We present one of the first Shanghai Tian ma Radio Telescope (TmRT) K Band observations towards a sample of 26 infrared dark clouds (IRDCs).We observed the (1,1),(2,2),(3,3),and (4,4) transitions of NH_(3) together with CCS (2_(1)–>1_(0)) and HC_(3)NJ=2-1,*** survey dramatically increases the existing CCS-detected IRDC sample from 8 to 23,enabling a better statistical study of the ratios of carbon-chain molecules (CCm) to N-bearing molecules in *** the newly developed hyperfine group ratio (HFGR) method of fitting NH_(3) inversion lines,we found the gas temperature to be between 10 and18 *** column density ratios of CCS to NH_(3) for most of the IRDCs are less than 10^(-2),distinguishing IRDCs from low-mass star-forming *** carried out chemical evolution simulations based on a three-phase chemical model *** measurements of the column density ratios between CCm and NH_(3) are consistent with chemical evolutionary ages of 10^(5) yr in the *** of the data and chemical models suggest that CCS,HC_(3)N,and NH_(3) are sensitive to the chemical evolutionary stages of the sources.

Since the 20th century,humans have lived through five pandemics caused by influenza A viruses(IAVs)(H1N1/1918,H2N2/1957,H3N2/1968,and H1N1/2009)and the coronavirus(CoV)severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).IAVs and CoVs both have broad host ranges and share multiple *** co-circulation and even co-infections facilitate genetic reassortment among IAVs and recombination among CoVs,further altering virus evolution dynamics and generating novel variants with increased cross-species transmission ***,SARS-CoV-2 may maintain longterm circulation in humans as seasonal ***-existence and co-infection of both viruses in humans could alter disease transmission patterns and aggravate disease ***,we demonstrate how virus-host ecology correlates with the co-existence and co-infection of IAVs and/or CoVs,further affecting virus evolution and disease dynamics and burden,calling for active virus surveillance and countermeasures for future public health challenges.

为了掌握农药喷雾飘移的规律,从而为控制农药飘移到非靶标区域提供理论支持和技术依据,论文测试了由风洞地面向上0.1-0.5 m放置的5根间隔0.1 m以及水平方向距地面0.1 m高从2-6 m放置的5根间隔1 m的聚乙烯收集线所收集的含荧光示踪剂的雾滴,由荧光分析仪测定了收集线上的荧光剂含量,分析了不同位置处的雾滴沉积和飘移。针对Tee Jet公司的XR 11002延长范围扇形喷头、AIXR 11002气吸扇形喷头、TT 11002广角扇形喷头和TTI 11002涡流气吸型喷头在不同位置处的雾滴飘移试验、得到不同类型的喷头在不同风速和药剂时的雾滴飘移结果。结果显示,随着垂直高度和水平距离的增加,雾滴的沉积减少。风速增大时,垂直高度0.1-0.5 m和水平距离2-6 m的雾滴飘移都会更加严重。气吸扇形和涡流气吸型结构的喷头能产生更大尺寸雾滴,减少飘移量。采用SPSS软件建立了包含采样距离、风速、喷头类型和药剂类型在内的多变量非线性雾滴飘移特性模型,经检验,该回归模型的拟合度在0.847以上,此模型有助于降低喷雾飘移的风险,为气象条件的选择、雾滴沉积区域的预测、缓冲隔离区的确定、防飘施药技术的研究和喷施药剂药械的配套选用提供技术指导。

Rearrangements involving chromosome region at 12p13 are common abnormalities in hematological malignancies,including myeloid and lymphoid types. ETV6 gene is usually involved in the 12p13 region. ETV6 rearrangements are more often observed in acute lymphoblastic leukemia than in acute myeloid leukemia (AmL),where ETV6 gene deletions are more common than rearrangements. Here,we report an AmL case with the recurrent t(10;12)(q24;p13) as the sole abnormality. Fluore-scence in situ hybridization with mapping back to metaphases confirmed that the ETV6 gene splits,and rearranges with a locus at 10q24. In review of the literature,this is the first report of AmL case with the novel abnormality as the sole change. Complete laboratory findings from bone marrow examination,flow cytometry analysis,cytogenetic studies,molecular analysis,and clinical features are also described in the report.

On the maximum of Wind Power Efficiency

In our paper we demonstrate that the filtration equation used by Gorban’ et al. for determining the maximum efficiency of plane propellers of about 30 percent for free fluids plays no role in describing the flows in the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) because the ABL is mainly governed by turbulent motions. We also demonstrate that the stream tube model customarily applied to derive the Rankine-Froude theorem must be corrected in the sense of Glauert to provide an appropriate value for the axial velocity at the rotor area. Including this correction leads to the Betz-Joukowsky limit, the maximum efficiency of 59.3 percent. Thus, Gorban’ et al.’s 30% value may be valid in water, but it has to be discarded for the atmosphere. We also show that Joukowsky’s constant circulation model leads to values of the maximum efficiency which are higher than the Betz-Jow-kowsky limit if the tip speed ratio is very low. Some of these values, however, have to be rejected for physical reasons. Based on Glauert’s optimum actuator disk, and the results of the blade-element analysis by Okulov and Sørensen we also illustrate that the maximum efficiency of propeller-type wind turbines depends on tip-speed ratio and the number of blades.

Background and purpose:Providing participants with evidence-based care for secondary prevention is an ethical and scientific priority for trials in stroke *** optimal strategy,however,is *** report the performance of a new approach for delivering preventive care to trial ***:Participants were enrolled in the Insulin Resistance Intervention after Stroke trial,which examined the insulin sensitiser,pioglitazone versus placebo for prevention of stroke and myocardial infarction after ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic *** care was the responsibility of the participants’personal healthcare providers,but investigators monitored care and provided feedback *** studied achievement of 8 prevention goals at baseline and 3 annual visits,with a focus on 3 priority goals:blood pressuremm Hg,lowdensity lipoprotein(LDL)cholesterolmmol/L and antithrombotic ***:The proportion of participants achieving the priority goals was highest for antithrombotic use(96–99%in each year)and similar for blood pressure(66–72%in each year)and LDL(68–70%in each year).All 3 priority goals were achieved by 47–52%of participants in any given ***,only 22%of participants achieved all 3 goals in each ***:A strategy of monitoring care and providing feedback was associated with high average yearly achievement of 3 priority secondary prevention goals,but the majority of trial participants did not persist in being at goal over *** registration number:NCT00091949.

Genetic manipulation of cellulose biosynthesis in trees may provide novel insights into the growth and development of trees. To explore this possibility, the overexpression of an aspen secondary wall-associated cellulose synthase （PtdCesAS） gene was attempted in transgenic aspen （Populus tremuloides L.） and unexpectedly resulted in silencing of the transgene as well as its endogenous counterparts. The main axis of the transgenic aspen plants quickly stopped growing, and weak branches adopted a weeping growth habit. Furthermore, transgenic plants initially developed smaller leaves and a less extensive root system. Secondary xylem （wood） of transgenic aspen plants contained as little as 10% cellulose normalized to dry weight compared to 41% cellulose typically found in normal aspen wood. This massive reduction in cellulose was accompanied by proportional increases in lignin （35%） and non-cellulosic polysaccharides （55%） compared to the 22% lignin and 36% non-cellulosic polysaccharides in control plants. The transgenic stems pro- duced typical collapsed or ＇irregular＇ xylem vessels that had altered secondary wall morphology and contained greatly reduced amounts of crystalline cellulose. These results demonstrate the fundamental role of secondary wall cellulose within the secondary xylem in maintaining the strength and structural integrity required to establish the vertical growth habit in trees.
