The present work aims to explain more deeply the theory of the image of tourist destination and its process of formation, specifically regarding the factors that influence the above-mentioned process. For this purpose, the knowledge of two fields of study, the image of the tourist destination and the corporate image, is combined in order to analyse their possible interdependent relationship. To explore the possible relations between both elements, a theoretical model has been developed and confirmed using a survey carried out on a sample of 307 Korean citizens. The results reveal that the degree of familiarity of the Spanish companies in South Korea can be considered to be a more influential factor in the image of Spain as a tourist destination. This fact might have important economic implications, since tourism is turning into a key driver of socio-economic progress.

Vaginal infections are suffered by millions of women of reproductive age. Recent research has shown that timely diagnosis of these infections avoids complications in the patient’s health. Since the symptoms of infections caused by yeast and bacteria are similar, the patient is not always treated properly. Membranes with three different thicknesses (66 μm, 83 μm, 128 μm) were produced by electrospinning of polylactic polymer (PLA) and were used as a biological sieve to detect microorganisms present in vaginal infections, bacteria or yeasts. Electrospinning technique is a technique that allows the generation of membranes from nanofibers of material polymeric and therefore, obtaining porous structures. The size of the fibers was observed as well as the morphology and the size of the pores, using the scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The effectiveness of these membranes was proven by the cultivation of the bacteria that passed through the polymeric membrane and the yeasts retained by it. The membranes allowed the retention of yeasts of Candida albicans type with dimensions of 7 μm, which allowed the separation of Brevibacterium ravens purgense bacteria with dimensions of 1.4 μm, thus demonstrating their effectiveness as biological sieve.

AIM:To determine the incidence and characteristics of intestinal and extra-intestinal cancers among patients with inflammatory bowel disease in a Spanish hospital and to compare them with those of the local ***:This was a prospective,observational,7-year follow-up,cohort *** incidence,incidence rates based on person-years of follow-up and relative risk were calculated for patients with inflammatory bowel disease and compared with the background *** incidence of cancer was determined using a hospital-based data registry from Hospital Universitario de *** data and details about time from diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease to occurrence of cancer,disease extent,inflammatory bowel disease treatment,cancer therapy and cancer evolution were also collected in the inflammatory bowel disease ***:Eighteen of 590 patients with inflammatory bowel disease developed cancer[cumulative incidence=3%(95%CI:1.58-4.52)vs 2%(95%CI:1.99-2.11)in the background population;RR=1.5;95%CI:0.97-2.29].The cancer incidence among inflammatory bowel disease patients was 0.53%(95%CI:0.32-0.84)per patient-year of *** with inflammatory bowel disease had a significantly increased relative risk of urothelial carcinoma(RR=5.23,95%CI:1.95-13.87),appendiceal mucinous cystadenoma(RR=36.6,95%CI:7.92-138.4),neuroendocrine carcinoma(RR=13.1,95%CI:1.82-29.7)and rectal carcinoid(RR=8.94,95%CI:1.18-59.7).Colorectal cancer cases were not ***:The overall risk of cancer did not significantly increase in our inflammatory bowel disease ***,there was an increased risk of urinary bladder cancer and,with less statistical power,an increased risk of appendiceal mucinous cystadenoma and of neuroendocrine *** cancer risk was low in our series.

The results of the present study indicate that glandless cottonseed meal (CSM) can be incorporated in extruded corn flour snacks at a 10% content level, which increases snack protein content to 12.8% and reduce fat content to 6.2%. To improve snacks’ nutritional quality, CSM and corn flour were extruded using a simple screw extruder. An expansion index (EI) ranging of 1.2 - 4.7 was obtained. Penetration force (PF) was 7 - 9 times harder than other extruded products. High extrusion temperature and high CSM concentrations decreased (p p pndex. Extrusion conditions used showed a 68.5% starch gelatinization, and a starch availability of more than 97%, which explains the high expansion index obtained.

AIM To validate intracellular cytokine production functional assay as means of cell-mediated immunity monitoring of post-transplant patients with opportunistic infection(OI).METHODS Intracellular cytokine-producing CD4^+ and CD8^+ T-cell monitoring was carried out in 30 liver transplant(LTr) and 31 kidney transplant(KTr) recipients from 2010 to 2012. Patients were assessed in our Department of Immunology at the Clinical University ‘Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca-IMIB' in Murcia, Spain for one year following transplantation. FACS Canto Ⅱ flow cytometer was employed to quantify the intracellular production of IL-17, IFnγ and IL-10 cytokines on stimulated CD4^+CD69^+ and CD8^+CD69^+ T cells and BD FACS DIVA v.6 software was used to analysed the data. Statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS *** LTr with OI had significantly lower % of CD8^+CD69^+IFnγ^+T cells at 60(7.95 ± 0.77 vs 26.25 ± 2.09, P nd 180(15.31 ± 3.24 vs 24.59 ± 3.28, P = 0.01) d posttransplantation. Higher % of CD4^+CD69^+IL-10^+ as well as CD4^+CD69^+IL-17^+ T cells were yet reported at 30(14.06 ± 1.65 vs 6.09 ± 0.53, P = 0.0007 and 4.23 ± 0.56 vs 0.81 ± 0.14, P = 0.005; respectively), 60(11.46 ± 1.42 vs 4.54 ± 0.91, P = 0.001 and 4.21 ± 0.59 vs 1.43 ± 0.42, P = 0.03; respectively) and 90 d(16.85 ± 1.60 vs 4.07 ± 0.63, P nd 3.97 ± 0.43 vs 0.96 ± 0.17, P = 0.001). Yet, KTr with OI had significantly lower percentage of CD4^+CD69^+IFnγ^+ at 30(11.80 ± 1.59 vs 20.64 ± 3.26, P = 0.035), 60(11.19 ± 1.35 vs 15.85 ± 1.58, P = 0.02), 90(11.37 ± 1.42 vs 22.99 ± 4.12, P = 0.028) and 180(13.63 ± 2.21 vs 21.93 ± 3.88, P = 0.008) d post-transplantation as opposed to CD4^+CD69^+IL-10^+ and CD8^+CD69^+IL-10^+ T cells which percentages were higher at 30(25.21 ± 2.74 vs 8.54 ± 1.64, P nd 22.37 ± 1.35 vs 17.18 ± 3.54, P = 0.032; respectively), 90(16.85 ± 1.60 vs 4.07 ± 0.63, P nd 23.06 ± 2.89 vs 10.19 ± 1.98, P = 0.002) and 18

PECAM-1 is an adhesion molecule that plays an important role in the process of tumour disease dissemination since a function in transendothelial migration, angiogenesis and immune response has been shown for this membrane protein. nevertheless the expression of PECAM-1 protein in solid tumours is a controversial matter and it has not been clarified so far. Thus, the aim of our study was to investigate PECAM-1 expression by immunohistochemistry in primary carci-nomas from colon, breast, bladder, ovary and kidney, and in their metastases. In addition an example of primary and metastatic melanoma was also investigated. We found that PECAM-1 is expressed in the metastases of all primary car-cinomas that express PECAM-1 (colorectal, breast and urothelial bladder). By the contrary metastases from primary carcinomas non-expressing PECAM-1 are also negative for expression. In conclusion, our findings support a possible role of this molecule in metastatic development of a subset of malignant human epithelial tumours.
