A 68-year-old man presented to the emergency depart-ment due to recurrent episodes of syncope and shortness ofbreath during the previous two days. Her medical historyincluded arterial hypertension and diabetes. She was nottaking any negative chronotropic drugs but she referred afhmilial history of fhtal pulmonary embolism and suddencardiac death. At admission, blood pressure, pulse rate andperipheral oxygen saturation were 88/60 mmHg.

It is generally believed that serious events are unlikely to result from atherosclerotic disease of a non-dominant hypoplastic right coronary artery (RCA). Left dominant coronary artery system are usually associated with higher in-hospital mortality among patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.[1,2] Nevertheless, clinical series or reports of right ventricle infarction, malignat arrhythmias and sudden death correlated to non-dominant RCA have been reported in the literature in the past years.[3,4] The specific contribute of non-dominant RCA disease on long-term follow-up in patients aged over 65 years has not been yet clarified.

The colours of metals have attracted the attention of humanity since ancient times,and coloured metals,in particular gold compounds,have been employed for tools and objects symbolizing the aesthetics of *** this work,we develop a comprehensive framework to obtain the reflectivity and colour of metals,and show that the trends in optical properties and the colours can be predicted by straightforward first-principles techniques based on standard *** apply this to predict reflectivity and colour of several elemental metals and of different types of metallic compounds(intermetallics,solid solutions and heterogeneous alloys),considering mainly binary alloys based on noble *** validate the numerical approach through an extensive comparison with experimental data and the photorealistic rendering of known coloured metals.

A novel dendritic europium complex containing grafted carbazole units as functional peripheries was synthesized and characterized. The Foerster energy transfer from the peripheries of carbazole units to β-diketonate as well as from the hgands to the central Eu（Ⅲ） ions in the complex was demonstrated. Under the excitation of carbazole units and β-diketonate, characteristic red emission peaks at 612 nm with four shoulders due to the Eu（Ⅲ） ion transition of 5^D0→7^FJ （J=0-4） were observed for the complex.

The Burgers＇ equation with uncertain initial and boundary conditions is approximated using a Polynomial Chaos Expansion （PCE） approach where the solution is represented as a series of stochastic, orthogonal polynomials. The resulting truncated PCE system is solved using a novel numerical discretization method based on spatial derivative operators satisfying the summation by parts property and weak boundary conditions to ensure stability. The resulting PCE solution yields an accurate quantitative description of the stochastic evolution of the system, provided that appropriate boundary conditions are available. The specification of the boundary data is shown to influence the solution; we will discuss the problematic implications of the lack of precisely characterized boundary data and possible ways of imposing stable and accurate boundary conditions.

Estimation of state-of-charge and state-of-health for batteries is one of the most important feature for modern battery management system(BMS).Robust or adaptive methods are the most investigated because a more intelligent BMS could lead to sensible cost reduction of the entire battery *** propose a new robust method,called ERMES(extendible range multi-model estimator),for determining an estimated state-of-charge(SoC),an estimated state-of-health(SoH)and a prediction of uncertainty of the estimates(state-of-uncertainty—SoU),thanks to which it is possible to monitor the validity of the estimates and adjust it,extending the robustness against a wider range of uncertainty,if ***,a finite number of models in state-space form are considered starting from a modified Thevenin battery *** model is characterized by a hypothesis of SoH *** iterated extended Kalman filter(EKF)is then applied to each model in parallel,estimating for each one the SoC state *** errors are then considered to fuse both the estimated SoC and SoH from the bank of EKF,yielding the overall SoC and SoH estimates,*** addition,a figure of uncertainty of such estimates is also provided.
