Gully erosion is one of the most important forms of land degradation in many regions of the *** the process of gully erosion therefore is important for better management of the wa-tersheds prone to gully ***,many different aspects of gully erosion,like hydrological behavior,are still not fully *** present study investigates the spatial distribution of soil moisture content(SMC),as one of the hydrological factors,at different depths and points across the cross section in the vicinity of the headcut of three gullies located in the Kalat County,Khorasan Razavi Province,*** were measured at depths of 10,20,30,50,70 and 100 cm at each seven points across the study cross sections one to three days after occurrence of three rain *** sampling points were symmetrically located at a distance of 50 cm outside the gully banks,two at the vertex of the sidewalls,two in the middle of the sidewalls and one at the center of gully cross *** were measured using a weighted *** of the study revealed a broad range of changes in SMCs at various depths and *** minimum and maximum SMCs were found to be about 2%and 38%,respectively,for the study period and gullies under *** coefficient of variation(CV)had drastic changes for various gullies and storm events from 2 to 107%.Results further indicated that SMC moved from the sidewalls towards the floor of the cross ***,the maximum SMC for storm events was associated with the point located in the center of gullies,which indicated the role of gully system in draining soil *** findings of this study will help watershed managers un-derstand the important role of gully facies in changing water content of the soil that affects other eco-hydrological processes.

Projections on Weak*-closed Subspace of Dual Banach Algebras

Our first purpose in this paper is to provide necessary conditions for a weak＊-closed translation invariant subspace in the semigroup algebra of a locally compact topological foundation semigroup to be completely complemented. We give conditions when a weak＊-closed left translation invariant subspace in Ma,（S）＊ of a compact cancellative foundation semigroup S is the range of a weak＊-weak＊ continuous projection on M~,（S）＊ commuting with translations. Let G be a locally compact group and A be a Banach G-module. Our second purpose in this paper is to study some projections on A＊ and /3（A＊） which commutes with translations and convolution.

Γ-amenability of Locally Compact Groups

Let G be a locally compact group and let F be a closed subgroup of G × G. Pier introduced the notion of F-amenability which gives a new classification of groups. This concept generalizes the concept of amenability and inner amenability for locally compact groups. In this paper, among other things, we extend some standard results for amenable groups to F-amenable groups and give various characterizations for F-amenable groups. A sequence of characterizations of F-amenable groups is given here by developing the well-known Flner＇s conditions for amenable locally compact groups. Several characterizations of inner amenability are also given.

For locally compact groups G, Kuan Yuan studied a notion of inner amenability groups, that is, if there exists an inner invariant mean on G. In this article, among other things, the author investigates the inner amenability on a locally compact group G. The author gives sufficient conditions and some necessary conditions about G to have an inner invariant mean.

Characterization of Operators on the Dual of Hypergroups which Commute with Translations and Convolutions

For a locally compact group G, L 1(G) is its group algebra and L ∞(G) is the dual of L 1(G). Lau has studied the bounded linear operators T : L ∞(G) → L ∞(G) which commute with convolutions and translations. For a subspace H of L ∞(G), we know that M(L ∞(G),H), the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators on L ∞(G) into H which commute with convolutions, has been studied by Pym and Lau. In this paper, we generalize these problems to L(K)*, the dual of a hypergroup algebra L(K) in a very general setting, i. e. we do not assume that K admits a Haar measure. It should be noted that these algebras include not only the group algebra L 1(G) but also most of the semigroup algebras. Compact hypergroups have a Haar measure, however, in general it is not known that every hypergroup has a Haar measure. The lack of the Haar measure and involution presents many difficulties; however, we succeed in getting some interesting results.

Filtration and membrane separation are popular methods in gas separation since they are cost and energy efficient. Despite to air filters, there are comparatively few studies on dry gas filters, particularly at industrial scale. In fact, major unsolved challenges such as high efficiency, low pressure drop, long-term stability, high-thermal and chemical stability and advanced physiochemical properties, are still remained. The aim of this review is to scrutinize the advanced scientific and technological practices (such as selection of appropriate polymeric materials and additives, nanotechnology, modification techniques and preparation methods) towards design and fabrication of an efficient filter media for solid particles removal from the natural gas flow. Recent progresses in solid particle separation mechanisms, modeling and simulation techniques and the effect of membrane fabrication methods on its performance, strategies for modification of filter media, current challenges and future perspective are discussed.

Cavity Control of Prefoldin Nano Actuator (PNA) by Temperature and pH

A molecular dynamics study to investigate the cavity control of Prefoldin based bio nano actuator is presented in this paper. Prefoldin is a molecular chaperone with a jellyfish-like structure containing six long coiled-coil tentacles and a large central cavity. We took the temperature and p H of the medium into account,and analyzed the conformational flexibility of the Prefoldin nano actuator in details. Results show that the prefoldin is a very flexible protein, the conformational state of which appears to depend on the temperature and p H values of the medium. In fact, combining these two control parameters, a suitable environment is provided to capture nano cargoes with specific dimensions. These properties of Prefoldin actuator can be used for drug delivery in the body.

The effect of finite duration inputs on the dynamics of a system： Proposing a new approach for cancer treatment

In this paper, a principal question regarding the effect of inputs on the characteristics of dynamic systems is discussed. Whether an input implemented only for a limited duration, can change the characteristics of a dynamic system such that the behavior of the free system, after eliminating the input, differs from that before acting the input？ In this paper, it is shown that a limited time acted input is not able to change the dynamical properties of a system after its elimination. Regarding the proposed approach, a novel finite duration treatment method is developed for a tumor-immune system. The vaccine therapy is used to change the parameters of the system and the chemotherapy is applied for pushing the system to the domain of attraction of the healthy state. For optimal chemotherapy, an optimal control is used based on state-dependent Riccati equation （SDRE）. It is shown that, in spite of eliminating the treatment （therapeutic inputs）, the system approaches to healthy state conditions. The present analysis suggests that a proper treatment method must change the dynamics of the cancer instead of only reducing the population of cancer cells.

Computation of the structure of a magnetized strange quark star

We have calculated some properties of spin polarized strange quark matter（SQM） in a strong magnetic field at zero temperature using the MIT bag *** showed that the equation of state of spin polarized SQM is stiffer than that for unpolarized *** have also computed the structural properties of a spin polarized strange quark star（SQS） and found that the presence of a magnetic field leads to a more stable SQS when compared to the structural properties of an unpolarized SQS.
