Can Really Regularized Amplitudes Be Obtained as Consistent with Their Expected Symmetry Properties?

Through a very detailed investigation involving a set of simple perturbative amplitudes we show that the answer for the question put in the title of the present work is: undoubtedly NO! We are not restricting the sentence to the amplitudes which are considered as anomalous. The referred investigation is performed by using a procedure alternative to the traditional regularization methods. In the context of such a strategy the amplitudes are not modified in intermediary steps of the calculation, like traditional regularization procedures do, and only the validity of the linearity in the integration operation is assumed in the operations made in Feynman integrals typical of the perturbative calculations. The central point of the investigation is the question related to the consistent interpretation of the amplitudes. For these purposes, in all amplitudes having power counting indicating the possibility of divergences, the relations among Green functions, Ward identities and low energy limits are analyzed, in a model having different species of massive 1/2 spin fermions coupled to spin 0 and 1 (even and odd parity) boson fields, formulated in a space-time dimension D=1+1. We show that the maintenance of the linearity in operations involving Feynman integrals excludes the possibility of an anomalous term in the Ward identity relating the axial-vector and the pseudo-scalar-vector two point functions amplitudes. In addition, we show that it is not possible the maintenance of Ward identities and low energy limits in a consistent way if the amplitudes of the perturbative calculations are quantities to be regularized, just because there is no regularization method which is capable to give acceptable results for the divergent objects present in the calculations. This conclusion includes the Dimensional Regularization method which cannot give unique results if the linearity and the symmetric integration are simultaneously required in Feynman integrals. Coated boron layers by boronization and a real-time boron coating using an impurity powder dropper in the LHD

In the Large Helical Device(LHD),diborane(B2H6)is used as a standard boron source for boronization,which is assisted by helium glow *** 2019,a new Impurity Powder Dropper(IPD)system was installed and is under evaluation as a real-time wall conditioning *** the LHD,which is a large-sized heliotron device,an additional helium(He)glow discharge cleaning(GDC)after boronization was operated for a reduction in hydrogen recycling from the coated boron *** operational time of 3 h was determined by spectroscopic data during glow discharges.A flat hydrogen profile is obtained on the top surface of the coated boron on the specimen exposed to *** results suggest a reduction in hydrogen at the top surface by *** oxygen in coated boron was obtained by boronization,and the coated boron,which has boron-oxide,on the first wall by B-IPD was also *** the difference in coating areas between B2H6 boronization and B-IPD operation,it would be most effective to use the IPD and B2H6 boronization coating together for optimized wall conditioning.

Fetal MRI Artifacts: Semi-Supervised Generative Adversarial Neural Network for Motion Artifacts Reducing in Fetal Magnetic Resonance Images

This study addresses challenges in fetal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) related to motion artifacts, maternal respiration, and hardware limitations. To enhance MRI quality, we employ deep learning techniques, specifically utilizing Cycle GAN. Synthetic pairs of images, simulating artifacts in fetal MRI, are generated to train the model. Our primary contribution is the use of Cycle GAN for fetal MRI restoration, augmented by artificially corrupted data. We compare three approaches (supervised Cycle GAN, Pix2Pix, and Mobile Unet) for artifact removal. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed supervised Cycle GAN effectively removes artifacts while preserving image details, as validated through Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM) and normalized Mean Absolute Error (MAE). The method proves comparable to alternatives but avoids the generation of spurious regions, which is crucial for medical accuracy.

Stuck in a rut： Potential costs of sand roads to gopher tortoises Gopherus polyphemus

Roads affect wildlife significantly through direct mortality but also through behavioral change. We explored the ef- fects of unsurfaced sand roads with a low traffic volume on the travelling behavior of gopher tortoises Gopherus polyphemus in scrub habitat in central Florida, as evidenced by the tracks left by tortoises on sand roads. Tortoises （and most other taxa leaving tracks on the roads） did not appear to make use of roads for travel but attempted to cross them, the success of which was influ- enced by the size of the individual. Smaller animals （presumably younger tortoises） were more challenged than larger animals by both sand road widths and depths of vehicle ruts in sand roads. Sand roads may present both physical and physiological challenges to gopher tortoises, particularly to small ones. This research provides further evidence that the negative influence of roads in fragmenting the environment is not limited to vehicle mortality [Current Zoology 61 （4）： 578-585, 2015].

A meta-analytic review of Elliot's (1999) Hierarchical Model of Approach and Avoidance Motivation in the sport, physical activity, and physical education literature

Purpose: The purpose of this quantitative review was to summarize the state of Elliot's Hierarchical Model of Approach and Avoidance Motivation, specifically the antecedents of the 2 × 2 achievement goals in the sport, physical activity, and physical education literature. In addition,the intercorrelations amongst the 2 × 2 goals were also ***: A systematic review of the literature was conducted. Meta-analytic procedures were used with the mean weighted sample correlation(rw) as the effect size metric. The antecedents were coded by Elliot's(1999) antecedent categories. A number of moderators were coded a ***: Based on a fixed effects model from 47 published studies(total unique n = 15,413) that met inclusion criteria, the 2 × 2 achievement goals were significantly correlated amongst each other ranging from small to medium to large in meaningfulness. Concerning the antecedents, overall they were theoretically correct in associations, but only a few of the relationships were medium in meaningfulness. Most relationships were small in meaningfulness. Heterogeneity was present for the interrcorrelation and antecedent ***: Future research is encouraged to grow and enrich the understanding of achievement goals within Elliot's complete Hierarchical Model of Approach and Avoidance Motivation to include both antecedents and outcomes simultaneously to improve upon the understanding of achievement motivation in sport, exercise, and physical activity settings.

The increased level of chromosome instability in cancer cells,leading to aneuploidy and gross chromosomal rearrangements,is not only a driving force for oncogenesis but also can be the Achille’s heel of the disease since many chemotherapies(CT)kill cells by inducing a non-tolerable rate of DNA damage.A wealth of published evidence showed that telomere stability can be more affected than the bulk of the genome by several conventional antineoplasic *** results raise the interesting possibility that CT with genotoxic drugs preferentially target *** agreement with this view,accelerated shortening of telomere length has been described in blood lineage cells following high-dose CT(stem cell transplantation)or non-myeloablative ***,almost nothing is known on the consequences of this shortening in terms of telomere stability,senescence and on the development of second cancers or post-treatment aging-like syndromes in cancer survivors(cognitive defect,fertility impairment,etc.).In this article,we propose:(1)telomeres of cancer cells are preferential genomic targets of chemotherapies altering chromosome maintenance;(2)telomere functional parameters can be a surrogate marker of chemotherapy sensitivity and toxicity;(3)the use of anti-telomere molecule could greatly enhance the sensitivity to standards chemotherapies.

Partial Availability and RGBI Methods to Improve System Performance in Different Interval of Time: The Drill Facility System Case Study

The main objective of this study is to propose a methodology to define the operational availability for a system in different interval of time based on Monte Carlo simulation. In addition, it is also an objective to identify critical equipment in such interval of time and define when carrying out inspections to detect and prevent failures. Nowadays, many software packages which apply Monte Carlo simulation based on reliability diagram block do not show the operational availability defined by interval of time. In most of cases, there’s no result that shows how system performs in specific interval of time. Depending on situation, it’s important to define the operational availability by different interval of time in order to follow up system performance along time. In order to solve such problem, it is proposed the “partial availability methodology” based on system age. Indeed, such method regards equipment age based in different period of time that will results in Partial Availability. That means, as instance, in case of two years of simulation there will be the cumulative operational availability and partial operational availability results for first and second years for example. Therefore, it is also important to define the inspection time in each interval of time (year) in order to detect possible equipment failure and define preventive maintenance to avoid such failures that will be performed by RGBI method. In order to show such methodologies, it will be carried out a drill facility case study which is required to define operational availability of the system on the first and second years as well as inspection time.
