Olefin Polymerization Behavior of Titanium(iV) Complexes with Fluorinated and Non-fluorinated Aliphatic Phenoxyimine Ligands

A series of Ti(Ⅳ) dichloride and dialkoxide com plexes with phenoxyimine ligands containing fluorinated and nonfluorinated aliphatic imine fragments have been *** molecular structures of complexes 1 and 4 were established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction *** complexes adopt a distorted octahedral coordination structure around the titanium atom and two oxygen atoms are situated in trans position while two nitrogen atoms and two outgoing ligands(Cl or iPrO) are situated in cis *** of activators(mmAO-12 and combinations Et_nAiCl_(3-n)+Bu_(2)mg) and outgoing ligand(Cl or iPrO) nature on the catalytic activity and properties of the resulting polymers was *** Ti complexes,despite the nature of the outgoing ligands(Cl or iPrO) in the presence of Al/mg activators,was found to display a high ethylene polymerization activity in the range 1600-3830 kg_(polymer)·mol_(Ti)^(-1)·h^(-1)·atm^(-1) with a viscosity average molecular weight(m_v) value in the range 1.1×10~6-7.1×10~6 Dalton(Da).The resulting UHmWPE can be processed by a solventless method into high-strength and high-modulus oriented *** rheological characteristics of a polymer melt have been *** absence of a cross-over point did not allow to compare the values of the molecular weight distribution of polymers obtained on fluorinated and non-fluorinated pre-catalysts,however,the estimation of the entanglement density is in good agreement with the mechanical characteristics of oriented film *** activation with methylalumoxane,the activity of the com plexes decreased very significantly;however,a polymer with a molecular weight of about 12 million Da was *** the process of ethylene/octene-1 copolymerization,fluorine-containing precatalysts showed a clear advantage over non-fluorinated analogues both in activity and in comonomer content.

individual alcohol consumption by the population of Russia versus regional living conditions

Background:There are substantial regional differences in drinking alcohol in Russia,both at the population and individual ***,the causes of these differences have not been studied ***:The goal of our study was to examine the effect of regional living conditions on individual alcohol consumption by the population of ***:For the analysis,we used data from a cross-sectional epidemiological study conducted in *** final analytical sample included 18,130 people aged 25-64 *** conducted the interviews face to face,based on which any drinking in the last year,as well as alcohol abuse,were considered as a *** abuse was recorded when the respondent consumed 5.75 or more grams of pure ethanol per day(75th percentile of average daily alcohol consumption among alcohol drinkers).The assessment of the regional living conditions was accomplished via integral indexing,which was previously performed based on publicly available data for *** were assessed using generalized scoring equations with unchanging standard *** associations were expressed by odds ratios(OR)and 95%confidence intervals(C).Results:Deterioration of social conditions and increase in demographic depression in the region of residence increased the odds of any drinking(OR 1.51,95%Ci:1.33 to 1.72,Pi:1.05 to 1.41,P=***9,respectively).The odds of alcohol abuse increased with the deterioration of social living conditions and the growth of the industrial development in the region:OR 1.35,95%Ci:1.14 to 1.59,Pi:1.05 to 1.28,P=0.002,***:Our analysis allowed assessing the impact of the regional living conditions on individual drinking alcohol in the population of Russia.

Unique marine Olenekian-Anisian Boundary Section from South Primorye, Russian Far East

To show paleontological characteristics of the Olenekian-Anislan boundary beds in the Russian Far East, a review of new data on the Upper Olenekian and Lower Anisian biostratigraphy of South Primorye is given on the basis of five sections： Golyi Cape, Petrovka River, Zhitkov Peninsula, Tchernyschew Bay and Atlasov Cape, using new ammonoid, brachiopod and conodont findings. The most representative ammonoid assemblage at the base of the Anisian was discovered in the Ussuriphyllites amurensis Zone （10.6 m thick） of the Atlasov Cape Section： Parasageceras sp. nov., Prionitidae gen. et sp. nov. , Ussuriphyllites amurensis （Kiparisova）（dominant）, megaphyllites atlasoviensis Zakharov, Leiophyllites praematurus Kiparisova, Leiophyllites sp. , Ussurites sp. , Paradanubites sp. indet., Paracrochordiceras sp. nov., Prohungarites popowi Kiparisova, Arctohungarites primoriensis Zakharov, A. solimani （Toula）, Salterites sp. indet. （gigantic shell）, and Tropigastrites sublachontanus Zakharov. Conodonts Neospathodus cf. homeri （Bender） were found in the lower part of the Ussuriphyllites amurensis Zone of the Atlasov Cape. The Atlasov Cape seems to be one of the very promising sections of the Russian Far East for detailed investigation of the Olenekian-Anisian boundary.

Shock-wave impact on the knee joint affected with osteoarthritis and after arthroplasty

Degenerative diseases significantly reduce the quality of human ***-invasive treatments are used in the initial stages of osteoarthritis(OA).Total knee arthroplasty is used in the late stages of osteoarthritis of the knee ***-invasive methods based on mechanical action are also used for the rehabilitation of a patient after *** paper presents numerical models of the knee joint with degenerative OA changes and *** these models,a computational study was made of the influence of the intensity of shock-wave exposure on the conditioning for the regeneration of bone and cartilage *** on the modeling results,it was found that in the knee joint with degenerative OA changes,conditions for the regeneration of cartilage and meniscus tissues were fulfilled under medium and highintensity *** high-intensity loading(up to 0.9 m J/mm^(2)),the stress level was significantly below the ultimate value required for *** knee arthroplasty,the conditions for bone tissue regeneration around the tibia component are fulfilled only under high-intensity loading.

Highly Heat-Resistant materials for microelectronics:Hydrodynamic,Optical,and Conformational Properties of Fluorine Containing Poly(Amido-ortho-Hydroxy Amide)

The polycondensation of the mixture of diamines 5,5-methylene bis(2-aminophenol) and 4,4-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)dianiline(molar ratio 0.8:0.2) with isophthaloyl dichloride was used to synthesize poly(amido-o-hydroxy amide)(POA-F)-new heat resistant binder of the composites for microelectronics. The copolymer was fractionated, its hydrodynamic, optical, and conformational properties were researched, and molecular masses(ММ) of the fractions were defined. The polydispersity index was estimated. Based on experimental data, calculation of the size of a segment of Kuhn characterizing degree of an intramolecular orientation order and value of coefficients of the equation of mark-Kuhn-Hauvink for viscometric and diffusion data were performed. it was demonstrated that introducing 20 mol % of the monomer with-CF3-groups does not lead to any changes in conformational properties of the macromolecules and does not change the degree of intramolecular orientational order(the Kuhn segment length). Optical characteristics of POA-F solutions are virtually similar to the corresponding values for POA prepared with the use of single amine-containing component-5,5-methylene bis(2-aminophenol). The received mm distribution for POA-F(prepolymer) provided the solubility of its films in alkaline solutions. The heat resistance(τ5 and τ10-temperatures corresponding to 5% and of 10% PBO-F mass loss of a polymer) of the powders and the films of PBO, PBO-F were determined. The electrophysical parameters-dielectric permittivity(ε) and dielectric loss tangent(tan δ) of the PBO-F films decreased down to 3.30 and 0.017, in comparison 3.40 and 0.025 for PBO respectively.

Comprehensive semen examination in patients with pancreatic-sufficient and pancreatic-insufficient cystic fibrosis

We examined a cohort of 93 cystic fibrosis(CF)male patients who were pancreatic-sufficient(PS-CF;n=40)or pancreatic-insufficient(Pi-CF;n=53).Complex semen examination was performed,including standard semen analysis,quantitative karyological analysis(QKA)of immature germ cells(iGCs),transmission electronic microscopy(TEm),biochemical analysis,and sperm DNA fragmentation by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nickend labeling(TUNEL)*** was diagnosed in 83(89.2%)*** other 10(10.8%)patients were found to be nonazoospermic and showed various spermatological diagnoses(asthenozoospermia,n=2;asthenoteratozoospermia,n=3;oligoasthenozoospermia,n=1;oligoasthenoteratozoospermia,n=3;and normozoospermia,n=1)with no specific morphological *** was detected in 89.2%azoospermic and 30.0%nonazoospermic *** seminal pH(in 74(89.2%)of 83 azoospermic *** leukocytospermia(2.0×10^(6)-2.2×10^(6)ml^(-1))was revealed in 2.4%azoospermic and 40.0%nonazoospermic semen *** signs of partial meiotic arrest at prophase i were found in 4 of 6 nonazoospermic patients examined by QKA of *** content of fructose and citrate was low in oligospermic and normal in nonoligospermic semen *** increased percentage(>30%)of spermatozoa with noncondensed(“immature”)chromatin was revealed in 2 of 6 nonazoospermic semen samples analyzed by TEm.
