This work investigated the effect of dysprosium(Dy)ions on the structural,microstructural and magnetic properties of nickel nanospinelferrite,NiFe2 *** nanoparticles(NPs)of NiDyxFe(2-x)O4(0.0≤x≤0.1)were prepared via the hydrothermal *** formation of cubic phase of Ni nanoferrite was confirmed through X-ray diffraction,field emission scanning and transmission electron ***,the magnetic properties of NiDyxFe(2-x)P4(0.01≤x≤0.10)NPs were *** magnetization versus field,M(H)curves exhibit super paramagnetic nature at room temperature and ferrimagnetic nature at low temperature(10 K).A noticeable improvement in the different deduced magnetic parameters is obtained especially for the NiDy(0.07)Fe(1.93)O4(x=0.07)*** obtained result is mostly derived from the substitution of Fe^3+ions of smaller ionic radii with Dy^3+ions of larger ionic radii that will strengthen the super exchange interactions among *** calculated squareness ratios are found to be much less than 0.5,due to the effect of spin disorder in the surface regions of NiDyxFe(2-x)O4(0.01≤x≤0.10)*** Dy^3+ions substitution increases the magnetic hardness(higher values of remanence Mr,coercivity Hc,and magnetic moment nB)of nickel nanoferrite samples.

INTRODUCTIONHepatocyte growth factor (HGF) is a newly discovered multifunctional growth factor, and the most potent mitogen known for hepatocyte[1]. It has been shown that recombinant human HGF can protect animal liver against the damaging action of carbon tetrachloride[2]. However, the generation of HGF is also associated with certain liver diseases and several extra-hepatic diseases[3-5]. For example, after partial hepatectomy or carbon tetrachloride poisoning, HGF level in rat plasma increases markedly[3,4]. Therefore, it is believed that HGF plays an important role in the restoration and regeneration of liver after injury.

A series of thermodynamic functions are applied to generalize the Benedict-Webb-Rubin equation. The method has been successfully applied to this equation, which reduced the constants of BWR equation from eight to one. The calculation of PVT behavior of water over the entire thermodynamic surface is successful with satisfactory deviation.

In recent years, seasonal blooms of the dinoflagellate Noctiluca miliaris have appeared in the open-waters of the northern Arabian Sea （NAS）. This study provides the first characterization of bacteria from a seasonal bloom of green Noctiluca ofNAS （20°N-17°N and 64°E-70°E）, during the spring-inter-monsoon cruise ofSagar Sampada 253, in March 2007. Bacterial growth as assessed by most-probable number （MPN） and plate counts, revealed ＇variable-physiotypes＇ over a wide range of salinities （0%-25% w/v NaC1）, pH levels （5-8.5）, and organic nutrient strengths, in comparison to non-bloom waters. MPN indices of bacteria in surface waters of bloom stations ＊DWK and ＊PRB, corresponded to （3.08-4.41）×103 cells/mL at 3.5% NaC1 （w/v）, and （2.82-9.49）× 102 cells/mL at 25% （w/v） NaC1 in tryptone-yeast extract broth （TYE）. Plate counts were （1.12-4） × 106 CFU/mL at 0% （w/v） NaC1, （1.28-3.9） × 106 CFU/mL at 3.5% （w/v） NaC1, and （0.4- 7）×104 CFU/mL at 25% NaC1 （w/v） on TYE. One-tenth-strength Zobell＇s gave （0.6-3.74）× 105 CFU/mL at pH 5 to （3.58-7.5）× 105 CFU/mL at pH 8.5. These bacteria were identified to the genera Bacillus, Cellulomonas, Staphylococcus, Planococcus, Dietzia, Diergibacillus, Micrococcus, Sporosarcinae, Leucobacter, and Halomonas. The identity of three strains （GUFBSS253N2, GUFBSS253N30, and GUFBSS253N84） was confirmed through 16S rDNA sequence homology as Bacillus cohnii, Bacillusflexus, and Bacillus cereus. The -2-3-fold higher plate counts of culturable bacteria from the open-waters of the NAS indicate that these bacteria could critically determine the biogeochemical dynamics of the bloom and its milieu. The role of these bacteria in sustaining/terminating the bloom is under evaluation.

The offshore platform with bucket foundations is a;new type of offshore platform that distinguishes from traditional template platforms by replacing driven piles with bucket foundations. The suction penentration of bucket foundation is a complicated hydro-dynamic process. The key of this process is the seepage field caused by the difference of pressure applied on purpose inside and outside the bucket. The appearance and developement of seepage field has a decisive influence on the suction penetration process. In this study, the finite element analysis method is applied to the dynamic simulation of the seepage field of suction penetration of bucket foundation. A criterion is suggested to distinguish the hydro-dynamic stability of the soil inside the bucket according to the critical hydraulic gradient method. The reliability of the model and its applicability to engineering practice have been proved through comparison between the results of model test and finite element calculation.

POLYCHLORINATED biphenyls (PCBs) are a class of compounds of which some members are po-tential threats to the environment. A great deal of research has been carried out on various as-pects of PCBs, including the prediction of their gas chromatographic retention times, the pre-diction of their physical and chemical properties, the study of their toxic equivalency factor ap-proach and the elucidation of their active receptor models, the study of their environmental be-havior and treatment, and so on, all of them are related to their molecular structures.

PREVIOUS studies have shown that 50%—80% of the pollutant load in the snowpacks can be released with the first 30% of the meltwater. So the ion elution can alter the seasonal-layer distribution of chemical contents deposited in the snowpacks and form a new chemical distribution, which is preserved perpetually as the ice core record. In order to reconstruct the paleoclimate and paleo-environment from the ice core with high accuracy, it is necessary to determine the correlation of the chemical distribution between pre- and post-ion elution processes.
