Comparative observation of the effectiveness and safety of remimazolam besylate versus dexmedetomidine in gastrointestinal surgery in obese patients

BACKGROUND Surgery for obese patients carries a higher risk of anesthesia complications compared with surgery for nonobese ***,a safe and effective anesthesia strategy is necessary to improve the medical experience of such patients and ensure their *** To compared the effectiveness and safety of remimazolam besylate versus dexmedetomidine(DEX)in gastrointestinal surgery in obese *** The study cohort included 60 obese patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery between July 2021 and April 2023,comprising 30 patients who received DEX intervention(control group)and 30 patients who received remimazolam besylate intervention(research group).Heart rate(HR),respiratory rate(RR),mean arterial pressure(MAP),blood oxygen saturation(SpO_(2)),safety(nausea and vomiting,bradycardia,hypotension,and apnea),anesthesia and examination indices[induction time,anesthesia recovery time,and postanesthesia care unit(PACU)discharge time],sedation effect(Ramsay Sedation Scale),and postoperative pain visual analog scale were comparatively analyzed before anesthesia(T0),during anesthesia(T1),and after anesthesia(T2).RESULTS At T1,the research group showed significantly smaller changes in HR,RR,MAP,and SpO_(2) than the control group,with a significantly lower adverse reaction rate and shorter induction,anesthesia recovery,and PACU discharge ***,the intra-and postoperative Ramsay Sedation Scale scores were statistically higher in the research group than in the control *** Remimazolam besylate was significantly more effective than DEX in gastrointestinal surgery in obese patients and had a higher safety profile and value in clinical promotion.

4-Hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase(EC 1.***.11.27,HPPD) is an important enzyme in the catabolism of tyrosine,which converts 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate(HPPA) into homogentisate(HGA).In plants,HGA is an important precursor for the biosynthesis of tocopherol and plastoquinone,two compounds crucial for the normal growth of *** HPPD is inhibited,the plant will be severely damaged by sunlight,becoming bleached and eventually undergoing necrosis and death. Inhibition of HPPD is one of the most promising modes of action of *** is widely reported that quinazoline-2,4-dione is an important chemical scaffolds,because these derivatives often posses a variety of biological activities,such as antitumor,anti-inflammatory,antidiabetic,anti-infective,and antiobesity properties. Although the derivatives of quinazoline-2,4-dione are extensively studied in medical chemistry,the research of them in agrochemicals is very scare,especially the herbicidal activity of them need to be further *** explore the herbicidal activity of quinazoline-2,4-dione derivatives,and study their HPPD-inhibiting activity,we designed and synthesized a series of novel triketone-containing quinazoline-2,*** in vitro tests indicated that many of the newly synthesized compounds displayed good AtHPPD inhibitory activity with K values ranging from 0.005 to 0.668 μ*** addition,the greenhouse experiments indicated that most of the synthesized compounds showed good or excellent herbicidal activity against broadleaf and monocotyledonous weeds at the dosages of 37.5-150 g ai/*** promisingly,some compounds showed significantly improved crop selectivity compared with mesotrione.

Acetylene/argon mixture plasma to build ultrathin carbon bridge of CF_(x)/C/MnO_(2) for high-rate lithium primary battery

Forming an ultrathin conducting layer on a fluorinated carbon(CFx)surface for reducing severe electrochemical polarization in lithium/fluorinated carbon primary batteries(Li/CF_(x))remains a considerable challenge for achieving batteries with excellent rate ***,CFxwas modified by using acetylene/argon mixture plasma combined with MnO_(2)*** CF_(x)/C/MnO_(2)composite effectively reduced the voltage hysteresis and improved the electrochemical performance of Li/CF_(x).The excellent rate performance of CF_(x)/C/MnO_(2)was due to the high electrochemical activity provided by the atomicscale conductive carbon layer and ultrafine MnO_(2)*** with pristine CF_(x),the charge transfer resistance of the optimized CF_(x)/C/MnO_(2)decreased from 218.5 to 48.2Ω,the discharge rate increased from 2C to 10C,and the power density increased from 3.11 to 13.44 kW·g^(-1),The intrinsic reason for the enhanced rate performance was attributed to the fact that the ultrathin carbon layer acted as a conductive bridge to reduce the voltage hysteresis at the initial stage of the Li/CF_(x)discharge,and the high electrochemical activity of the ultrafine MnO_(2)particles provided a faster lithium-ion diffusion rate.

The concept of insecticide-likeness is valuable to select more promising lead candidates during the early stages of drug discovery. We analyzed the physicochemical properties of commercial insecticides and optimized available drug-likeness scoring functions to quantitatively evaluate the insecticidal-like potential of compounds. An interactive plat-form named Insecticide Physicochemical-property Analysis Database（InsectiPAD） was developed, which covers 495 approved insecticides and over 22,200 related physicochemical properties. More importantly, it contains over 2,900 qualitative analysis and 1,500 quantitative scores for insecticides and provides comprehensive insecticide-likeness anal-ysis for any compounds. The accuracy and ability of InsectiPAD to distinguish known insecticides（positive sample） from other compounds（negative sample） was also assessed, which is around 75%. Simple input and efficient interpreta-tion are ensured to be useful and helpful for insecticides discovery.

The increasing prevalence of fungal diseases, continual development of resistance, and stringent environmental regulations have revealed an urgent need to develop more selective, safer, resistance-breaking, and cost-effective fungicides. However, most new fungicidal lead compounds fail in their late stages of development as a result of poor solubility or permeability, meaning that they have suboptimal physicochemical properties. Hence, the exploration of advanced technologies for compound "fungicide-likeness" assessment might overcome these obstacles and bring more chemical entities to market. fungi PAD（http://***/ccb/database/fungiPAD/） is a free platform employed to predict physicochemical properties, bioavailability, and fungicide-likeness swiftly and powerfully using comprehensive approaches, such as physicochemical radars and qualitative and quantitative analyses. This platform contains data for over 16?000 physicochemical descriptors and the results of 2200 qualitative and 1100 quantitative analyses of marketed fungicides and provides comprehensive fungicide-likeness analysis for different compounds. The user-friendly interface facilitates interpretation and manipulation by non-computational scientists in support of fungicide discovery.

Silicon(Si)has mild discharge potential and high theoretical capacity,making it a highly desirable material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Nevertheless,the excessive volume expansion,poor ion/electron conductiv ity and unstable solid electrolyte interface(SEI)hinde practical application to ***,the metallic antimony(Sb)stabilized porous Si(SiDSb)composite was prepared by magnesiothermic reduction of Sb_(2)O_(3)and Mg_(2)Si and chemical etching to remove the by-product of *** highly conductive Sb nanodots embedded in the Si liga ments promote not only the formation of conductive and stable LiF-rich SEI,but also the electron/ion transpor ability of *** to the outstanding bulk/interface stability,excellent conductivity,as well as ideal porous structure,the SiDSb electrode demonstrates a capacity of820 mAh·g^(-1)after undergoing 320 turns at 1000 mA·g^(-1).Additionally,it exhibits a stable capacity of 675 m Ah·g^(-1)when tested at a higher current density of 5000 m A·g^(-1).The results reveal a viable solution to solve three problems at the same time,namely the poor conductivity,inferior SEI and excessive volume expansion of Si,boding well for the design of Si-based materials for high-energy LIBs.
