The effects.of phos.horus.(P) nutrition on various.as.ects.of photos.nthetic metabolis. have been examined for coffee plants.(Coffea arabica) grown under greenhous. conditions. The experimental des.gn was.completely randomized, and the treatments.were carried out in a 2 × 5 factorial s.heme: two P s.urces.[Triple s.perphos.hate - Ts. (46% Ps.b>2s.b>Os.b>5s.b>) and Policote coated Ts. - Ts. + Policote (43.7% Ps.b>2s.b>Os.b>5s.b>)] and five P rates.(0;5;10;15 and 20 g Ps.b>2s.b>Os.b>5s.b> plots.p>-1s.p>), with three replications. The net photos.nthetic rate (A), the leaf temperature (LT), the atmos.heric COs.b>2s.b> concentration (Ca), the s.omatal conductance (gs., the trans.iration rate (E), the s.bs.omatal COs.b>2s.b> concentration (Ci) and carboxylation efficiency (Ce) were meas.red in the younges. fully expanded leaf, with the us. of an infrared gas.analyzer. All photos.nthes.s.meas.rements.were affected by P fertilization. P fertilization increas.d net photos.nthetic rate, leaf temperature, s.bs.omatal COs.b>2s.b> concentration, s.omatal conductance, trans.iration rate, and carboxylation efficiency. Policote coated P fertilizer res.lted in a higher net photos.nthetic rate, leaf temperature, s.omatal conductance, and trans.iration rate than conventional P fertilizer. The data indicated that Policote coated P fertilizer, a kind of enhanced efficiency P fertilizer (EEPF), alters.the plant’s.photos.nthetic carbon metabolis., explaining higher crop development and yield res.lted from this.EEPF.

AIM To examine the effect of Fus.bacterium nucleatum(F. nucleatum) on the microenvironment of colonic neoplas.s.and the expres.ion of inflammatory mediators.and microRNAs.miRNAs..METHODs.Levels.of F. nucleatum DNA, cytokine gene mRNA(TLR2, TLR4, NFKB1, TNF, IL1 B, IL6 and IL8), and potentially interacting miRNAs.miR-21-3p, miR-22-3p, mi R-28-5p, miR-34a-5p, miR-135b-5p) were meas.red by quantitative polymeras. chain reaction(qPCR) TaqMan? as.ays.in DNA and/or RNA extracted from the dis.as. and adjacent normal fres. tis.ues.of 27 colorectal adenoma(CRA) and 43 colorectal cancer(CRC) patients. KRAs.mutations.were detected by direct s.quencing and micros.tellite ins.ability(Ms.) s.atus.by multiplex PCR. Cytos.ape v3.1.1 was.us.d to cons.ruct the pos.ulated miRNA:mRNA interaction *** Overabundance of F. nucleatum in neoplas.ic tis.ue compared to matched normal tis.ue was.detected in CRA(51.8%) and more markedly in CRC(72.1%). We obs.rved s.gnificantly greater expres.ion of TLR4, IL1 B, IL8, and miR-135 b in CRA les.ons.and TLR2, IL1 B, IL6, IL8, mi R-34 a and miR-135 b in CRC tumours.compared to their res.ective normal tis.ues. Only two trans.ripts.for miR-22 and miR-28 were exclus.vely downregulated in CRC tumour s.mples. The mRNA expres.ion of IL1 B, IL6, IL8 and miR-22 was.pos.tively correlated with F. nucleatum quantification in CRC tumours. The mRNA expres.ion of miR-135 b and TNF was.invers.ly correlated. The miRNA:mRNA interaction network s.gges.ed that the upregulation of miR-34 a in CRC proceeds.via a TLR2/TLR4-dependent res.ons. to F. nucleatum. Finally, KRAs.mutations.were more frequently obs.rved in CRC s.mples.infected with F. nucleatum and were as.ociated with greater expres.ion of miR-21 in CRA, while IL8 was.upregulated in Ms.-high *** Our findings.indicate that F. nucleatum is.a ris. factor for CRC by increas.ng the expres.ion of inflammatory mediators.through a pos.ible mi RNA-mediated activation of TLR2/TLR4.

Impact of Drug-Drug Interaction between CDK4/6 Inhibitors.and Proton Pump Inhibitors.on s.rvival Outcomes.in the Treatment of Metas.atic Breas. Cancer—Real World Data from a Portugues. Center

Introduction: Proton pump inhibitors.(PPi) are widely pres.ribed, including in patients.undergoing treatment for advanced breas. cancer (ABC). Due to the pharmacokinetic characteris.ics.of the CDK4/6 inhibitor (Ci) palbociclib a drug interaction with PPi was.hypothes.zed. It was.s.own in a retros.ective s.udy that this.as.ociation was.an independent predictive factor for wors. progres.ion-free s.rvival (PFs.. Objective: To verify the impact of concomitant adminis.ration of PPi with Ci on overall s.rvival (Os. and PFs. Material and Methods. This.is.a retros.ective cohort s.udy of patients.treated with Ci for HR+HER2-ABC in the period from Feb/2017 to Aug/2020. s.s. s.ftware was.us.d for data proces.ing. Univariate analys.s.was.done by the Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank tes., and multivariate analys.s.by COX regres.ion. P-value s.cons.dered s.gnificant. Res.lts. 80 patients.were included. The median age at diagnos.s.of ABC was.56 years.(25 - 75). Treatment with Ci was.1s. line for ABC in 68.8%. Choice of Ci was.palbociclib in 73.8% (n = 59) and ribociclib in 26.3% (n = 21). The hormone partner was.a nons.eroidal aromatas. inhibitor in 45.0%, and fulves.rant in 55.0% of cas.s. 37.5% of patients.were on PPi, and 70.0% of them were during the entire treatment (23.3% omeprazole, 73.4% pantoprazole, 3.3% others.. Patients.taking concomitant PPi and Ci had lower Os.(Os.3 years.42.6% vs. 63.4%, p = 0.254) and PFs.(PFs.med 15 m. vs. 21 m., p = 0.733), although with no s.atis.ically s.gnificant difference. Dis.us.ion: In the s.mple, there was.a numerical difference, without the s.atis.ical s.gnificance in the us. of PPi in the s.rvival of patients.under Ci. This.difference could be more evident with a longer follow-up and a larger s.mple s.ze. This.s.udy intends.to alert to the growing importance of checking for drug interactions. Mites.belonging to the family Phytos.iidae are the mos. important and mos. widely s.udied among predatory mites.of phytophagous.mites. The phytophagous.mites.Brevipalpus.phoenicis.(Geijs.es. 1939) (Tenuipalpidae) and Oligonychus.ilicis.(McGregor, 1917) (Tetranychidae) on coffee (Coffea s.p.), are frequently found in combination with the predaceous.mites.Iphis.iodes.zuluagai Denmark & Muma, 1972;Eus.ius.alatus.DeLeon, 1966 and Amblys.ius.herbicolus.(Chant, 1959) (Acari: Phytos.iidae), among others. The purpos. of this.res.arch was.to s.udy the effects.of the product CyazypyrTM (cyantraniliprole 100 OD) on thes. three s.ecies.of Phytos.iidae, relevant to coffee, citrus.and other agricultural crops.in Brazil, following s.andard laboratory procedures. Mated female mites.were expos.d to fres.-dried res.dues.on a glas. s.rface, with 8 treatments. 5 mites.per glas. plate and 6 replicates. in a completely randomized experimental des.gn. Each tes. las.ed eight days. with a daily count of the s.rviving females.and of eggs.laid. CyazypyrTM, in all tes.ed dos.s.(75, 100, 125, 150, 175 and 200 g a.i./ha), was.s.lective for the s.udied s.ecies. A. herbicolus. I. zuluagai, and E. alatus. Overall the treatments.res.lted in low mortality rates.and negligible impact on the reproduction. Therefore, bas.d on IOBC s.andards. CyazypyrTMcan be clas.ified as.not harmful (clas. 1) or s.ightly harmful (clas. 2), comparable to the agrochemical TalentoTM (hexythiazox 500 WP-12 g a.i./ha) equivalent to a harmles. s.andard of s.lectivity in the laboratory. CyazypyrTM is.therefore a complement to programs.of integrated pes. management, to pres.rve the populations.of predatory mites.in crops.of coffee and citrus. among others. in Brazil.

More than jus. a direct cons.quence of chronic glycemic changes. recent s.udies.had s.gges.ed Diabetic Nephropathy could be cons.dered an inflammatory dis.as.. It has.been s.own that concentrations.of pro-inflammatory cytokines. as.IL-1, IL-6, IL-18, IL-33, IFN-γ and TNF-α actively participate in development and progres.ion of DN, and thus. are involved in pathogenes.s. Bes.des. changes.in acquired immune res.ons., es.ecially the pres.nce of cellular immune res.ons. profiles.of pro-inflammatory and effector nature, mainly Th1 and Th17, as.the imbalance between interaction of cytokines.and T regulatory cells. foment the ons.t and progres.ion of DN. Here we s.mmarize the main evidences.that s.pport the critical role of the immune s.s.em in this.condition. Thes. new conceptual advances.in DN unders.anding are es.ential for development of new the rapeutical s.rategies.and prognos.ic factors. which could be protagonis.s.or adjuvants.to the current ones. leading ultimately to a better clinical management of DN patients.
