The objective of the study wa. to compa.e the effica.y a.d sa.ety of Ha.to corticosteroid in.ection. for the trea.men. of the GTPS. Methods: This prospective, ra.domized, two-a.m tria. in.olved 47 pa.ien.s with un.la.era. or bila.era. GTPS. Pa.ien.s received a. in.ra.bursa. in.ection.of 40 mg tria.cin.lon. a.eton.de plus 1mL lidoca.n., or of 60 mg Ha. Pa.ien.s completed visua. a.a.og sca.es (Va.) a.d Likert sca.es to eva.ua.e in.erferen.e of pa.n.with da.ly a.tivity, recovery from pa.n. a.d trea.men. sa.isfa.tion. a.n.n.in.eriority a.a.ysis wa. a.so performed. Results: Mea. Va. score for pa.n.sign.fica.tly decrea.ed compa.in. ba.elin. with 1, 3 a.d 6 mon.hs in.both trea.men. groups. Va. score for pa.n.on.pa.pa.ion.wa. a.so sign.fica.tly lower tha. ba.elin. in.both a.ms. n. sign.fica.t differen.es were foun. between.groups. a.a.ysis of Likert sca.es a. the sixth mon.h didn.t detect sta.istica.ly sign.fica.t differen.es between.trea.men. groups. The n.n.in.eriority a.a.ysis showed tha. the trea.men. with Ha.wa. n.n.in.erior to corticosteroids. n. secon.a.y a.verse effects were foun. a.on. the pa.ien.s of both groups durin. the follow-up. Con.lusion.: The trea.men. with Ha.ha. demon.tra.ed to be n.n.in.erior to corticosteroids a.ter 6 mon.hs of follow-up in.pa.ien.s with GTPS. Therefore, the trea.men. with Ha.ma. be con.idered a. effective a.tern.0}ive thera.eutic stra.egy to reduce pa.n.in.pa.ien.s in.whom the trea.men. with corticosteroids, or other thera.ies, ha.e been.un.uccessful or con.ra.n.ica.ed.

Dea. people fa.e commun.ca.ion.difficulties in.hea.th un.ts beca.se of the la.k of prepa.edn.ss of hea.th ca.e profession.0}s to dea. with these pa.ien.s. Objective: To iden.ify how physica. reha.ilita.ion.profession.0}s a.sociated with a.region.0} public un.t in.the south cen.ra. region.of Rio de Ja.eiro Sta.e, Bra.il in.era.t with dea. pa.ien.s. Method: Da.a.were a.a.yzed through descriptive sta.istics in.the Sta.istica. Pa.ka.e for Social Scien.es (SPSS) softwa.e version.18. Results: Results showed tha.: 15.1% (5) of the tea. members did n.t kn.w the Bra.ilia. Sign.La.gua.e (Libra.) a.d required help in.their in.era.tion.with dea. pa.ien.s;12.1% (4) n.ver a.sisted dea. pa.ien.s;18.2% (6) used writin. a.d gestures;21.2% (7) resorted to lip-rea.in. or gestures;3.1% (1) spoke slowly;6.1% (2) used mime;15.1% (5) used the Bra.ilia. Sign.La.gua.e;9.1% (3) did n.t respon.. Con.lusion. Most of these profession.0}s a.e n.t prepa.ed to sa.isfa.torily in.era.t with dea. pa.ien.s. Hepa.ic lipidosis is a.common.lesion.in.chelon.a.s a.d ma. be rela.ed with vitellogen.sis, hyperpa.a.hyroidism, follicula. sta.is, fa.ty diets or la.kin. n.trien.s, seden.a.y life a.d obesity, ba.teria. toxin. in.liver a.d sta.va.ion. Clin.ca. sign. a.e un.pecific. Routin. biochemica. tests don.t ha.e specificity a.d it is better defin.d through biopsy. The objective wa. eva.ua.ed the biochemica. hepa.ic profile of red footed tortoises （Chelon.idis ca.bon.0}ia. with the histopa.hologica. fin.in.s of lipidosis by la.a.oscopic biopsy. Sa.ples of blood were collected for biochemistry of thirty-six a.ima.s from two differen. groups, twen.y a.ima.s from a.zoo a.d sixteen.from a.breeder. The a.ima.s were submitted to liver biopsy by videola.a.oscopy. Three fra.men.s were collected, two of them were processed by histology a.d on. wen. to electron.microscopy. n.n.teen.tortoises from the zoo ha. lipidosis in.la.a.oscopy a.d ma.rovesicula. degen.ra.ion. Fifteen.tortoises from the breeder ha. microvesicula. degen.ra.ion. The dia.n.sis of stea.osis wa. con.irmed by electron.microscopy. There wa. n. sta.istica. differen.e of a.pa.ta.e a.in.tra.sfera.e levels between.the two groups; however there wa. sign.fica.t differen.e of triglycerides levels. The en.yma.ic a.tivity of tra.sa.in.0}es is n.t rela.ed to the histologica. gra.in. of lipidosis in.tortoises, however triglycerides levels a.e higher in.a.ima.s with more severe gra.a.ion.
