The productive performance of giant freshwater prawn （Macrobrachium rosenbergii de Man） fed diet containing silkworm pupae （Bombyx mori） replacing for fish meal was conducted by focusing on digestibility, growth performance and feed utilization. Five diets of an isonitrogenous of 35 ：e 1% crude protein and isocaloric of digestible energy of 3,200 ±100 kcal/kg were formulated by using silkworm pupae, 0%, 8.6%, 17.2%, 25.8% and 34.7% by weight, replaced for fish meal. Giant freshwater prawn of 19 ± 2.0 g were stocked at 5 ind./m3 in concrete tank of 2.25 ton for three months. The protein digestibility by pepsin enzyme was evaluated in fish meal, silkworm pupae, soybean meal and shrimp meal. The digestibility was significantly difference （P 〈 0.05）. The protein digestibility of fishmeal and soybean meal was higher than silkworm pupae and shrimp meal. The productive performance of prawn in terms of growth rate and feed utilization were not significantly different （P 〉 0.05）. Therefore, silkworm pupae can be replaced for fishmeal in giant freshwater prawn （Macrobrachium rosenbergii de Man） without any adverse effects on productive performance.

objective: To describe the mechanism, injury pattern and management of women who present to the Emergency Department with non-obstetric vaginal trauma. Methods: A retrospective, single institution case series was carried out. Data was sourced from medical records of women who presented to the Emergency Department and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital between 2007 and 2011. Records of possible injuries to the vagina were assessed to determine incidence, age, site, type of injury, mechanism of injury and whether urinary retention required treatment. Results: Vaginal non-obstetric trauma was found in 11 of 519 cases resulting in lacerations or tears. Injuries were due to consensual coitus, other forms of sexual activity and self harm. Acute urinary retention did not occur in any case but two cases required resuscitation. Site of injury was most common high in the vagina. Conclusion: Non-obstetric vaginal injuries are uncommon (incidence 2.1%). All cases require assessment for vulvar, vaginal, urethral, anal and bony pelvis injuries. This may require examination under anaesthesia. Social worker and psychological support is important to reduce the incidence of long-term psychological problems.

Purpose:The relevance of the study is that today,there is no unanimous position on the right to euthanasia *** European Court of Human Rights(ECtHR),in making its decision,relies on the national legislation of the respective state,as there is no single decision on the right to euthanasia in the European ***,the aim of the article is to comprehensively study the phenomenon of euthanasia,elaborate the decisions of the ECtHR on euthanasia and related rights,and develop recommendations on the possibility of legalizing euthanasia in Ukraine and prospects for the right to die ***:The leading method of research of this issue is comparative and law,which allows to comprehensively consider the right to euthanasia and its positive and negative components and helps to establish trends in the implementation of the outlined ***:The article analyzes the current state of international and domestic legislation of some states on the use of euthanasia,reveals the meaning of the term“euthanasia,”provides a classification of euthanasia,analyzes the decisions of the ECtHR,and presents examples of national legislation of states within which euthanasia is legalized,the peculiarities of euthanasia recognition in the world are analyzed,as well as the research on the possibility of euthanasia legalization in Ukraine is ***:The materials of the article have practical value for all those interested in euthanasia and the realization of the right to die,as well as for practicing lawyers and judicial authorities.

Bladder cancer(BC)is one of the most frequently diagnosed types of urinary *** advances in treatment methods,no specific biomarkers are currently in *** and untargeted profiling of metabolites and elements of human blood serum from 100 BC patients and the same number of normal controls(NCs),with external validation,was attempted using three analytical methods,i.e.,nuclear magnetic resonance,gold and silver-109 nanoparticle-based laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry(LDI-MS),and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry(ICP-oES).All results were subjected to multivariate statistical *** potential serum biomarkers of BC,namely,isobutyrate,pyroglutamate,choline,and acetate,were quantified with proton nuclear magnetic resonance,which had excellent predictive ability as judged by the area under the curve(AUC)value of *** elements,Li and Fe,were also found to distinguish between cancer and control samples,as judged from ICP-oES data and AUC of 0.807(in validation set).Twenty-five putatively identified compounds,mostly related to glycans and lipids,differentiated BC from NCs,as detected using *** serum metabolites were found to discriminate between tumor grades and nine metabolites between tumor *** results from three different analytical platforms demonstrate that the identified distinct serum metabolites and metal elements have potential to be used for noninvasive detection,staging,and grading of BC.

ong>Background:ong> Geophagy is the consumption of earth materials which occurs across several cultures. For several reasons, pregnant women in many parts of West Africa including Nigeria frequently consume kaolin. This study was carried out to determine the influence of kaolin consumption on serum electrolytes, glucose and amylase levels of pregnant women attending antenatal clinic in a Teaching Hospital in the south east Nigeria. ong>Methods: ong>A total of eighty pregnant women recruited for this study were grouped as follows;Group 1, (30 geophagic pregnant women in the first trimester), Group 2 (30 geophagic pregnant women in the second trimester) and Group 3 (20 non-geophagic pregnant women that served as control). Subjects in Groups 1 and 2 were subdivided into three based on the quantity of kaolin consumed per week: group A (100 g/week), group B (150 g/week) and group C (200 g/week). Preliminary analysis of the calcium content of kaolin was carried out. Serum levels of potassium, sodium, chloride, bicarbonate, glucose and amylase of the subjects were determined. ong>Results:ong> Calcium level in kaolin was below the recommended daily intake in food. The concentrations of potassium in geophagic pregnant women who consumed 150 g and 200 g of kaolin per week were significantly (p ower in both 1st and 2nd trimester groups., There was a significant (p odium concentration (132.2 ± 2.0) of the 2nd trimester pregnant women that consumed 200 g of kaolin per week. Background: Low shear stress caused by disturbed or turbulent flow at arterial branch points is known to associate with atherosclerosis. However, shear stress at the venous valve location and its association with deep vein thrombosis are less understood due to the complex and poorly understood bi-directional flow in the valve pocket region. We investigated how venous endothelial cells respond to flow shear stress around the venous valve region using a novel in vitro system that mimics venous flow. Results: Human umbilical vein EAhy. 926 cells were cultured on a flexible silastic membrane that mimicked venous tissue. Confluent cells were exposed to sinusoidal uni-and bi-directional pulsatile shear stress (0.1 to 1 dyne/cm2) for up to 6 h. Western-blot analyses indicated that endothelial nitric oxide (eNoS) expression levels decreased regardless of all tested flow patterns, stress magnitude, and shearing time. In contrast, the expression levels of inhibitor of κB (kappa B) and α (alpha)-tubulin were unaffected by the shear stress. Conclusions: our results indicate that shear stress causes a decrease specifically in eNoS expression, suggesting that it may play a significant role in regulating inflammation related protein expression in endothelial cells.

We study two generalized versions of a system of equations which describe the time evolution of the hydrodynamic fluctuations of density and velocity in a linear viscoelastic fluid. In the first of these versions, the time derivatives are replaced by conformable derivatives, and in the second version left-handed Caputo’s derivatives are used. We show that the solutions obtained with these two types of derivatives exhibit significant similarities, which is an interesting (and somewhat surprising) result, taking into account that the conformable derivatives are local operators, while Caputo’s derivatives are nonlocal operators. We also show that the solutions of the generalized systems are similar to the solutions of the original system, if the order α of the new derivatives (conformable or Caputo) is less than one. on the other hand, when α is greater than one, the solutions of the generalized systems are qualitatively different from the solutions of the original system.
