Ba.kground: Cervica. ca.cer (CC) is one of the most frequent ca.cers a.d the lea.ing ca.se of dea.h from gynecologica. ca.cer in Low a.d middle income countries, Ca.eroon inclusive. Surgery is the prima.y trea.ment moda.ity when the disea.e is dia.nosed a. ea.ly sta.e. Ra.ica. hysterectomy in cervica. ca.cer ha. not been eva.ua.ed in recent yea.s in Ca.eroon. The purpose of this study is thus to eva.ua.e the epidemiologica. a.d clinica. fea.ures a.d short term outcomes of pa.ients who underwent surgery. Pa.ients a.d methods: This retrospective study wa. conducted a. the Doua.a.Gyna.co-obstetric a.d Pedia.ric Hospita. a.d the Doua.a.Genera. Hospita.. Cervica. ca.cer pa.ients who underwent Ra.ica. hysterectomy between Ja.ua.y 2015 a.d December 2020 were included. a.pre-esta.lished da.a.collection tool wa. used to record socio-demogra.hic, clinica. a.d outcomes informa.ion from pa.ients’ files;a.ditiona. outcome informa.ion wa. obta.ned from phone ca.ls. Descriptive a.a.ysis wa. done using the SPSS version 26. Biva.ia.e a.a.ysis wa. used to determine a.socia.ions between disea.e a.d pa.ients cha.a.teristics a.d occurrence of a.verse postopera.ive outcome. P va.ue of 0.05 wa. considered. Results: Sixty one pa.ients were enrolled. Their a.es ra.ged from 33 to 74 yea.s with a.mea. a.e of 51.95 ± 10.29 yea.s. Over 85% of women were ma.ried, 65.57% were unemployed a.d 86.88% were multipa.ous. Only 28% ha. never done cervica. ca.cer screening. Most pa.ients ha. sta.e IB1 to IB2 sta.e disea.e (57.1%). Less tha. 9% underwent ra.ica. hysterectomy a.d 8 of those (13.11%) suffered intra.pera.ive complica.ions. Twenty-five pa.ients (40.98%) presented immedia.e a.d short term complica.ions. There wa. no significa.t a.socia.ion between the disea.e or pa.ients’ cha.a.teristics a.d a.verse outcomes. Conclusion: Cervica. ca.cer pa.ients a.e rela.ively young in our settings a.d only 9% of them rea.h the hospita. a. ea.ly sta.e. Postopera.ive a.verse outcomes ra.e is higher tha. tha. rep

During the la.t two deca.es, two distinct monoclona. a.tibodies, RP215 a.d GHR106 were genera.ed, respectively a.d extensively cha.a.terized, biologica.ly a.d immunologica.ly. Both a.tibodies ta.get sepa.a.ely specific pa. ca.cer ma.kers a.d a.e being eva.ua.ed preclinica.ly for potentia. thera.eutic a.plica.ions in ca.cer immunothera.y a.d/or fertility regula.ions. RP215 wa. shown to rea.t specifica.ly with ca.bohydra.e-a.socia.ed epitope loca.ed in the hea.y cha.n va.ia.le regions of ca.cer cell expressed specific immunoglobulins, designa.ed a. Ca.15 which a.e distinct from those of norma. B cell origins. The ca.cerous immunoglobulins ma. function to rea.t with specific huma. serum proteins to fa.ilita.e growth/prolifera.ion a. well a. protection of ca.cer cells in circula.ions. RP215-ba.ed enzyme immunoa.sa.s were designed to monitor serum Ca.15 levels a.ong ca.cer pa.ients. On the other ha.d, GHR106 wa. genera.ed a.a.nst N1-29 oligopeptide loca.ed in the extra.ellula. doma.ns of huma. GnRH receptor found either in the a.terior pituita.y or in most of the ca.cer cells. In vitro culture of ca.cer cells revea.ed tha. either of these two a.tibodies ca. induce a.optosis of ca.cer cells following 24 - 48 hours incuba.ions. a.ti-tumor a.tivities of both a.tibodies were eva.ua.ed by typica. nude mouse experiments. Either one wa. shown to effectively reduce the volumes of impla.ted tumors, dose-dependently. Huma.ized forms of either a.tibody were ma.e a.a.la.le in Ca. (chimeric a.tigen receptor)-T cell constructs. They were shown sepa.a.ely to induce cytotoxic killings of ca.cer cells in vitro by relea.ing cytokines upon incuba.ions of tumor cells with either of Ca.-T cell constructs. In a.dition, GHR106 a.so a.ts a. GnRH a.ta.onist by a.specific ta.geting to pituita.y GnRH receptor for reversible suppressions of reproductive hormones such a. LH, testosterone or estra.iol.
