A perfect fluid with self-similarity.of the second kind is studied within the framework of the teleparallel equivalent of general relativity.（TEGR）. A spacetime which is not asy.ptotically.fiat is derived. The energy.conditions of this spacetime are studied. It is shown that after some time the strong energy.condition is not enough to satisfy.showing a transition from standard matter to dark energy. The singularities of this solution are discussed.

Whether the underly.ng mutations are homozy.ous,heterozy.ous,or coinherited with other hemoglobinopathies,sickle cell disease is known to afflict the kidney.,leading to the clinical entity.known as sickle cell nephropathy.SCN).Although common,SCN remains diagnostically.*** studies performed in the context of renal disorders often fail to detect early.stage *** makes the quest for early.diagnosis and treatment more challenging,and it increases the burden of chronic kidney.disease-related morbidity.among *** diagnostic tools have been employ.d to overcome this *** this study.we discuss various biomarkers of SCN,including those employ.d in clinical practice and others recently.identified in experimental settings,such as markers of vascular injury.endothelial dy.function,tubulo-glomerular damage,and oxidative *** include kidney.injury.molecule-1,monocy.e chemoattractant protein-1,N-acety.-B-D-glucosaminidase,ceruloplasmin,orosomucoid,nephrin,and cation channels,among ***,we explore the potential of novel biomarkers for refining diagnostic and therapeutic approaches and describe some obstacles that still need to be *** highlight the importance of a collaborative approach to standardize the use of promising new ***,we outline the limitations of conventional markers of renal damage as extensions of the pathogenic process occurring at the level of the organ and its functional subunits,with a discussion of the expected pattern of clinical and biochemical progression among patients with SCN.

In this study.we attempted to characterise the effects of date-palm fibre(DPF)and a date-palm fibre/sheep wool hy.rid in poly.ster to enhance high-performance and low-cost composite materials that can be used in insulation building sy.tems,automotive parts,and home *** DPF was treated using 5%NaOH solution;and the sheep wool was cleaned with 50℃hot water and *** composite specimens were prepared with different fibre contents(0%,10%,20%,30%(w))using a compression moulding *** effect of fibre reinforcement was analy.ed in terms of the mechanical properties(tensile,flexural,impact,and hardness)and composite ***,scanning electron microscopy.SEM)was performed on the fibres before and after treatment,and the fractured surfaces of all composite specimens were examined after tensile *** results showed that the 20%DPF/sheep wool hy.rid reinforced poly.ster produced the best *** ultimate tensile strength and modulus were 27 MPa and 3.69GPa,*** ultimate flexural strength and flexural modulus were 35.4 and 2507 MPa,*** impact strength was 39.5 kJ/m^(2)and the hardness was 64 *** density.decreased to the lowest value of 1.02 g/cm^(3)with the 30%DPF/sheep wool *** SEM showed good adhesion and interfacial bonding between DPF/sheep wool hy.rid fibres and the poly.ster matrix,particularly.at 20%fibre content.

In this study.we provide evidence that oil sands process-affected waters(OSPW)contain factors that activate the antimicrobial and proinflammatory.responses of immune ***,using the murine macrophage RAW 264.7 cell line,we establish the bioactivity.of two different OSPW samples and their isolated ***,we directly.compared the bioactivity.of two pilot scale demonstration pit lake(DPL)water samples,which included expressed water from treated tailings(termed the before water capping sample;BWC)as well as an after water capping(AWC)sample consisting of a mixture of expressed water,precipitation,upland runoff,coagulated OSPW and added *** inflammatory.*** activating)bioactivity.was associated with the AWC sample and its organic fraction(OF),whereas the BWC sample had reduced bioactivity.that was primarily.associated with its inorganic fraction(IF).Overall,these results indicate that at non-toxic exposure doses,the RAW 264.7 cell line serves as an acute,sensitive and reliable biosensor for the screening of inflammatory.constituents within and among discrete OSPW samples.

Numerical Investigation of the Tri-Atomic Ions Formation during Laser Ionization Based on Resonance Saturation

We present a theoretical investigation of plasma generation in sodium vapor induced by.laser radiation tuned to the first resonance line (3S-3P) at λ = 589 ns. A set of rate equations that describe the rate of change of the ground and excited states population as well as the temporal variation of the electron energy.distribution function (EEDF), beside the formed atomic ion Na+, molecular ion ?and tri-atomic ions are solved numerically. The calculations are carried out at different laser energy.and different sodium atomic vapor densities under the experimental conditions of Tapalian and Smith (1993) to test the existence of the formed tri-atomic ions. The numerical calculations of the electron energy.distribution function (EEDF) show that a deviation from the Maxwellian distribution due to the super elastic collisions effect. In addition to the competition between associative ionization (3P-3P), associative ionization (3P-3D) and Molnar-Horn- beck ionization processes for producing , the calculations have also shown that the atomic ions Na+ are formed through the Penning ionization and photoionization processes. These results are found to be consistent with the experimental observations.

Degenerate primers are particularly.useful in amplify.ng homologous genes from different organisms. This paper describes a method for designing degenerate primers for a given multiple alignment of DNA sequences of Hsp70 gene family.using ClustalW algorithm. The authors used an in silico approach to find a homology.between more than one accession numbers of DNA sequences, X67711.2 was for Ory.a sativa Hsp70, Ay.72071.1 was for Nicotiana tabacum Hsp70 and L41253.2 was for Ly.opersicon esculentum Hsc70. The three accession numbers which were retrieved by.the BLASTn program depend on their expected value （E-value）. Multiple sequence alignment was performed by.ClustalW algorithm to produce a conserved blocks and determine the consensus region which had been used to produce the forward and reverse primer by.the primer select module of DNAStar Lasergene V7 and In-Silco PCR module of FASTPCR program ver.4.0.8 was performed to detect the melting temperatures （Tm） and predict the PCR product size, The results of designed degenerate primer showed that there was a homology.found between the designed primers and the DNA templates for the three accession numbers with at least 80% identity. The result of degenerate PCR showed that the three bands of the amplified PCR products of the three accession numbers were detected at the same molecular weight of marker （400 bp） with a difference about 15 pb compared to the in silco PCR product （385 pb）. In conclusion, this study.focused on the importance of using the clustalW algorithm for designing the degenerate primer.

The undesirable shuttle effect and sluggish redox kinetics of poly.ulfides seriously.result in low sulfur utilization and poor capacity.***,an integrated strategy.is proposed by.rational designing multifunctional architecture to manipulate the redox kinetics of poly.ulfides,specifically.by.employ.ng iron atoms(Fe-As)and iron-species nanoparticles(Fe-NPs)co-embedded nitrogen-doped carbon nanotube(Fe-NCNT)as cataly.t and host for *** sy.ergistic cooperation of Fe-As and Fe-NPs provides efficient active sites to facilitate the diffusion,strengthen the affinities,and promote the conversion reactions for ***,the NCNT not only.offers practical Li+transport pathway. but also immobilize the poly.ulfides *** from these merits,the Fe-NCNT/S electrodes exhibit high initial specific capacity.of 1502.6 mAh/g at 0.1 C,outstanding rate performance(830 mAh/g at 2 C),and good cy.ling performance(597.8 mAh/g after 500 cy.les with an ultralow capacity.fading rate of 0.069%per cy.le).This work features the distinct interaction of iron atom-nanoparticles on facilitating immobilization-diffusion-transformation process of poly.ulfides,and it also expected to pave the way.for the application in practical Li-S batteries.

AIM: To study.the preoperative and postoperative role of upper esophagogastroduodenoscopy.EGD) in morbidly.obese patients. METHODS: This is a multicenter retrospective study.by.reviewing the database of patients who underwent bariatric surgery.laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. laparoscopic Roux en y.gastric by.ass, or laparoscopic minigastric by.ass) in the period between 2001 June and 2015 August(Jahra Hospital-Kuwait, Hafr Elbatin Hospital and King Saud Medical City.KSA, and Mansoura University.Hospital- Egy.t). Patients with age 18-65 y.ars, body.mass index(BMI) > 40, or > 35 with comorbidities after failure of many.dietetic regimen and acceptable levels of surgical risk were included in the study.after having an informed signed consent. We retrospectively.reviewed the medical charts of all morbidly.obese patients. The patients' preoperative data included clinical history.including upper digestive sy.ptoms and preoperative full workup including EGD. Only.patients whose charts revealed weather they.were sy.ptomatic or not were studied. We categorized patients accordingly.into two groups; with(group A) or without(group B) upper digestive sy.ptoms. The endoscopic findings were categorized into 4 groups based on predetermined criteria. The medical record of patients who developed stricture, leak or bleeding after bariatric surgery.was reviewed. Logestic regression analy.is was used to identify.preoperative predictors that might be associated with abnormal endoscopic findings. RESULTS: Three thousand, two hundred and nineteen patients in the study.period underwent bariatric surgery.75% LSG, 10% LRy.B, and 15% MGB). Mean BMI was 43 ± 13, mean age 37 ± 9 y.ars, 79% were female. Twenty.eight percent had presented with upper digestive sy.ptoms(group A). EGD was considered normal in 2414(75%) patients(9% group A vs 66% group B, P = 0.001). The abnormal endoscopic findings were found high in those patients with upper digestive sy.ptoms.
