One of the most important parameters in meteorology is the mean wind proﬁle in the tropical cyclone boundary *** vertical proﬁle of wind speed and wind direction were measured during the period of the Nisarga cyclone from may 31st,2020,to June 5th,2020,using the newly installed Phased Array doppler Sodar system at the Center for Space and Atmospheric Science(CSAS),Sanjay Ghodawat University,Kolhapur(16.74◦N,74.37◦E;near India's western coast).Our analysis revealed that the maximum mean wind speed was 17 m/s on June 3,2020,at 10:00 *** also shows the change in wind direction from southwest to southeast on June 2 and 3,*** high-resolution reanalysis data in the domain,0–25◦N,65–110◦E,during the period from may 31st to June 5th,2020,revealed the variation of the atmospheric pressure of the Nisarga cyclone from 1000 to 1008 hPa,sea surface temperature(SSt)between 30◦C and 31◦C,outgoing longwave radiation(OLR)between 100 and 240 Wm-2,wind speed between 3 and 15 m/s,and low values of vertical wind shear(VWS)were observed to the north of Nisarga *** observations may provide more insights for the study of boundary layer turbulence during cyclonic activities.

the identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses perform.d.at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard m.d.l measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the AtLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 teV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the AtLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 teV and for multiple tagger working points.

Uncovering electron scattering mechanisms in NiFeCoCrmn derived concentrated solid solution and high entropy alloys

Whilst it has long been known that disorder profoundly affects transport properties,recent measurements on a series of solid solution 3d-transition metal alloys reveal two orders of magnitude variations in the residual *** ab initio methods,we demonstrate that,while the carrier density of all alloys is as high as in normal metals,the electron mean-free-path can vary from~10Å(strong scattering limit)to~103Å(weak scattering limit).Here,we delineate the underlying electron scattering mechanisms responsible for this disparate *** site-diagonal,spin dependent,potential scattering is always dominant,for alloys containing only Fe,Co,and Ni the majority-spin channel experiences negligible disorder scattering,thereby providing a short circuit,while for Cr/mn containing alloys both spin channels experience strong disorder scattering due to an electron filling *** surprisingly,other scattering mechanisms-including displacement,or size effect,scattering which has been shown to strongly correlate with such diverse properties as yield strength—are found to be relatively weak in most cases.

the reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS) has been recognized as an essential enabling technology for sixth-generation(6G) mobile communication networks. An RIS comprises a large number of small and low-cost reflecting elements whose parameters can be dynamically adjusted with a programmable *** of these elements can effectively reflect a phase-shifted version of the incident electromagnetic wave. By configuring the wave phases in real time, the propagation environment of the information-bearing signals can be dynamically manipulated to enhance communication reliability, boost transmission rate, expand cellular coverage, and strengthen communication security. In this study, we provide an overview on RIS-assisted wireless communications. Specifically, we elaborate on the state-of-the-art enabling techniques for the RIS technology as well as their corresponding substantial benefits from the perspectives of RIS reflection and RIS m.d.lation. With these benefits, we envision the integration of RISs into emerging applications for6G. In addition, communication security is of unprecedented importance in future 6G networks with ubiquitous wireless services in multifarious verticals and areas. We highlight potential contributions of RISs to physical-layer security, in terms of secrecy rate and secrecy outage probability, exemplified by a typical case study from both theoretical and numerical aspects. Finally, we discuss challenges and opportunities on the deployment of RISs in practice to motivate future research.

Primary Chondrosarcoma of the Chest Wall— A Case Report

A 60-year-old Hispanic male presented to his primary care physician office with an asymptomatic, but palpable right anterior chest wall mass. Initial work up of the finding included a Ct scan of the chest which revealed a non-calcified, solid right anterior chest wall mass with invasion of the anterior fifth rib and intercostal space. the patient was presented at multidisciplinary conference with the patient’s primary physician, a m.d.cal oncologist, radiologist, pathologist and oncologic surgeon in attendance. the decision was to perform surgical resection of the mass to treat this primary mesenchymal malignancy. the anterior aspect of the fifth rib and intercostal muscles were resected with negative margins. Pathology confirm.d.the mass to be a low-grade chondrosarcoma. due to the low-grade nature, low metastatic potential and negative margins of the tumor, the decision was m.d. not to pursue adjuvant chemotherapy or radiation therapy. the patient m.d. full recovery.

Sustainable development denotes the enhancement ofliving standards in the present without compromising future generations'*** development Goals(SdGs)quantify the accomplishment of sustainable development and pave the way for a world worth living in for future *** can contribute to the achievement of the SdGs by guiding the actions of practitioners based on the analysis of SdG data,as intended by this *** propose a framework of algorithms based on dimensionality reduction methods with the use of Hilbert Space Filling Curves(HSFCs)in order to semantically cluster new uncategorised SdG data and novel indicators,and efficiently place them in the environment of a distributed knowledge graph ***,a framework of algorithms for insertion of new indicators and projection on the HSFC curve based on their transformer-based similarity assessment,for retrieval of indicators and loadbalancing along with an approach for data classification of entrant-indicators is ***,a thorough case study in a distributed knowledge graph environment experimentally evaluates our *** results are presented and discussed in light of theory along with the actual impact that can have for practitioners analysing SdG data,including intergovernmental organizations,government agencies and social welfare *** approach empowers SdG knowledge graphs for causal analysis,inference,and manifold interpretations of the societal implications of SdG-related actions,as data are accessed in reduced retrieval *** facilitates quicker measurement of influence of users and communities on specific goals and serves for faster distributed knowledge matching,as semantic cohesion of data is preserved.
