity of the new planar convex hull algorithm is O(nlogh) ,which is equal to the time complexity of the best output-sensitive planar convex hull algorithms. Compared with the algorithm having the same complexity,the new algorithm is much faster.
