Let p(z)=∑v^n=0avz^v anzn be a polynomial of degree n,M(p,R)=:max|z|=R≥0|p(z)|and M(p,1)=:||p||.Then according to a well-known result of Ankeny and Rivlin[1],we have for R≥1,M(p,R≤(R^n+1/2)||p||.This inequality has been sharpened by govil[4],who proved that for R≥1,M(p,R)≤(R^N+1/2)||p||-n/2(||p||^2-4|an|^2/||p||){(R-1)||p||/||p||+2|an|-ln(1+(R-1)||p||/||p||+2|an|)}.In this paper,we sharpen the above inequality of govil[4],which in turn sharpens the inequality of Ankeny and Rivlin[1].

Let p_n(z)=∑_(k-0)~n a_kz^k be a polynomial of degree n such that |p_n(z)|≤M for |z|≤1. It is well. known that for 0≤upossible. In this paper we sharpen the above inequlity for polynomials p_n(z) having a zero on |z|=1 or (more generally) if |p_n(1)|=a, 0≤a≤1.

Let p（z） = a0＋a1z＋a2z^2＋a3z3＋…＋anz^n be a polynomial of degree n. Rivlin [12] proved that if p （z） ≠ 0 in the unit disk, then for 0 〈 r ≤ 1,max（｜r＋1｜/2）^n max｜p（z）｜.｜z｜=1In this paper, we prove a sharpening and generalization of this result and show by means of examples that for some polynomials our result can significantly improve the bound obtained by the Rivlin＇s Theorem.

This case study evaluates the seasonal variability of the pearson's linear correlation coefficient of land surface temperature(LST)with some spectral indices like NDVI,NDWI,NDBI,and NDBaI by using a series of Landsat images for 1991-92,1995-96,1999-00,2004-05,2009-10,2014-15,and *** results from the average correlation of the entire period of all-season show that the LST builds a positive correlation with NDBI(0.71)and NDBaI(0.52)while it builds a negative correlation with NDVI(-0.44).The LST-NDWI correlation is *** best correlation is noticed in the post-monsoon period,while the least correlation is observed in the winter *** study can support the environmental planning to build a sustainable city under a similar environment.

In the northeastern(NE) Arabian Sea,the fluctuation in terrestrial and freshwater runoff directly depends on southwest monsoon(SWM) precipitation as well as the meltwater flux provided by Indus ***,analysis of multi-proxy spectral signatures was carried out to trace the high-resolution SWM periodicities and their influence on the productivity,regional sea level fluctuations and depositional processes in the NE Arabian *** time series data of stable isotopes of oxygen(δ^18 O(***)).carbon(δ^13 C(***) and δ^13 C(org)) and nitrogen(δ^15 N).Total Organic Carbon(TOC),planktic-benthic foraminiferal ratio(p/B ratio) and>63 μm coarse fraction(CF) were used from two coastal sedimentary cores located offshore Saurashtra,NE Arabian Sea(Core Sk-240/485 having 88 m water depth;Core GC/Sk-240/496 having 174 m water depth).The REDFIT based spectral analysis recorded significant periodicities(>90% significance) in δ^18 0 time series centered at^1609,~667,~525,~296,~290 and^256 ***,the significant periodicities recorded in carbon isotopes time series(δ^13 C(***) and δ^13 C(org))centered at^681,~512,~471,~452,~438,~360,~292,~275,~269,~245 and^209 *** significant periodicities in TOC include^471 and-322 years whereas δ^15 N time series recorded significant periodicity centered at-360 *** significant periodicities in p/B ratio time series centered at^512,~388,~304,~250,~235,~217,~152,~139 and^135 years while CF recorded^268,~216,~209,~198,~188,~173 and^140 years significant *** observed periodicities in the multi-proxy record consist of similar cycles(within the radiocarbon dating error) which also natch with previously reported solar insolation influenced SWM and other global and regional ***,the stationarity of the data has been verified using wavelet analysis and shows similar periodicities as observed in REDFIT ***,the depositional behaviour was studied using correlation analysis of the common

Let p(z)=be a polynomial degree n and let Then accord-ing to Bernstein's inequality ||p'||p||.It is a well known open problem to obtain inequality analogous to Bernstein's inequality for the class IIn of polynomials satisfying p(z)≡znp(1/z)Here we obtain an inequality analogous to Bernstein's inequality for a subclass of IIn Our results include several of the known results as special cases.

The present demographic scenario of the country shows the rising trend of adult population. According to census report 2011, there are 60.3% people belonging to 15 to 59 years of age group and the percentage of people above 60+ age is 8.6%. Our country fails to provide due respect, care, affection, security and health related facilities, which elderly people utmost require. A number of cases of adult abuses are reported in news papers as these people are easy victims of violence and criminal activities. The society comes to know about only those problems, which are reported, the innumerable cases of disrespect and neglect are not given any consideration. The situation becomes all the more worst when perpetrators are very near relatives and in some cases blood relatives also. This growing insensitiveness is a threat to our society. Sincere efforts are needed to tackle this alarming problem. The present paper describes the available data [1]-[3] on the old people, their dependence ratio, the problems being faced by them and suggestive measures to provide social and emotional security to them.
