Purpose. Post-ope.ative.radiothe.apy (PORT) for re.e.te. cutane.us squamous ce.l carcinoma (CSCC) with pe.ine.ral invasion (PNI) is controve.sial. The.e.ore. we.conducte. a surve. to re.ie. tre.tme.t re.omme.dations among Radiation Oncologists (ROs) in the.manage.e.t of CSCC with PNI. Mate.ials & Me.hods: In March 2011, we.contacte. all ROs and traine.s in the.US through e.ail addre.se. liste. in the.2009 ASTRO dire.tory. Our we.-base. surve. pre.e.te. clinical vigne.te. involving Mohs micrographically re.e.te. CSCC with microscopic PNI (mPNI) or clinical PNI (cPNI). For e.ch vigne.te. ROs we.e.aske. to indicate.if PORT was appropriate.and to furthe. spe.ify the.dose.and volume.to tre.t. Re.ults: Thre. hundre. fifty two re.ponse. we.e.comple.e. and analyze.. The.majority of ROs (72%) had ove. 10 ye.rs of post re.ide.cy e.pe.ie.ce. 64% of the.sample. ROs had a spe.ial inte.e.t in tre.ting he.d and ne.k cance.s, and 64% tre.te. 4 or more.case. pe. ye.r. Approximate.y 95% re.omme.de. PORT for cPNI whe.e.s 59% re.omme.de. PORT for mPNI. Post re.ide.cy e.pe.ie.ce.(10+ yrs vs. e. with a gre.te. prope.sity to re.omme.d PORT for mPNI (48% vs. 30%, p = 0.005) and for mPNI of de.p subcutane.us non-name. ne.ve.involve.e.t (80% vs. 60%, p = 0.001). ROs tre.ting 8 or more.case. pe. ye.r (vs. e.e.more.like.y to re.omme.d PORT for mPNI in immunocompromise. patie.ts (74% vs. 57%, p = 0.01). Conclusions: Our study de.onstrate. significant variability among ROs in the.manage.e.t of CSCC with mPNI. For case. of cPNI, an ove.whe.ming majority re.omme.de. PORT. In case. of mPNI, the.e.was no conse.sus for re.omme.ding PORT, although e.pe.ie.ce. practitione.s had a lowe. thre.hold for offe.ing tre.tme.t. The.e.re.ults indicate.the.ne.d for prospe.tive.clinical studie. to clarify the.role.of PORT in CSCC patie.ts with mPNI.

家禽红螨(鸡皮刺螨)严重威胁世界各地的家禽生产和母鸡健康。鸡皮刺螨不但逐渐被认为是疫病重要的载体,而且有越来越多的报告显示其还可攻击包括人类在内的其他宿主,可见这种害虫对经济的影响变得越来越严重。随着世界各地的家禽生产逐渐脱离传统的笼养方式,鸡皮刺螨在禽群中的影响将变得更加普遍,防控将变得更加困难。尽管已有耐药性和治疗失败的报告,但鸡皮刺螨的防治仍以合成杀螨剂为主。目前在鸡皮刺螨及螨虫管理的专项研究报告中已经提出一些替代防治措施。尽管许多替代防治措施仍处于商业化前期阶段,但仍有部分措施已经逐渐进入市场。本综述汇集了日益扩充的鸡皮刺螨的研究,并评估了其当前和未来可供选择的防控措施。得出的结论是,鸡皮刺螨防治的重大进展最有可能来自综合防控的措施,将最新的研究融入到现有的和新型的防治策略中,这种融合将改进的监测和建模相结合,更好地为治疗和干预该病提供信息支持。

In the.race.to de.ive. cle.n wate. to communitie. through potable.wate. re.se. disinfe.tion and wate. quality asse.sme.t are.and will continue.to be.fundame.tal factors. The.e.are.ove. 700 disinfe.tion byproducts(DBPs) in wate.;e.aluating e.ch compound is practically impossible.and ve.y time.consuming. A bioanalytical approach could be.an answe. to this challe.ge. In this work, the.re.ponse.of four major classe. of DBPs toward mitochondrial me.brane.pote.tial( Δψm) and cytoplasmic ade.osine.triphosphate.C-ATP) was inve.tigate. with human carcinoma(He. G2) ce.ls. Within 90 min of ce.l e.posure. only the.haloace.ic acid(HAA) mixture.cause. a cytotoxic re.ponse.as me.sure. by C-ATP. All four groups(haloace.onitrile.(HANs), trihalome.hane.(THMs), nitrosamine.(NOAs), and HAAs) re.ponde. we.l to Δψm, R 2 > 0.70. Base. on the.half-maximum conce.tration that e.oke. a 50% re.ponse.in Δψm, the.re.ponse.gradie.t was HANs >> HAAs ~ THM > NOAs. The.inhibition of the.Δψm by HANs is drive. by dibromoace.onitrile.DBAN), while.dichloroace.onitrile.DCAN) did not cause.a significant change.in the.Δψm at le.s than 2000 μM. A mixture.of HANs e.hibite. an antagonistic be.avior on the.Δψm compare. to individual compounds. If wate. sample. are.conce.trate. to incre.se.HAN conce.trations, e.pe.ially DBAN, the. Δψm could be.use. as a biomonitoring tool for DBP toxicity.
